Beautiful old building. Staff very welcoming and friendly. We ordered bread and oils for the table ,I think it had been fried it was quite strange . Main course, pasta with prawns, garlic and parsley was delicious was but slightly oily. They had a good wine and beer selection.

Huge thank you for our daughter’s 21st birthday celebrations. Venue was lovely, food exceptional and musican James Baker was fabulous. Great party atmosphere and bar staff couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely a memorable night to remember.

Visited tonight 28.02 for a meal with a friend. We never get to go out and eat good food so was expecting it to be busy. There were 3 other tables in there. We ordered drinks which took ages to make. We ordered bread and oils and 2x carbonara. Bread never arrived. The carbonara were actually really nice but I felt they were a little on the small side. No cutlery was given and I had to go to the bar and ask for it. Upon ordering desserts we were told the coffee machine was broken but they could still make espresso martinis (no thank you) We ordered dessert because a were still hungry but they weren’t that great. The waited never returned to take a drinks order. After dessert we decided to leave. There was a lack of music and lack of atmosphere in there which is a shame because it has so much potential. To add insult to injury the bread was actually on the bill. Not a very good visit. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

I honestly don't like to give negative feedback but on occasions you are left with no choice. Visited the Bailiffs House in Bewdley as we fancied the idea of Italian food as advertised. It was valentine's day and started with some drinks in the bar. The place itself is quirky and very welcoming. Staff and the owner couldn't fault them. Unfortunately the food was such a let down. I won't go into the detail but have a feeling the chef had let the place down leaving others to pick up on their busiest nights. Would go back for drinks but not for food. Bailiffs House you can't fault just not the food, sorry.

What a lovely old building, full of character. Food was delicious. Especially the tiramisu!

I attended an event there with 79 other people (the Scrobblefest 2024). The team were AMAZING! They couldn’t do enough for us! All the meals were served hot and were delicious. Any extra requirements were met with a cheery, positive attitude. Nothing was too much trouble. I’m a fussy Londoner, and the service at this place blew me away! The atmosphere is cosy. It’s a beautiful building with a gorgeous fire and quirky, wonky floors. It’s a 5 star review from me. Go there and support a lovely local business.

What a brilliant place. Perfect location right in the centre of town. Parking almost opposite which is most convenient. Such friendly accommodating staff, cosy surroundings and great food. Able to manage large group bookings so highly recommend for work or group parties etc. An absolute delight!

Visited on Saturday 23rd November with 78 other people to celebrate Scrobblefest. The staff were splendiferous. Great service all day, great food - they really put themselves out for us.

I visited The Bailiff's House yesterday as part of a large event. The exterior (and possibly some of the interior) were used in a TV adaptation of The Box of Delights 40 years ago and we spent our 40th anniversary event , known as Scrobblefest there. Everyone at The Bailiff's House were very welcoming, they had gone to a lot of effort to dress the venue for our event, including a sign saying Prince Rupert Arms , as the venue was named in the show, creating a special themed cocktail for the day and playing the soundtrack from the show throughout our celebrations, this added so much to the atmosphere. And the cocktail was divine! Lunch was very tasty, I had Pork Souvlaki and Brownie and my son had a portion of pasta with Brownie as well. The service was brilliant, to say there were so many of us (80) food was served promptly and without any difficulties. We can not thank you enough for everything yo did to help make this day so special. I am lucky enough to live only a few miles away, so hope to be back again to enjoy a meal. And to sample one of those other delicious sounding cocktails! Thank you! ,

Nothing to rave about .There are better italian restuarants out there . Garlic bread with cheese is basicaly a pizza so dont order this if your having pizza for your main . Limited menu dissapointed there were no steaks. But you can get a steak salad or pieces of steak in a tomatoe/chilly sauce pasta . Carbonnara was missing taste, needed more cheese .waitress was very friendly and fireplaces welcoming but this wouldnt be enough for me to rebook a table here sorry . It was just ok I didnt feel I was having an italian experience.room for improovment.

We had a meal here last night to celebrate our anniversary. The building is stunning and the service we received from Adam was brilliant, so nice to be served by someone with personality, he couldn’t do enough for us. I’d visited back in may for my friends birthday and we shared the Mezze platter which was absolutely gorgeous, so I asked my husband if we could do the same. I appreciate that the menu has changed slightly since may but the Mezze, although tasty, was nowhere near as nice. There was less calamari and less halloumi and the meatballs that were on it previously had been taken off due to the menu change. I also realised after we left and I looked at them menu online that we should have had chicken shawarma and hummus on there too but they were missing completely. Overall it made it feel extremely overpriced at £40, especially considering the missing items. We will return though as it was obviously just an oversight, and the service was excellent along with the cocktails.

