Absolutely Ridiculous. We booked an 18th Birthday a few months back and have put months of planning into it to then be told unless we have food it will be cancelled as some will be under 17. This was not stated when booked or on any small print. It's a scheme for them to make more money. We have worked so hard on this party for nothing. Awful service and the way they have treated us is not right

Just come back from a wedding at this venue. Very poor. Under staffed at the venue, and the prices are way over the top for a poorly run venue, dont mind paying if run correctly. Spoke to one staff member and they told me managers don't help out when needed which i think is unfair. Stopped the night. Room was nice size, and bed was comfy, possibly the only positive. Bathroom is very dated and needs some serious servicing, bath/shower mixer didn't work, had to have bath taps running just to get shower to run. As a plumber I know the valve is faulty. Basin taps water was trickling out, again need changing. Overall I think could be a amazing venue but needs some serious TLC, some training with customers servicing and more staff

This was a brief stay setting up a visit to West Midlands Safari Park. We picked this hotel for its location and having a pool. The location was great as set up a very quick journey to the park in the morning. We booked in with no issues but then had to pay additional fees to use the pool. Although minimal, this was unusual and not something I've experienced before with BW or Holiday Inns. We had two rooms a family and standard double. Both were as described but a little tired in the bathrooms. We didn't eat here as chose to pop to the local town which was 5 mins away offering many options. Suited our needs but not somewhere I would shout about or look to go back to.

We stayed here on a tour of England It was a very spontaneous decision as we couldn't find anywhere we liked in Worcester due to it being a bank holiday and a lot of places being booked up. It was a lovely room and was big enough to move around in and watch some TV. It was a nice stop in our way through.

This stay cost >£100 for the night and I feel it is more like £60 of value. Pros: + The bedroom was well sized with a wardrobe, desk and chair, + the staff were attentive, though noticeably few in number. Cons: - In the room the curtains blocked the radiator meaning you couldn't heat the room and have privacy, - the room was cold by the time I went to sleep, despite the radiator being on full and there was no blanket or other item I could use in addition to the duvet, - the mattress felt old/tired and was not very comfortable, - the bathroom was tiny and there was no water pressure in the bath/shower, making showering unpleasant and difficult, - the gym and "spa" (small pool and a jacuzzi) costs an extra £5 and did not have access through the hotel, you had to walk around outside to get there. The gym was good for a hotel gym, - the restaurant food choices are average and the food quality is lower than I expected, - hot breakfast is made to order, which is a nice change, however the coffee machine is not good and the rest of the breakfast options available are poor. For £17 it's definitely not worth the money. Overall pretty poor experience and won't be staying here again.

Rooms average but comfortable. Reasonable value for money to stay but wine prices were astronomical for average wine. Really silly and not aligned to hotel which is a slightly aging property. Staff were all very friendly and I'd stay again if nearby but could do wirh some updating in parts.

Do not visit here! We paid a lot of money to have a family Christmas Day meal here, on arrival we were offered arrival drinks, empty glasses were waiting for us. When we were eventually showed to our table the waitress told us she was under a lot of pressure and was unable to take a drinks order from us but would try and get the barman to come to our table, 20 mins later we went to the bar ourselves. There were 7 crackers for 9 of us, all with the same joke and cardboard bookmark, really cheap. We were offered bread but when she got to me they had ran out so I was offered ‘the old stuff’ which was a stale sliced loaf. The starter was a cold watery soup, the main was such a joke, the pigs in blankets were raw, some of us had 2 carrots some had 4. A glass of wine should have been included in the meal which we had paid for but never got. Overall it was such a poor experience, when we complained I was told they were understaffed but we would be welcome to come and have another meal there, I would never eat there again!

As a party of 14 we all arrived for the New Years Eve 80s night with 6 course meal & overnight stay. On arrival the hotel was cold & so were our rooms, apparently the heating is on a timer so you wake up to your room cold in the morning as well. There was 2 lovely fires in the lounge which should have been roaring and giving out that lovely atmosphere to the hotel but they weren't even lit. The meal I couldn't fault very nice and good waiter service from the girls, from the meal we then had the evening entertainment in the next room only to find that we didn't have a table for the 14 of us and had to stand , the manager said even though we booked it as a package they don't reserve tables which we found absolutely bizarre!!. The price for 3 pkts crisps was £9 absolute rip off !! Wine £10 a glass !! £31 a bottle of pinot, several pints of lager were sent back more than once due to been flat and at £13.50 for two pints outrageous prices. As you've guessed we won't be staying there again anytime soon. To top it off breakfast stopped at 9am next morning ( New years day) .

Definitely not a 4*. Rooms are basic and old! Desk chair and lounge chair both need replacing. Bathroom is old and small. Room door is broken and needs a hard slam to close! Heating limited to a few hours and room soon looses its heat due to leaky window! Reception very friendly but hotel is 2* at best! You get more from a premier inn at a cheaper price!

