7 Stars for food if I could (forgive the pun). Basically the pub provides cutlery and dishes. Plenty of restaurants nearby that do walk in delivery to your table. Best of both worlds. With that, wide selection of local cask ales, ciders and lagers, CASK and CAMRA approved. Very friendly community old school Pub with beer garden and regular bands and comedians. Always a must visit if in Kidderminster. Dog friendly.

Having just moved from Birmingham to Kidderminster, I’ve been on a bit of a recce looking at different pubs and places to go. This place is literally a five minute walk from my new flat. I visited last night for the first time. The pub is like a proper boozer. There are different beers and ales to choose from, as well as spirits etc. the decor is fantastic, a lot of wooden panelling inside the bars. I was greeted by Cara, who was exceptionally friendly, as I ordered my Guinness. Cara was particularly helpful, when I was asking about the local live music/open mic scene. One of the friendly locals gave me some insights in Kidderminster and he couldn’t say enough good things about the pub. They have live music events too, on Fridays. Bands will play inside in the colder months, outside in the courtyard during the summer. The pub serves bar snacks but doesn’t do food. They do let you order your own in, and will also provide plates/cutlery. I would recommend this pub to anyone. Pay them a visit.

I have been a regular in this pub for many years, it's had it's troubled times in the past, so it's great that the new licensees have managed to restore the safe environment we all missed. The zero tolerance on drugs and aggressive behaviour is most welcome (dealt with in a very controlled manner) and goes a long way towards creating the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that's bringing so many regular faces back (time and time again!). Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area, great beers, ciders, very dog friendly, clean, regular live music and a lovely crowd - what's not to like !!

A group of us (who spent money and drank here on a regular basis) were kicked out on NYE for "smoking weed"... when we most definitely were NOT. Idiot management handled it pathetically, so fair to say we left voicing our anger. What's insulting is that a couple of regulars blatantly sell (and reek of) weed from here under the management's nose and nothing is said, not to mention if you'd stood in the toilets for 5mins on NYE you'd have seen the amount of coke being sniffed by regulars!!! We have since been informed that we are "banned by association" (???) by one of our group who was there that night.. before being served a drink and allowed to stay!!! Brains weren't dished out with the pub licence that's for sure!!! They could have ruined our NYE celebrations that night, but instead we took our money elsewhere and had a better night for it... so thanks I guess! Banned or not, we wouldn't set foot in this joke of a place if it were the only pub in town.

Allways have a brilliant time in Seven Stars. I have been to this pub in both the winter and summer and both seasons have been a very relaxed atmosphere. The Barr staff are extremely friendly, I am always served quickly and love in particular the 4 for £10 shot deal. Claire and Rob have done a fantastic job in renovations and making it their own, the place is beautifully lit, spacious back garden and continues entertainment on some weekends. Would deffo recommend!

I'm not a Kidderminster regular, but I've recently been working in the area and have tried a few pubs in the town centre. The Stars has quickly become my favourite. Regular readers will know that I'm a fussy old sod when it come to my ales: The gaffer seems to care about his ales and usually has at least three on, frequently including an interesting dark ale. There's a selection of bar snacks, which includes some great pies and pork scratchings. It's an old pub with a modern twist - there's a great stage area out back and potential for some cracking gigs. Staff seem friendly, and everything's got a cool and quirky vibe. I'll be back! Listed here as a restaurant, but definitely a pub-goers pubby pub. None of your gastro-nonsense here - a traditional boozer with decent cask ales and traditional snacks.

This pub has got it right - they don't do food (other than cheese or ham rolls on the bar), but rather than try to do so, they simply encourage you to bring your own food, or have a delivery direct to the pub. They provide the plates and cutlery, and will even clear away after you. That's the way to do it - good selection of beers and a great atmosphere. Nice and simple night out. Love it.

Our second visit. They have a small dog-friendly section, we had our dog with us. We were celebrating a family birthday. The reasonably priced roast dinner buffet is excellent, favourites at our table were the gammon and venison. There is a host of delicious vegetable side dishes. The price included a dessert which the menu tells us was taken at the table. There is an option to purchase a kids roast dinner which we recommend for children, we had two teens. However, we waited a considerable amount of time, well over a half hour for this. When we found someone to enquire the young lady (we had enquired twice) assured us that it would be sorted. All the desserts were good, my only comment was that the Eton Mess was considerably lacking in meringues a very tiny amount, I asked if there was additional meringue that could be added but the young lady insisted that I already had some. All things considered well worth it, we drive neatly 40 min to enjoy it - local parks and dog walks make it a lovely afternoon out.

We came here for a meal to celebrate a family birthday. There was something on the menu to please everyone, including our fussy six year old. Portion sizes were spot on and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, even when busy; getting the balance between making sure we were attended to and leaving us to enjoy our meal just right. We would definitely recommend and will be coming back again to try more from the menu!