8.00pm table for two with a lovely atmosphere. Starter of garlic bread and mozzarella which was big enough for two and tasted divine and two excellent mains ( Souvelaki and a king prawn pasta dish) both excellent 11 out of 10 Could have eaten anything / everything on the menu - it all sounds wonderful, so definitely going back soon.

We eat at the Bailiffs House last Saturday, a group of 4. Excellent service, followed by live music all round brilliant experience, would definitely recommend.

A vaguely quirky and atmospheric restaurant with great staff and excellent food. A lovely mix of flavours in all dishes. We'll go back.

Booked for a special occasion with family and the food was dire. Lasagne was awful, and the pork kebab was dry. We raised the issue but staff were non-obliging. Never again, we ordered coffee but after 20 minutes cancelled it. Go elsewhere, it's that poor on food and service.

Fabulous place- love the exterior and interior. We both had pasta, so good, with a side salad. My dessert was yum- biscotti Bailey’s.

First time we have been to this beautiful restaurant. Had a fantastic experience, stunning surroundings, delicious food and friendly staff. Looking forward to visiting again as whoever created their biscoffi expresso martini needs a medal, it was amazing!!

Booked a table for 14 to celebrate my wifes birthday, the staff decorated up the room with banners balloons, made a special fuss of the birthday girl. The food looked and tasted brilliant, the staff all of them couldn't have done anything better. A night to remember Thank you

Sunday brunch today was amazing! Followed my the most fantastic home made cake. The selection of cakes was really good, the staff are friendly and its a nice cosy atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

The bailiffs house is a local bar/restaurant to us with gorgeous interiors, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and really tasty food! So it was of course first choice for us to host a 30th party here, it was a small group of 45/50 people and we had the front bar and side room all to ourselves. We were able to decorate with bunting, balloons and photos. Sam and the team were incredible all the way through. Drinks were flowing and the staff were efficient, definitely try the cocktails made fresh and really good! They also provided some beautiful grazing boards with olives, sun dried tomatoes, home made pizzas, chicken lollipops, spiced cauliflower and bruschetta. Amazing for us there was also live music on that night, a local musician named James baker, incredible talented singer and we danced the night away until closing! What a fab team everyone had such a great night and we are so grateful, will definitely be back soon! Don’t hesitate to book them for your next event!

Went for dinner on Saturday evening, the food was lovely. Both starter and main were very good indeed. Cauliflower starter and Lasagne main were very tasty. This is a great venue with great ambiance. The bar area is great and a singer/band is on every Saturday which adds to the atmosphere. A local favourite of ours. A special shout out to the bar staff too who are very attentive and know how to make a good drink! No waiting to get the attention of the bar staff here!

Great atmosphere. Food is ok, a bit pricey for what they offer in my opinion. We had starters and pizza and overall it was ok but lacked the wow factor. Would not order food again but I would happily go again for drinks. The place looks great and the service is good.

Attended Waterloo Abba last night at the bailiff’s house. What an amazing night! A fabulous performance and a wonderful atmosphere. We even had staff taking drinks orders which meant we could enjoy the show even more! Such a great evening. More events like this please

We booked as a group of 9 for a birthday meal at 5-30 and the ABBA tribute which advertised at starting at 7: 30.After we had eaten we went out side for the ABBA tribute only to find people was still dinning and no where to sit.When we approached the staff member who said this bar was is girlfriend's and when I asked where we could sit he said "I will get you some chairs" which he placed on the steps which I didn't feel comfortable as health and safety of people walking past us .When I did approached the same man he was very aggressive and tryed to intimidate me by saying the abba tribute doesn't start till 8-30 you will have to wait,which it clearly stated 7-30.He said you will have to take a seat inside until the meals outside had finish which he was still taking orders at 7-40pm in the garden .This venue was totally disorganised .We all had to leave as the atmosphere wasn't good towards us from the staff.I definitely think he needs to go on a people skills course because he has no idea about taking to customers in a appropriate manner . We had spent over £300 on the meal and drinks....which if we had carried on it would of been a lot more...We definitely won't be returning here 😞

Absolutely gorgeous food. Fantastic service. Gorgeous mocktails. Beautiful place upstairs including outside . Fully recommend that you try it. Unfortunately 4/ 4 of the meals are not on the list.

A really qwerky place to eat. Staff were lovely, music on in the background. Food and cocktails were delicious and decor was very creative.

Very disappointing. Long wait for food. Food not presented well, taste disappointing for all 5 people. Not offered parmesan cheese or pepper. Charged twice for a round of drinks. Young waitresses worked very hard.

