Nabiel's in Wyre Forest

Went recently with friends and understand some of the comments about no atmosphere as they take you to the back area where there is a lot more room than you perceive from the front reception -which makes it look more like a takeaway. Did not bother us as we were with a group of friends so the privacy worked well for us. Food was if a good quality and price very good value for money but recommend you do not order the wine. I think that they mixed it up with the vinegar! Samosas were on the tiny side too = about half measures compared to the norm. All in ok I would rate as good

Not a bad place and reasonably priced just ver average which would be ok in Kidderminster but in Stourport there are much better options. Place looks tired and in need of change in direction. Food is ok nothing wrong with their food but it's second rate compared to the competition.

Visited on a Friday night, at 7pm we were the only table occupied, by nine thirty there was another table occupied. The waiter was a little lost, no banter, well no conversation at all, and just seemed to hover around with no purpose. Food was OK, the only thing that was exceptional was the Nabiels special rice, that was really good, the rest was so-so,can't see us going back any time soon.

Staff are really friendly, funny and welcoming. Food is cooked to a high standard, we e we I’ll return.

I went with my friend for a catch up and curry didn't have a starter but I had a chicken balti and my friend had chicken tika we had rice and nan bread, food was very tasty and it was all piping hot service was very good and staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them, restaurant was warm and decorated to a nice standard and it was very clean I would definitely go again and you are able to park outside on the road of a evening.

We love Nabiels. As always the food and service are spot on, the prices are fair, and the portions are good. This time, we organised a party of 23 for our granddaughters 16th birthday and it all went down really well. The restaurant was very busy but the wonderful staff (and chefs) delivered everything on time and always with a smile. We had a lovely evening and it was great to see the restaurant so busy. Thanks again Nabiels, see you very soon.

Had an enjoyable evening last night, started with a mountain of popudoms [never know correct spelling] very tasty pickle tray too. Food came quick enough and was piping hot and everyone enjoyed what they ordered, there was no rush to move us on when we had finished, will be back.

Quiet tuesday evening, couple of cobras, pops and dips, curry each, naan’s, rice, coffee. Perfectly served, friendly staff, not many people in, but a good atmosphere. Would highly recommend the north Indian chilli chicken, and vegetable naan. Really good food. We hung around chatting for ages after the meal, and it wasn’t a problem. Will return.

Great little restaurant with a good range of meals which can be cooked as you want it. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff a little gem on York Street.

We went to Nabiels a couple of months ago on the off chance, welcomed in and had a wonderful evening. Tradition Indian cuisine with many of the usual dishes. Large seating area, good for groups, but also 2 seat tables for couples having a nice meal together. They have a bar, but limited selection of beers. There is a full wine list however to enjoy with your meal. If you do go on a quite night, you may have a dedicated server, who will be able to cook certain dishes tableside, always nice to see it being cooked! No issues, great place, will go again and recommend.

Nice people, and very friendly, but the place is tired, and not very clean. The food is second rate. Although we only order main courses, we left a good amount.

Been there twice in two weeks. Great food and service. If we lived in the UK we would be regulars. friendly owner and servers. Parking is a bit sketchy at dinning hours but available and close if you look.

Another snap decision to visit after a big let down somewhere else. Yummy food as always except maybe the lamb was a little tough and chewy. Still almost empty though, such a shame.

Starter's of Mixed Vegetables for me was tasty and hot, but the Chicken Tikka was tasty but barely warm.

Absolutely superb meal. The north Indian garlic chilli chicken, mushroom pilau rice and keema naan I had was excellent. Just enough heat and spice. Loved it.

Have been in a few times now and really recommend Nabiel's to all the staff are friendly and the meals are very tasty, we will definitely be going again

14 of us for a meal ranging from toddlers to middle aged all had starters and mains, the food was excellent as usual several of us had Tawa's the rest had various curry dishes. They cook the food as you wait and take a lot of care so no good if you want a quick meal but if you are after a good Indian eating experience then its the place to go

went to Worcester to visit the Christmas markets and this restaurant was recommended by the hotel we were staying in. Excellent food, excellent service but not many people in so atmosphere a little quiet

over the past few years we have had takeaways from nabiels and found the food to be nice, staff always friendly and you can have a beer while you wait.However on Saturday we were given the worst tasting food ever. We ordered prawn puri starters, house special biryani, chicken tika balti. the prawns in the starters, were either very cheap or very old as were extremely fishy tasting. The puri was undercooked and like dough.Again the biryani contained prawns which again were pungent and completely spoilt the taste of the food.£25 spent on awful food and will not be visiting again.

