Poor customer care.. told them I had a bad fish 2 weeks ago that had to go in the bin.. Reply was you should have brought it back.. no sorry no apology.. so ordered roe/ Sausage this week.. to give them a second chance..... but WHY!!!!!!!!! I had fish sausage and old chips .. will never buy from them again.. and the staff were rude for me telling them how bad it was. Don't go ....

Came here the weekend. Chips have always been nice from here but not this time. Horrible, dry, mostly scratchings. £10 for sausage, chips, peas and a drink, no salt or vinegar either. Most of it went in the bin. We ate in but was given wooden cutlery and food in take out wrappers. Disappointing and won’t be back again. They serve you on one till, move to a second till to take payment then move again for your change, the set up was strange.

This has got to be the best English Breakfast I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection, even the toast was decent bread, coffee and tea was amazing and service was quick. Could not fault a thing.

Went recently with friends and understand some of the comments about no atmosphere as they take you to the back area where there is a lot more room than you perceive from the front reception -which makes it look more like a takeaway. Did not bother us as we were with a group of friends so the privacy worked well for us. Food was if a good quality and price very good value for money but recommend you do not order the wine. I think that they mixed it up with the vinegar! Samosas were on the tiny side too = about half measures compared to the norm. All in ok I would rate as good

Had a brilliant afternoon tea delivery from gingers, cakes are home made and freshly baked, evrrything was spot on!!

Really enjoyed our meals, huge portion sizes and nothing too much trouble for the Staff. Highly recommended

A good choice of drinks. Friendly atmosphere and the new managers are making sure everyone feels welcome. Well worth a visit.

Ordered our food 7:50pm still no sign of order at 7:40 pm so I rang to be told it would be another 40 mins! That would be nearly 2 hours, i get an hours wait but 2 hours is abit of a joke so In the end we went and collected it, never had a bad Chinese from golden country but this was the worst one, we will not be returning. Personally I don't think its worth even 1 star

THERE WERE 4 TABLES OCCUPIED IN THE RESTUARANT... WE ARRIVED AT 1.30 AND LEFT AT 4.00 wasted our bank holiday! JUST DO NOT ENTER... It is so deceiving: from the outside with the benches it looks like a nice cottage BUT... as soon as you enter there are two rooms... you have to help yourself to a menu and a table. Then we ordered 4 meals WHICH DID NOT COME WITH FRIES OR CHIPS, then we waited 1hr 45mins for the food OMG, THEY FORGOT so they took anougther 30min until they finally arrived. It was grousome; no chicken wings which is the main reason I ordered food, apparently it was freshly home made IT WAS FROZON FOOD FROM THE SUPERMARKET... IT WAS... AND THERE ISN'T ANY BACK CHAT ABOUT IT BEING FRESH. It was BABY SIZE, YOU COULDNT GET SCAMMED THAT MUCH FOR SUCH A SMALL PORTION NO REFUNDS FOR ANY THING

Absolutely Ridiculous. We booked an 18th Birthday a few months back and have put months of planning into it to then be told unless we have food it will be cancelled as some will be under 17. This was not stated when booked or on any small print. It's a scheme for them to make more money. We have worked so hard on this party for nothing. Awful service and the way they have treated us is not right

Food ready for collection on time and made well. Tasted great. Will use again.

Food here was very average with the chicken burger lacking taste and was rather chewy and dry. Waiting for the food was also rather slow

I would be very grateful if you would I gave my food back to a young girl with long dark hair Asked her to take meal back and she didn't come back to the table at all we sat at the table by the fire place we booked table for 2pm Saturday