This place needs to sit back a redefine their strategy. Staff are working in extremely poor conditions (extreme heat with no fans) customers waiting over half an hour for a drink and often walking out the door. It’s a shame that they’ve let what was such a fab eatery turn into a half hearted, nightclub. Experience is nothing if you can’t be open to constructive criticism

Fabulous tasty food and very generous portions

The pasta was good, although the portion size could have been a little larger (but I was very hungry). The lamb kofta starter came a bit too fast for a freshly prepared dish and could have been warmer. Prices are fair and the service was friendly and competent. Didn't try the middle eastern main course dishes (rose harissa cod sounded good) but an interesting menu. Worth a try.

Lovely atmospheric restaurant with great food and friendly staff

I visited this little Gem of a restaurant last Satuday, weekend of the King's Coronation. I had pasta with King Prawn. It was cooked to Perfection. Just enough garlic and just enough every other ingredient too. Excellent food, lovely service and two wonderful hosts. The atmoshere was relaxing and laid back. Thank you to Sam and Andy. I enjoyed the live music and the company.

Lovely food and friendly service

Really bad, booked a table and sat on the same table as another couple. Ordered gluten free pasta as it was the only GF option, pasta was inedible as it was undercooked. For some reason, all the rice dishes contained gluten, normally my go to is a rice dish if I can’t find anything else on the menu. If you have food intolerances don’t bother eating here. I wish I could remove the star. It’s a shame that the owners respond in such a childish manner, if you want good reviews, provide a good service. You could fix this problem but instead have chosen to insult your customers by making up nonsense. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Food was OK but not brilliant. The best part being the garlic bread starters. The sides chosen (Dirty Fries) very expensive for half a dozen skin on chips . Service was good but we appeared to be rushed. Good friendly atmosphere.

Food was very good. The waiting staff were very helpful and obliging. We asked if we could move tables to enjoy the log burner, and it was sorted immediately without question. The current owners have obviously put in a great deal of work to make the whole place feel cosy and welcoming. We will definitely go back.

Really disappointed, the service wasn't good at all. Asked what some dishes were, and the girl just said she didn't know. No effort to find out, bought my drink out then 5 mins later said they didn't have ingredients for my daughters drink, another 5 mins later had to ask for my husbands drink which was just a coke. Menu's that are on Google are not up to date, so didn't have dishes we expected. My husband had 5he lasagne which was really stodgy and overcooked with little to no sauce in the filling, I had changed my dish to a pizza which was slightly underdone. Asked where the toilets were and was directed to a door with a chair up against it, went in and all doors locked Asked the other girl and was told they were put of order and to go downstairs. The staff just didn't seem to know what they were doing! We were charged for the meal we changed then on the next bill charged for the drink they didn't have the ingredients for. The entire meal was stodgy and we really didn't enjoy it, the atmosphere was also very awkward.

Highly recommend this place! Tasty food, all 3 courses, very friendly and professional staff, and atmosphere 👌 After our main course, we ended up having coffee and pudding in the front room/bar area by the real fire and watching the end of the World Cup with the locals, and having a great laugh. Hoping to go back again, soon.

Recently taken over by new owners and they have done an amazing job. Been a few times and taken friends. Atmosphere great and good has been fantastic. Highly recommended

Plesant evening. Good fast friendly service. Nice food. But a fairly small menu.

I don’t like putting bad reviews and being a local business man I always try and support local business, however. Very disappointed, been meaning to go for a while love Italian dinning. 2 stars for the venue only as it’s lovely. No excuse for sloppy service and poor food. My main meal was Cannelloni Haddock with Spinach & tomato sauce. Had to send it back, Not one piece of Haddock in the dish and it was served like slop on the plate. Then to be told I could have two for the same price as they are all the same ? What sort of response is that, the signature of the dish is Haddock and there isn’t any in the dish ! Needless to say they were told not to bother. Service - No offer of black pepper or Parmesan, Parmesan was given in a small cup soon ran out between 4, replaced with grated cheese with no explanation (no Parmesan) we weren’t asked if our dishes were all ok either. Once the plates were cleared we waited & waited to be asked about deserts which frankly after the myself not eating my main was looking forward too. We eventually gave up just asked for the bill, which yes they credited the one main meal with no explanation. On leaving I can only assume the Manager who dealt with my meal complaint, never even acknowledged ourselves leaving looked the other way. Real shame

Sadly, it has changed a lot and not for the better. The ambience and garden are still nice and that's about it. Firstly, they advertised live music, which never happened. The service is uninvested, indifferent, the waiters and waitresses don't know what's on the menue and don't care. Maybe because it is up for sale it feels like the owner is just trying to make as much money out of it as possible until it does. Not a smart strategy. Not all people are stupid. The food was bland, uninspired and tasteless. Nothing like Italian food. No herbs, no garlic, no spices. The ingredients had no flavour like the tomatoes for example. A mistake you can't make with Italian food. You can't buy the cheapest produce and expect to end up with a delicious meal. The steak was chewy, the mussels were dry and cooked in something that was an instant tomato soup from a tin. One word: horrendous. We won't be back. Let's hope it sells and someone opens a good restaurant, maybe with authentic Italian food. Bewdley could do with one.

