The Port House in Wyre Forest

This has got to be the best English Breakfast I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection, even the toast was decent bread, coffee and tea was amazing and service was quick. Could not fault a thing.

We visited today 25th Aug, expecting it to be busy due to the Bank Holiday weekend. It was nice relaxed atmosphere. We ordered a child’s bolognaise, requesting the bolognaise and spaghetti to be separated, unfortunately, it didn’t arrive as requested, however, a team member called Donna, was excellent, quickly speaking to our 3yr old son, and changing the food to nuggets and chips. Donna’s customer service was excellent, constantly checking back to make sure our son was happy with his food. Clearly Donna is an asset to The Porthouse and it’s important to highlight team members that excel, as it’s too easy just to complain about poor service nowadays !

Both had pies (Wife Ham & Leek, I had Steak & Ale). Both enjoyed. Service was also very good. Had a booth too which was nice. Classic pub food, no complaints. Not far off 5 stars

As far as breakfast goes it is the best in the area of Stouport, Kidderminster and Bewdley, the food is cooked exceptionally well and fresh, the staff are so attentive and caring big shout out to Rachel and her kitchen team and Donna who looked after me so well.

Stunning breakfast; incredible value, top quality produce, absolutely delicious! Small breakfast, impeccable presention and all for £3.99 including a lovely, frothy coffee, unbelievable value! Customer service was faultless also, really polite and welcoming, checking if my food was ok and thanking me when I said it was delicious, very impressed! A huge thank you to a wonderful chef and lad who was front of house, I was delighted with every aspect of my experience here, a great start to the day!

We eat out regularly but I would say that this is the worst place I have ever eaten in. The food has quite clearly been cooked in oil that has been used for a consideable time as it tasted old and stale. We treated our dog to a steak but the following day both my husband and my dog wer both very ill.

Went in on a Saturday and even though it’s been refurbished it still felt like a weatherspoons. But Quick service, polite staff and food is typical pub grub. Hunters chicken was nice.

A fantastic pub. Beautifully decorated since our last visit a couple of years ago. Decent cocktails and lovely food. A good selection. Friendly staff. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and will come back when in the area.
