four stars? they call this a four star hotel?? two stars would be overly generous. Every minute of this hotel stay was shocking. 1. The outside of the hotel looks like it was constructed as cheaply as possible. Gross brown block with small windows. There is technically a ‘manor’ part of the hotel, but it looked like the majority of it was either a restaurant or suites they don’t give out to generic guests. 2. The entrance is very outdated, with dirty carpet and an unwelcoming atmosphere. It did not smell clean. 3. The staff at the reception desk were very slow and didn’t have an ounce of charisma or niceties. My partner and I arrived when there were two couples in front of us in the queue, and it still took upwards of 15 minutes to get to the front. Neither of the couples in front of us had anything complex, they just wanted their room number and card like us. 4. There is no lift, other than one to take you down the three (3) steps from the lobby. If you’re booking into this hotel and you have any trouble with steep, dim, grubby stairs, 1) I suggest you book literally anywhere else and 2) if this is your only option, make it clear you need an accessible room. I say this as we witnessed the hotel staff deny a change to a ground floor room to several people with mobility issues. 5. Our room was a long way down a very dimly lit, dirty corridor. There was litter and dirt trodden into the carpet, and both carpet and wallpaper suggested we had been transported back to the 1950s. 6. Our room was horrendous. Dark stains on the wall from goodness knows what (pictured), grubby window, stained bedsheets, grim bathroom and a smoke alarm that looked like it hadn’t been changed since smoking in hotels was made illegal. We couldn’t check if the smoke alarm worked but I assume it didn’t just by how yellowed it was. 7. There was a festival going on outside the hotel which we were not told of when booking. It made relaxing in the hotel practically impossible as it was so loud even with the windows shut. 8. There is no security upon getting into the hotel. You can get into the hotel corridors without a key and there is nobody at the hotel desk the majority of the time so literally anyone could walk in. I mean hey, if you’re homeless or struggling with food costs, you might as well help yourself to their buffet breakfast, they don’t check if you’ve paid for it in advance. You literally only need a key to access the room you’ve booked in. Even the cheapest travelodge has better security. My partner and I experienced something that made us feel unsafe outside the hotel and if anything, we felt even more uncomfortable given that anyone could get to our room door without a key card. 9. You might have got the gist if you’ve read this far, but there is never anyone at the reception desk. There isn’t a bell to ring at the desk either. I assume the only way to get someone’s attention is to scream, but given the lack of security, they probably wouldn’t care about that either. 10. The breakfast was awful. It’s a buffet. The pan of “scrambled” eggs was one block of over cooked yellow rubber that barely resembled eggs. Bacon was undercooked. For a four star hotel I expected at least better than a premier inn breakfast but I shouldn’t have been so optimistic. Their cooked options was as follows: sausages, rubbery slimy bacon, greasy hash browns, the aforementioned Egg Block, and the most watery baked beans you’ve ever seen in your life. Their breakfast muffins had raisins in them as I assume blueberries were too expensive for a poor little 4 star hotel that costs £100+ a night. Overall, just don’t book a hotel here. If you have an event on in the area, get the closest premier inn or travelodge and get an uber to the event. I promise the difference in price will be made up for by having an actual clean room that doesn’t smell like a museum about the vikings and staff that actually care. I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me £100. Thank god I was only here a night!!!

Stay away from this hotel at all costs! This establishment knowingly allows its guests to take drugs on to its premises. Complaints to staff fell on deaf ears and this hotel just simply doesn't seem to care who it has staying at its premises as long as they receive money. Multiple complaints were made about an individual publicly filming himself with a class B drug in his room and it went from staff members laughing about it to then being outright ignored by management. If you have any shred of decency, morale value and dignity give this dive a swerve. Appalling service (or lack of).

I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me. Stupidly I didn’t listen to all the bad reviews of this hotel as I like to make my own judgement but I regret this. I had a 2 night stay and the room and hotel was so disgusting and smelled of mould that I asked to cancel the 2nd night. I then stayed at a different hotel. Sadly the Stourport manor decided that they wouldn’t give me a refund for the night I cancelled due to it being “non refundable”. Albeit I don’t think that’s the point when the room and hotel are so dirty that you can’t stay there. The customer service desk hide so you can’t talk to them, they don’t reply to emails and never call back when you ask to speak to the manager. All in all the worst hotel I have ever been in and would never go back! To call it a 4 star is a liberty

Was there for the 80s night. The band was fantastic. But as for the bar service. I could have planted an apple seed and made my own cider by the time I got to the bar. 40 mins in line and 10 songs later and I was pissed off. Let's just say, if you were celebrating a birthday that night, you would have needed an extra candle for the cake by the time you got your glass of champers. Actual picture of me when I finally got to the bar.

Some sort of 80s event going on the night we stayed, so the bar was rammed and there was noise throughout the night. Room was OK, it was all fine really. The £5 to use the pool was unexpected, but it was empty maybe as a result

Don't like to give bad reviews, but had one of the worst beef currys I have ever had . The beef was slimey and chewy and not edible , most of it went in the bin . That said the sevice was brilliant...