Didn’t stay in a room here so cannot comment as we only dined. Dining area was cold and no tables had been properly set, service was very poor had to ask for glasses 3 times, and request plates etc clearing away. One of our party had Moussaka which was dry. I would not have paid full price for this as got a deal on Groupon but would not recommend

four stars? they call this a four star hotel?? two stars would be overly generous. Every minute of this hotel stay was shocking. 1. The outside of the hotel looks like it was constructed as cheaply as possible. Gross brown block with small windows. There is technically a ‘manor’ part of the hotel, but it looked like the majority of it was either a restaurant or suites they don’t give out to generic guests. 2. The entrance is very outdated, with dirty carpet and an unwelcoming atmosphere. It did not smell clean. 3. The staff at the reception desk were very slow and didn’t have an ounce of charisma or niceties. My partner and I arrived when there were two couples in front of us in the queue, and it still took upwards of 15 minutes to get to the front. Neither of the couples in front of us had anything complex, they just wanted their room number and card like us. 4. There is no lift, other than one to take you down the three (3) steps from the lobby. If you’re booking into this hotel and you have any trouble with steep, dim, grubby stairs, 1) I suggest you book literally anywhere else and 2) if this is your only option, make it clear you need an accessible room. I say this as we witnessed the hotel staff deny a change to a ground floor room to several people with mobility issues. 5. Our room was a long way down a very dimly lit, dirty corridor. There was litter and dirt trodden into the carpet, and both carpet and wallpaper suggested we had been transported back to the 1950s. 6. Our room was horrendous. Dark stains on the wall from goodness knows what (pictured), grubby window, stained bedsheets, grim bathroom and a smoke alarm that looked like it hadn’t been changed since smoking in hotels was made illegal. We couldn’t check if the smoke alarm worked but I assume it didn’t just by how yellowed it was. 7. There was a festival going on outside the hotel which we were not told of when booking. It made relaxing in the hotel practically impossible as it was so loud even with the windows shut. 8. There is no security upon getting into the hotel. You can get into the hotel corridors without a key and there is nobody at the hotel desk the majority of the time so literally anyone could walk in. I mean hey, if you’re homeless or struggling with food costs, you might as well help yourself to their buffet breakfast, they don’t check if you’ve paid for it in advance. You literally only need a key to access the room you’ve booked in. Even the cheapest travelodge has better security. My partner and I experienced something that made us feel unsafe outside the hotel and if anything, we felt even more uncomfortable given that anyone could get to our room door without a key card. 9. You might have got the gist if you’ve read this far, but there is never anyone at the reception desk. There isn’t a bell to ring at the desk either. I assume the only way to get someone’s attention is to scream, but given the lack of security, they probably wouldn’t care about that either. 10. The breakfast was awful. It’s a buffet. The pan of “scrambled” eggs was one block of over cooked yellow rubber that barely resembled eggs. Bacon was undercooked. For a four star hotel I expected at least better than a premier inn breakfast but I shouldn’t have been so optimistic. Their cooked options was as follows: sausages, rubbery slimy bacon, greasy hash browns, the aforementioned Egg Block, and the most watery baked beans you’ve ever seen in your life. Their breakfast muffins had raisins in them as I assume blueberries were too expensive for a poor little 4 star hotel that costs £100+ a night. Overall, just don’t book a hotel here. If you have an event on in the area, get the closest premier inn or travelodge and get an uber to the event. I promise the difference in price will be made up for by having an actual clean room that doesn’t smell like a museum about the vikings and staff that actually care. I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me £100. Thank god I was only here a night!!!

Stay away from this hotel at all costs! This establishment knowingly allows its guests to take drugs on to its premises. Complaints to staff fell on deaf ears and this hotel just simply doesn't seem to care who it has staying at its premises as long as they receive money. Multiple complaints were made about an individual publicly filming himself with a class B drug in his room and it went from staff members laughing about it to then being outright ignored by management. If you have any shred of decency, morale value and dignity give this dive a swerve. Appalling service (or lack of).

I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me. Stupidly I didn’t listen to all the bad reviews of this hotel as I like to make my own judgement but I regret this. I had a 2 night stay and the room and hotel was so disgusting and smelled of mould that I asked to cancel the 2nd night. I then stayed at a different hotel. Sadly the Stourport manor decided that they wouldn’t give me a refund for the night I cancelled due to it being “non refundable”. Albeit I don’t think that’s the point when the room and hotel are so dirty that you can’t stay there. The customer service desk hide so you can’t talk to them, they don’t reply to emails and never call back when you ask to speak to the manager. All in all the worst hotel I have ever been in and would never go back! To call it a 4 star is a liberty

Was there for the 80s night. The band was fantastic. But as for the bar service. I could have planted an apple seed and made my own cider by the time I got to the bar. 40 mins in line and 10 songs later and I was pissed off. Let's just say, if you were celebrating a birthday that night, you would have needed an extra candle for the cake by the time you got your glass of champers. Actual picture of me when I finally got to the bar.