This was a snap decision on a Saturday evening to eat here again and we were very surprised to find the restaurant almost full! Each previous time it’s always been empty.

We have just had an excellent meal here. Staff were very friendly, food was superb, restaurant was very comfortable.

Acabamos de regresar de una maravillosa comida del día del padre! Servicio de primera clase desde el momento que entramos por la puerta. La comida es excelente y tan fresco. No había personal agresivo, en un ambiente tranquilo y relajado. La calidad de la comida es fabulosa y las porciones son adecuadas, así que no dejar sensación hinchado como lo hacen en algunos lugares. Comimos aquí sobre una base regular y la comida es muy buena, nunca he tenido uno malo. Pan naan es simplemente el mejor de todos. no tengo ninguna queja, el servicio siempre buena, la comida siempre es bueno.

The food was tasty but I would have liked the service to be friendlier and quicker. Staff were stressed and didn't smile much which dampened the atmosphere a bit.

This was our second choice after we could not get into Namaste. To be fair it should have been our first choice. The welcome was friendly and the service was prompt.The food was hot and very delicious. Just about the right quantity which didn't leave us stuffed like many Indian meals do.Well worth a visit and I would make it first choice to the other restaurant which looked very small and cramped.

I had the house special Byrianni which includes meat and king prawns. It was very good for a reasonable price. The service was very friendly too. I don't know if it is the best in the town but it suits me.

After a very average visit to our usual curry house recently we decided to try Nabiels and we weren't disappointed.Visited at around 730pm & restaurant wasn't packed. Started with fresh crisp poppadoms with the usual chutneys.Both had tasty sheek kebabs to start with, served with lovely fresh salad.I had a yummy chicken tikka for my main while my partner had veg curry with rice. We shared a fluffy garlic naan. All of this was washed down by a pint of Cobra and a bottle of Bangla.Staff are very friendly and attentive and if you are in the area I would recommend you try this restaurant

We have been travelling to lye for years for a curry, friends told us how good Nabjels was so thought we would give it a try and wow what a surprise, the food was excellent coukd not fault it al all the staff we very friendly and the price very good, so please give it a try you will not be dissapointed

Came for a friend's birthday meal. The food was ok but not as good as a lot of curries I have had. However it wasn't overly expensive and the service was good. I'd give it 3 and a half stars but would chose to go elsewhere before returning.

Came here for the first time over Christmas with friends. We were all really impressed; the food was delicious, I had a chicken balti which I have to say is one of the best balti's I've ever had! Staff friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning.

My favourite Indian I've ever been too and go regularly, all the staff are lovely and the food is perfect! Also love there selection of cocktails, would recommend to anyone!

Decided after a few drinks we needed a curry - as we walked upto Nabiel the waiter was justt by the door, we asked for a table - no problem at all even though it was around 11pm! Decor bright cheery and clean - and its a lot bigger inside than I thought. The waiter was attentive and knowledgable. Food was great - will definitely return

Went here with my 13 yo son and his mate. Son had never had curry before he had a steak but by the end of meal he is now a convert to curry. Food was great and the staff were posdible some of the friendly staff i have ever meet. Thanks for a great meal and converting my son to curry. Cheers

Me and my wife have been going to this restaurant for two to three years now. The food is always good,the staff are great and it's reasonably priced. What more needs saying.

The food is perfection. The staff are very friendly and extremely accomidating. The restaurant is spacious and always very clean. Most of the time the restaurant isn't very busy so it is very peaceful. Regularly eat here. There has never been a problem. Outstanding and by far the best curry I've ever had. Very reasonably priced, too.

This has got to be the best Indian takeaway in Stourport and surrounding areas. The food is always cooked to perfection and the staff can't do enough for you. Its always our first choice for Indian food

Fantastic prompt service, warm welcome, seated and offered drinks straight away, we've been a few times and have always enjoyed our visit, easily the best in the local area, food is fresh and high quality and excellent value for money, would definitely recommend.

