the chips are dry taste like they have been recooked and the price for a microwaved pie is expensive not worth it there are cheaper places to go now I go to foley fish bar best around town

Prebooked at 3pm for delivery at 6.30 and it still managed to take another 40 mins later than that. Not as good as previous orders, not very hot either. Always had hot good f, speedy delivery previously but shall think twice on whether to use again.

The Food was quite mid if I'm being honest first time ordering and also the last the Batter was crispy on everything but the food was quite bland no real flavour to the Cod or Sausages and the Chips were more pale than I am on a summers day 3/5 💀👎

Wrong items delivered, no notification saying items have been swapped (I ordered 2 bottles of coke and got 2 cans which are significantly cheaper so not really equivalent). Very disappointed.

Ordered the same as I have previously and everytime the sauce has came with the chip butty and sausage as it states it comes with sauce only tonight they added a note to the meal saying it doesn’t come with sauce?

Good food fast delivery service

Only got a large chips today, but they were delicious. A little pricey maybe for the amount that you get, but they were some of the best chips that I've had in a long time.

Ordered tray of “mix meat” kebab meat and received only half tray of just donner meat which was cold , requested a refund , which has been refused with no explanation. A shame really we use these regularly and generally the food has been great.

What a fab meal. The fish was huge and the chips delicious. Friendly helpful staff....nothing was too much trouble,we needed to move tables around for one of our party who was in a wheelchair and they couldn't of been more accommodating.

Normally a great chip shop. On this occasion purchased a meal deal to eat on Severn Valley Railway return trip, when we unpacked the meal on the train the mushy peas were missing despite being included in the cost. so annoying guys, meal ruined, too late to go back😔 Obviously cutting back at the expense of Customer satisfaction, so make sure you get what you pay for here and check your order before leaving!

Not very happy with the food. We usually order the food, and everytime it’s exceptional. Today there was a lot wrong with it. All of our chips were majorly undercooked and hard, the fish didn’t taste great. Really disappointed.

always use this venue when at the severn valley railway as right outside the station . ive read the other reviews and disagree strongly . i had the capt cod special mini fish/sausage/chips and a curry sauce . fast service and pipping hot fresh food . extensive menu and well priced . it was busy but always is . i wont go anywhere else .

Terrible food, ordered pie and chips got a microwaved pasty that looked like it has seen better days, gave me a bad tummy I don’t suffer with bad tummies but this made me violently ill today. Chips were hard, greasy tasted like that has been left over from the night before. Just nasty won’t be going here again we had issues here before and wanted to give a second chance gone right down hill Service was ok, she was lovely but who ever is cooking needs help!! Pastry was soggy and horrid on the pasty definitely microwaved. £12 wasn’t worth it at all. My partner has sausage and chips she said sausage was ok but the chips were vile. Cost and extra £2.80 for two small cans of coke ! Never again !

Absolutely horrible. Chips were undercooked greasy and not nice at all. Fish was covered in very thick dense batter. Scallop was the covered in thick batter. This place is very hit and miss. Won't use again.

Fantastic restaurant. Both me and my brother were satisfied by the service. Great for finishing of a long day on the railway.

Had a great experience. Good and service was amazing. Stayed in to eat, as it was raining so did not want to get wet. It was unexpected that you could eat in. I sad being walking past for months and did not realise that there was seating inside. Would return and recommend to others.

Didn’t fancy cooking after a long day n decided to grab some food from captain cod’s,can’t say either of us were impressed especially with the chips, they don’t look nothing like what they advertise in their pictures lol. Virtually half my portion ended up in the bin,they were the small hard bits not full chips.this place used to be well known for its great food but it’s let it standards drop unfortunately,just wish they’d give us what we’re paying for, a full potion of eadible chips n not bits n off cuts .not good value

Food never came. Rang the chip shop and all I got was a very rude hostile man. Who said "there nothing I can do you will have to call just eat as some picked up your food 15 minutes ago" no sorry nothing just rudeness and no customer service at. They need to get there staff some manners and customer service lessons.

Food awful! Ordered a children’s nugget meal, nuggets came in a bag on their own, no chips or drink. Donner meat was hard and dry with hardly any meat on the bun! Expensive too!!!

The food was not only amazing but nice and cheap aswell. Especially if you order through Yoyo (if you want delivery that is) Really nice batter on the fish, not too overcooked like some places and the chips are beautiful. I have never found another chip shop with such great quality sausages. The battered ones are in a league of their own. Also I love how they don't charge you extra for containers for sauces like they do at other chip shops in town. By far the best chip shop in Kidderminster.

Waited nearly an hour and by the time the food arrived it was cold, never waited this long when I ordered via Uber eats!!

Very nice fish and chip shop. I had chicken and chips on my last visit, and my sister had fish. Strongly recommend this fish and chip shop.

My last review, was “impressive”. This time the batter was not crispy and the fish not great. They were not worth the money but will give them one more chance.

Over 2 hours late , food was cold and items missing

This was supposed to be a little treat for my sons and an easy option for me. I wish I had stayed home and cooked. Qued with 2 young kids, ordered, paid and was asked to wait as they had no chips. Fair enough. I move my kids away from the counter as they get restless, the chap after me orders chips, pays then leaves with his chips, ok its a small and I ordered a large so no worries. 2 more customers go through, order and leave with chips. When I politely challenge I get abuse, when I finally get my food it is thrown over the counter at me with some more abuse for good measure. I hear chip shops are a dying breed, I can see why.

The order was delivered on time, however items were missing. Only one portion of chips were delivered and the bottle of coke was also missing from the order. Very disappointing.

Had dairy free amd gluten free fish and chips in batter this evening. Really tasty piece of fish, chips were great too. Wonderful service, would definitely recommend.

Went to pick up fish n chips on Christmas Eve. Website said open until 9pm. Got there at 7.05. Closed. V disappointed. Think they should get this right.

First time used and impressive

No issue with the food, early, hot and tasty but we didn't get the 2 cans of drinks ordered. Driver was gone by the time we realised.

You missed a small portion of chips

Delivery took forever, missing chips, kebab meat was extra extra thick and in chunks rather than strips, portion sizes not that great and very stingy with the sauces.

£6.01 for a chicken burger which is just that and a roll. No salad, no chips, nothing! The proprietor advised its Just Eat who set the prices and he receives many complaints and to order via the shop app 🤷🏻‍♀️ If that’s the case, ditch Just Eat or add salad, make it look a bit more appetising and give value for money. There’s no option to add salad, tbh I dread to think what a bit of salad would cost. For comedy value, I’ll pop a pic of the offending item on Rate My Plate.

£6.01 for a chicken burger, no salad, and don’t assume it comes with chips either - you’ll be disappointed. Apparently it’s Just Eat who mark up the prices …. well don’t use them it’s that simple. When challenged about the lack of salad I was advised I could add it - there wasn’t an option to do so. Now I’ve scoured the menu online and there’s not a stiff of salad on offer so if you like salad with your burger, spend your money where you’ll get value for money.

Asked for mixed salad with my kebab meat and chips… arrived with no salad at all! Delivery was excellent, on time and friendly.

£8:20 4 strips of Doner meat a a scoop of chips, very small potion for the price. Get more if you go in the shop. Won’t be ordering again.

The quality of the food was ok. It's just that it wasn't very warm. I think this was due to the driver having problems finding my address and in the meantime my food got cold. He had to give me a phone call to check if I'd ordered

We usually order online from here and the food is always really good. Not sure why the negative reviews as I've not had a bad meal here. They did forget one item on last order but apologised and corrected the mistake. Will be going back.
