Decided to go to gingers for breakfast this morning having not been for a while. What a MISTAKE that was. We orders our food just gone 11am and it was brought out to us until 12. We ordered 4 meals, 2 breakfast were brought out and then the poached eggs and bacon but my partners meal wasn’t brought out. They had forgot to cook it, then I started to eat my poached eggs when I noticed that one wasn’t cooked properly. So we sent them back and then my plate was give back to me with my toast and bacon on and I got told that my eggs would be out soon, mean while my toast and bacon were going cold. My partner breakfast was then brought out and I got told that they were having trouble with the poached eggs but it would be long at this point my food was stone cold so I told them that I no longer wanted it and was given a refund. No apology was give for the delay in our food coming out or the mess with the poached eggs. Will definitely not be returning for a sit down breakfast will stick to their take away sandwiches!!

I am being generous with this review Breakfast was good, cups chipped, glasses dirty and toilet not working properly. Table cloths were sticky and sauce bottles were dirty with onion paper stuck to one even though onion was not involved with the order. We would have had cake it looked ok but after a closer inspection we decided not to. Also one guest was a large dog so if you have a dog you will be welcome here and they will cook for the dog too. Thank you for the breakfast. Good luck!

Gingers Cafe & Coffee Lounge well what an experience been going here for a few years lovely food and staff but omg never again, went today with friends one of whom has an allergy to tomatoes, ordered cheese and onion omelette and salad NO TOMATO... Plate came with tomato cut up all over the salad, sent it back, came back same salad tomato gone but juice and pips still there, returned plate again came back with pips till there, the waitress went to remove it with her fingers stood at the table !! Returned again came back with fresh salad until eaten there were still pips on the plate, No excuse for not knowing, everybody by law has to have allergy training. Then as I past the counter to hear the womas say " did they have their breakfasts any sarcastic comments?".... If your gonna be rude make sure your customers can't hear you and I think asking for food to be served correctly isn't a sarcastic comment.... No apology given... Avoid this place its really not worth it !!!

Stopped off in Stourport for a stroll around the canal basin and a general stretch of the legs, and spotted Gingers - or is it Mack's? - sitting just down a side alley off the main drag. There seems to have been a change in control although the old name is still promoted on the pavement sign, but that's by the by. Inside the decor is a little on the spare side and although recent efforts have been made to justify that coffee lounge claim, it's still much more a cafe. Doorstep sandwiches of bacon and sausage were exactly that - thick pillowy bread and plenty of filling, although the bacon included a fair bit of fat. Very little in the way of garnish and not a lot of butter on the bread so you needed a generous mug of very acceptable coffee to wash it down. We hung on for a few minutes just to see what a mega breakfast looked like as it was delivered to a nearby table - there seemed to be about a week's worth of food there. There were plenty of other cafe staples on offer as well as tempting looking specials, and regulars popping in and out to demonstrate popularity with the punters. Prices are on the bargain side, too.

Been to this cafe several times over the years and really enjoyed the full English breakfast. Always very clean and a good service. However, we went for our usual breakfast today and found it awful. The breakfast was very greasy and there were dirty plates and cups left on the tables. Our table hadn’t been cleaned up from the previous customers and there was no attempt to wipe it clean. I ended up getting a serviette and cleaned it myself! We won’t be returning.

I’ve been coming to this café for about 5 years and today, now that it’s under new management, I had my first bad experience. The staff were complaining to each other the entire time, as well as the server and chef shouting to each other unnecessarily. Our drinks, two apple juices, which were poured out of a Tesco’s own brand carton, came in two dirty coffee glasses that were stained with the server’s fingerprints. Our food took ages to come, then came lukewarm - my girlfriend’s order was wrong, of course. We also overheard the server call a woman a ‘horrible lady’ after she left because he didn’t know how to operate the coffee machine to make her a latte. Definitely avoid.

We visited for a quick lunch with family. The food was okay, but the service was incredibly slow, especially given there were only 3 other tables busy. They didn't tell us that they didn't have two of the meals we'd ordered until half an hour after we'd paid, one of our meals was forgotten entirely and the staff were really rather rude and made the experience rather unpleasant. Moreoever, the toilet lacked soap and loo paper. Recommend avoiding!

We were a fairly large group, 3 adults and 3 children, but all the breakfasts were cooked fresh and arrived together, which is something some places don't seem to be able to do. I had the mighty breakfast, which was so filling, the black pudding and fried slice were especially tasty, and the toast had a good layer of butter on it. I wouldn't say it was expensive either, I had what looked like the biggest breakfast available and this was £6.95.The cafe was clean and staff very friendly. Decided to try Ginger's Cafe for breakfast, I ordered a bacon baguette with a coffee while my husband ordered a full English with a pot of tea.The food arrived, the fresh, crispy baguette I was expecting looked flaky and was extremely chewy, it appeared to have been microwaved to death. The bacon was very greasy and undercooked. Completely inedible. The waitress came over to ask if everything was ok and I expressed my dissatisfaction. She admitted the baguette was microwaved from frozen and offered to replace it for a sandwich with soft white bread. I accepted this and waited. The bread was soft with a nice crust although sliced too thick in my opinion. The bacon was still greasy although cooked a little better.Meanwhile my husband found his full English to be disappointing, bland cheap sausages, greasy eggs and tinned chopped tomatoes (fresh would be much nicer). Unfortunately we did not have time to request the food to be changed again but I doubt this would have changed our opinion. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone and I don't think we will be returning.. The cook needs to use far less oil and source fresher, tastier produce. There are far better local eateries on offer.

I really wished that I had been hungry but it was only 11.00am and I had already had breakfast, the menu looked so appetising with about 10 different soups besides breakfast and all day brunch and other options with potatoes or chips and salads plus delicious sounding puddingsMy wife and grandson both really enjoyed their food and we all decided that we might return for lunch but we will have to go another day as we had to be somewhere, but I know from what some of our party ate we will definitely give their food another try in the future.

Our second visit. They have a small dog-friendly section, we had our dog with us. We were celebrating a family birthday. The reasonably priced roast dinner buffet is excellent, favourites at our table were the gammon and venison. There is a host of delicious vegetable side dishes. The price included a dessert which the menu tells us was taken at the table. There is an option to purchase a kids roast dinner which we recommend for children, we had two teens. However, we waited a considerable amount of time, well over a half hour for this. When we found someone to enquire the young lady (we had enquired twice) assured us that it would be sorted. All the desserts were good, my only comment was that the Eton Mess was considerably lacking in meringues a very tiny amount, I asked if there was additional meringue that could be added but the young lady insisted that I already had some. All things considered well worth it, we drive neatly 40 min to enjoy it - local parks and dog walks make it a lovely afternoon out.