Have just been to Nabiel's and enjoyed a good meal with my parents. There is a good selection of food and it tasted good also. The service was quick and friendly. The price was also very reasonable. Will definitely go again.

Have eaten here a few times. They always aim to please and accommodate your needs. Service is good ,friendly staff and the wait isn't too long . Mojitos are good. Prices are good.

Not sure about this place. Lovely inside, quite spacious and clean but no atmosphere at all. Very few diners each time we've eaten there. This time it was just us and another table of 4. And that is on a Friday evening. They don't have any midweek offers like the other Indians locally so maybe that is why. The food was ok, nothing special. In fact my dupiaza sauce tasted the same as my friends bhoona. I've heard it's now up for sale. Doesn't really surprise me.

We absolutely love this place and we've never found an Indian restaurant as good. This place is so reasonably priced but when you go in there you're treated like you're the most important person in the world. Real personalised service and they remember you too. if you like to pay your money to racist people then these are the people to pay your IS fee to....if your not happy they will attack you in groups like the cowards they are....people around stourport dont know this which is the only reason this racist anti british resturant is still running

One of the better Indians in the area. Great customer service and wonderful food. Butter chicken is really lovely and nothing is to much trouble for the staff.

We got a takeaway here as we came through in our canal boat.I was really impressed by the quality of the food and the depth of flavours.The guys were friendly and chatty whilst my order was prepared.Make this your number one stop for Indian cuisine in Stourport

We have tried all the Indians in stourport now and this is my favourite! Friendly staff and tasty food and at the moment not too busy so you can actually get a table!

Got a takeaway from here a couple of weeks ago, ordered Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi, my girlfriend ordered Paneer Tikka Jalfrezi (vegi option) to cut a long story short we soon realised that our dishes had been cooked in the same dish then separated (apparently by Stevie Wonder) upon serving. Upon starting to eat mine finding a percentage of it to be paneer instead of chicken wasn't a problem for me. However my vegetarian girlfiend to find a number of chicken pieces in her meal is not really good. All it has done for me is show very low standards and sheer laziness as the restaraunt wasn't even busy. Upon returning to question the manager get he didn't really seem to care which speaks volumes in itself. Will give a wide birth from now on.

We have had 3 or 4 takeaways from Nabiels over the last year or so. We always received a warm welcome and prompt attention on entering. The restaurant looked nice and clean every time. We have never eaten in, so can't really comment on service as such.The food was very good, well-spiced and delicious, all the dishes, every time. This has become our favourate indian takeaway in town!

If I had written this review a few months ago it would have been very different. This was always my favourite Indian restaurant. It felt classier than some of the others. It doesn't have a meal deal and is licensed for a start. All my positive impressions unravelled a few weeks ago when getting take away. My partner and I ordered the same dish - mine was the vegetarian option, his was the chicken version. Upon arriving home it became very clear that they had cooked both dishes in the same pan and tried to fish out the chicken bits to my partners container and the veggie bits to mine. They did not even manage to do that well as I had two chicken bits in mine and he had some of my veggie stuff. When we took it back they admitted that they had cooked the dish in one but worryingly did not see a problem with this. This highlights how standards in the kitchen are not high and the glossier exterior of the place are not indicative of any higher quality than the cheaper places you could visit.

Have regular take aways from here and would like to say how good the food & service is. Always greeted with a friendly face & deliveries are always efficient. Booked for 60 of us to eat in New Years Eve. The service and quality of food was excellent and enjoyed by all. Thanks Nabiels

This was my first visit to Nabiel's. As a regular visitor to Indian restaurants I do know this can be a risk sometimes. The restaurant was very clean, spacious and very well presented. The food was very good indeed and the portion sizes were good enough to satisfy even those with a large appetite. The service was attentive and extremely courteous too.I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant as a place to dine; great food at very reasonable cost in a nice setting.

This was the second visit for our family. Food still very good, tasty and not expensive. Service excellent. We will certainly be making more visits.

After finding the staff in the Namaste so unhelpful and rude we decided to get a takeaway from Nabjels. We've never eaten here before but certainly will do again.

