Excellent food great service. We had carvery, started at12, beef have rare, mid, well done. Gammon and turkey, So that must be something for anyone. We brought our dog and they are welcome in certain areas, not the food serving part. Two of us £30 with drinks with the excellent quality that it’s a really good deal .

This is a lovely pub and place to eat. We've only been on a Sunday for the carvery. We first discovered it in October last year, forgot about it then remembered last week. As far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be a reason to book as on each of the occasions we went it was easy to get straight in from off the road. That's not to say that the food is rubbish, on the contrary it is excellent for this price point. It was busy on both occasions but due to a really large and warm extension (with floor to ceiling windows on the one side) there's plenty of room for everyone and his dog. Speaking of which nicely behaved dogs seem welcome as well as far as I could tell. So on entering the pub, you come into the bar and within a few moments someone will be there (we arrived at 2pm Sunday), if it's a drink fine, if it's food they'll show you to your table take your drinks order and when they bring the drinks to your table they give you a ticket for the carvery. You can stay and have your drink or go up immediately. The carvery was very good, there was ham, turkey, pork or 2 types of beef, medium rare or medium-well done. Vegetables were fresh, and seemed to be replaced regularly so they didn't spoil, there were heaps of roast vegetables, mash, cauliflower cheese, dauphinoise, gravy, mustard at the end. Mustard was very nice, will take the top of your head off. Loved that! There were very little in the way of queues we were served on both occasions in under 2 minutes. I read on a review that someone thought the chef was miserable. He's bald and wears glasses. I'm bald and wear glasses. We may look miserable but that's due to perception, Eventually all humankind will be bald and wear glasses due to the monkey being bred out of us and glasses well, everyone's got their heads in mobile phones these days, go figure :) We are just the vanguards! So to those that said the service was miserable I'd suggest you are in the wrong place, go to Monsieur Pierre's in London taking your porsche quattro porto tagliatelle with you and pay 90 eur for a quails egg and a bit of rocket with the chef's 'special sauce', all you want is the maitre d fawning over you telling you what exceptional taste you have while robbing you blind. You'll still want a bag of chips on your way home :D. Anyway, sorry I digress, service excellent, lovely surroundings walk to Arley before or after, close to the Severn and a great day out with a full belly! Our go to spot for us now.

Less than one star if option was available!! I asked for a vegan option lunch: none - so I suggested a simple jacket potato: none!! The rudest, least accommodating ‘chef’ I have ever encountered. Neither me, or my direct family, will ever eat here - awful lack of customer service. Many thanks to the waitress who confirmed that the rudeness I encountered was totally unacceptable. Awful place!!!!

One of our favourites, if not the very favourite, of ours for Sunday lunches. Never disappoints. Today, choice of well-done beef, rare beef, gammon, and turkey, for meats, plus every vegetable imaginable, plus lovely potatoes- especially the roasters and dauphinoise. Washed down by my favourite beer, Butty Bach. Then a really lovely strawberry cheesecake with cream. This pub is a real gem. Staff and owner are superb too, very friendly and attentive. Thanks so much, see you again soon.

Back in the 70s we use to visit this pub most nights of the week. We went there for 10 years plus. I was told it had shut down and if it was not for a visit to Arley Train station and the harbour I noticed the pub was now a restaurant and pub so stopped for a meal and drink. Drinks are good value, food is excellent and we definitely will be going back there again. The last time I put a foot inside the pub was 1981 we visited again in 2022. To me there are some changes but it was like coming home again after 41 years.

Have been coming here a long time for the Sunday carveries but won't be going again. Walked in with my dog, who always gets excited seeing people as he is so friendly. The old woman behind the bar (curly hair, glasses) looked at him in absolute disgust. I bit my tongue at first but felt so hurt and annoyed that I had to say something . She gave me a half heartedly, limp apology with a smirk . I've noticed on other times we have been that she is very stern looking and never a smile. The pub is supposed to be dog friendly but it felt far from that today. He is a very well behaved dog too which makes it even worse. The young waiter and waitress were lovely and put the horrible woman to shame. I noticed too today how empty it was and that was the busy time so I wonder how many more people she has upset. The chef is a nice man too. She shouldn't be in that kind of business where good customer service should be a priority.

Called in for Sunday lunch yesterday. They offer a carvery lunch. When we approached the bar there were 3 members of staff behind it. No one gave us any eye contact and we waited for a long time until they acknowledged us. I appreciate they were busy but did not appreciate the older woman behind the bar serving two locals who actually arrived a considerable amount of time after us before serving us! The carvery was well, ok ish...the yorkshire puddings were limp and the beef over cooked. The vegetables were inedible as they were cooked to death. I thought the price they were charging was not value for money. Sadly I think we will not be returning any time soon.

We visited Ye Old New Inn for the second time today and were disappointed that they were once again not serving food at lunchtime. We went a couple of months ago to find they were not serving food at lunchtime as they were finding it difficult to get a chef. They were only serving food in the evening. Their web site said they were serving lunch but this was incorrect. Yesterday we messaged them to ask if they were doing food at lunchtime today, and were reassured that the full lunch menu would be available. The web site also stated that lunch was served. We made a special trip to find that they were having problems getting a chef and there was no food available once again. We will not visit Ye Old New Inn again, but today we went to the nearby Harbour Inn and had a delicious meal. We will certainly return to The Harbour Inn.

Turned up as they were opening on a Saturday afternoon. The decor is little outdated and it can be quite dark in certain areas but I'm guessing that's the charm of the place. Friendly service from the 2 young ladies behind the bar. Has a pool table on site and a lovely large log burner for them cold winter days to keep you warm. Area set aside for a carvery on the Sunday. We are from the main menu and the prices were reasonable. No fish today so I chose the cheese and chutney cob. I felt the chutney ruined it so I left most of it. And I wasn't a fan of the oil on the salad. The accompanying chips and onion rings were great though. Me mates steak burger was delicious and he finished off his plate. It's in a great location a short downhill walk to the lovely village Arley and the Severn valley railway. Huge car park next to the pub and an outdoor seating area / part covered if you like dining / drinking outside.

I decided to pop in one day last week for food. I received a warm welcome from the girl behind the bar. I ordered a Guinness and asked about ordering some food. I was handed a menu, deciding on fish and chips. The member of staff directed me to the eating area and kindly brought my Guinness to my table. I waited about 12 minutes or so and my food arrived. It was piping hot and very enjoyable. Reasonable prices, tasty food and friendly service, what more do you need!