Love this café. The food is delicious . Lovely friendly owners great comfortable place to enjoy a peaceful but to eat.

Had a fantastic meal. A chicken dish with Arabic rice. The taste was amazing. You young waiter we had, he was 100 % with it. If I'm ever in Bewdley again, I'd definitely come back and have a meal here!

Visited Bewdley for the first time, what a lovely place. This Restaurant is not. It looks beautiful from the outside, so inviting. The Menu had a very limited choice, it didn’t feel like an authentic Italian restaurant. We ordered our starters 2x bruschetta they tasted nice but the bread was rock hard, a real shame. Our mains were Lasagna and chicken on a skewer. My Lasagna was rock hard on the top but was ok, is ok acceptable? Nothing to shout about. My wife’s food was also just ok and our funky chips were French fries! This place has so much potential with a great looking premises, but the food we ordered was a let down and very ordinary, maybe almost microwave food arranged on a plate to look fancy. We did eat our food because we were hungry and don’t like complaining and we really couldn’t be bothered to cause a scene. We wished we had gone elsewhere in all honesty, this isn’t what we wanted on our evening out in Bewdley. A member of staff asked if everything was ok and we said it wasn’t the best, he just sighed with an oooh, no apology no “shall I fetch the manager”nothing, we asked him for the bill and he didn’t bring it. We had to ask another member of staff and the extortionate £47.90 bill for mediocre food was promptly brought to us. £48 was handed over with no offer of change, it’s ok I didn’t want the 10p anyway, we just wanted to leave. We would have got better food in one of the cosy little pubs.

Lovely looking restaurant decor and cleanliness good but food lacking inspiration definitely not Italian at all brucheta bread not even toasted !!!! Chicken was too dry and over cooked salad Italian salad was just lettuce and cucumber chopped up. Very very disappointed.

I booked this cos we had seen it last time we were in Bewdley. After booking I checked reviews and was a little alarmed at some of them. No need - we had a fantastic meal with good service and will defo be back next time we are in Bewdley.

Just had a meal here and it was so so poor. The service was dreadful - they said the starter came with bread, it didn’t, and they then brought us someone else’s garlic bread and charged us for it. The “steak” skewers were just tough pieces of beef, the margarita cocktail was no more than a few sips. The cappuccino was brought out without froth and spilt all in the saucer. Both the food and the service were terrible, and then when we asked for the bread and the cappuccino to be removed from the bill they argued with us. Would never go back.

We visited on 22nd July 2021 and the food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. Whilst food service was prompt the waitors/waitresses seemed as though they would rather be anywhere else! We ordered drinks with desserts and they still hadn't arrived by the time we got the bill 🙃 although the staff were happy to remove them from the bill, no apology was offered. With some retraining, I am sure I would give it 5 stars in the future!

Visiting the bewdley area to see family and visited Pomodoro. Beautiful building and interior but came away a bit disappointed with the food. Our dishes never came with rocket as described and was replaced with spinach...!! There was no seasoning at all in the dishes. To be honest, my dish also had no chilli contined within. We fed back and was told chef was new. Appreciate it's kind of new again after lockdown but it would have been good to be told lack of ingredients before ordering. The food we had was nice and hot but lacked that extra flavour. Just came away disappointed and wish the experience was better....we was offered a complimentary dessert or drink which was kind. Thank you.

Service was far from good however food was really nice and upgraded the experience. Scrumptious garlic bread and mezze platter followed by a really good steak. Should try.

Always perfect and very friendly

A really lovely little find. We visited yesterday at first a little disappointed that it was Sunday meals only, however this soon changed with the meals we had. We had chicken roast dinner and it was wonderful. The seasoning was on point. It was one of the best Sunday lunches we have had in a long while. Then to top it off had the lemon meringue pudding which was huge and so yummy. Loved the decor and service. We will definitely be visiting again this time in the week as we love Italian food. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Sunday Roast take away - delicious 10/10

We could only get takeout... But it was so worth it. The pasta has the Italian flavour... The real one. Tried the house beer, and was instantly taken home.

Just been and had Sunday Lunch with the family because it was my eldest sons Birthday yesterday, and it was a beautiful meal, all cooked beautifully presented well and plenty of it . Desserts were lovely homemade and pretty much hit the spot. Service was great too nothing was any bother . Will certainly return.Great meal xx