Having been out of town (Stourport) visiting friends and feeling peckish I called in to Nabjel on my way home. As it was mid-week, late and inclement weather the restaurant was very quiet with just one couple finishing their meal. I ordered a chicken madras with fried rice,While I was waiting I used the facilities to wash my hands prior to eating, also I believe you can learn a lot about the standards of any establishment by visiting the toilet. No complaints here, both the toilet and washing facilities were good.I was asked if I wanted a drink which I declined due to driving and as I was now the only customer left the waiter and I engaged in conversation until my meal arrived a few minutes later.I could not find fault with the meal, it was tasty and well presented and the staff were polite and courteous. The cost was slightly above average but it was value for money in as much as the premises appeared clean, hygienic and my sometimes delicate stomach suffered no ill effects the following morning. Superb tasty food not drenched in oil. will make your dish exactly as you want it and always willing to make a dish not on the menu. Vegi' friendly included.

Service was friendly, however the vindaloo lacked both flavour and "bite", excuses ranged from: "not enough sun to ripen chillies", "we had ordered the wrong dish, should have ordered; traditional vindaloo", "local taste demanded blander dishes."

Ever so slightly more expensive than its competitors but the service is great and the food was very enjoyable. The staff have always been exceptionally friendly.

We have been visiting this restaurant often over last year, run by a great team, attention to detail and happy to prepare food off menu if required.Premises in need of some decoration overall but staff always eager to please and nothing too much trouble. Cannot recommend this place enough food is always excellent !

This is right in the centre of town with plenty of on street parking around. Staff were great, the food well cooked and well presented. Having a member of our party who was gluten free was not an issue for them.There were 6 in the group and we all enjoyed our meal.They do have a 10% discount on takeaways.

We have been to Nabiels many times and can be classed as regulars. The restaurant is a comfortable, well decorated environment suitable which can cater for intimate, family or parties.The menu is good value and far from pricey,with a wide range of dishes to choose from, with staff willing to advise you dishes and are always willing to 'tweak' the dishes to suit taste buds. However if you take along dinner guests who are not that keen on spice and would prefer an 'English alternative' there is little choice.Would happily recommend to all :)Overall highly recommend

Been here a few times with friends and with family and it never fails to impress. Good choice on the menua nd the food is always well cooked and presented and very tasty. Service is quick and attentive and drinks are reasonable for this type of venue but possibly could do with more draught indian lagers. Parking is on the street in front of the restaurant.

Have eaten here on several occasions. Food and service always excellent. Would certainly recommend. Only thing I don't like is the decor and atmosphere. However am happy to accept it because of the great food.

We have eaten here and had take aways many times. Food is always great, staff are always friendly so I wonder where some of the 'other reviewers' have eaten? Having eaten takewaway from here several times (Shatkora - spiced with lemon chunks!) and having dragged friends in for a late night post-drinks blowout, I have recently taken my family here for dinner.On both occasions we have eaten here the food has been excellent (empty plates all round and that rarely happens us four eating out!).The naans are fresh and light and tasty; the Jaipuri and Shatkora are delicious, the Korma creamy without being sickly and the Lamb Tikka Passanda is tender and tasty with a hint of fruitiness which marks it out from the normal milky slop dished out at less discerning restaurants. The service is excellent and the staff polite, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Currently the best curry house in Stourport.

Tried nabiels when they first opened and it was very poor. Almost 2 years later it is still poor. The food was warm and bland. Not good!

I love a curry and was bitterly disappointed with this place. It looked quite good but the food was nowhere near acceptable, the staff were okay. Expected alot more from this place as it looked so inviting, i guess looks can be deceiving. Will not be returning!

Although the staff were friendly the meal I chose was lacking in flavour and the price seemed expensive for what we had. I was surprised as the first meal I had at Nabiel's was much better, although still on the expensive side. Perhaps an off day for them but I've found other local take-aways and restaurants offering better value and flavour and would be unlikely to go back.

We visited this restaurant for the first time recently, as we are always keen to try out the new places in Stourport. Situated in York Street, it does not look very big from outside, but once you are in it's like the Tardis as it goes back a long way.The decor is smart and modern, and everything looks clean and well maintained. This was a Wednesday night and there was hardly anybody else in there but us. The menu is quite extensive with all the standard meals plus one or two interesting ones we had not seen before. When the food came it was hot and tasty, certainly up to our expectations. The waiters were friendly but not intrusive.This is a welcome addition to the choice of restaurants in Stourport and we shall certainly be returning.
