Best chippy I've been to in AGES!!!!! Super friendly staff, swift service, and most importantly, amazing food 10/10

Terrible food, ordered fish and chips. Not fresh, slimey fish with sludge as batter. Avoid.

Reviews are fake if positive! This was a absolute disgrace, portions are small fish was off or something else wrong with it tasted vile! Bins being taken passed customers whiles eating even brushed bin bags on customers shirt (that close!) And then taken through the whole serving area and kitchen...SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!!! SHAMEFUL UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNHYGIENIC. Not good enough at all AVOID!!!!!!!

Very disappointing , chips were hard and served in cardboard containers, come on business owners a little effort over convenience? Chips are not a cheap meal and £20 for 2 meals is not to be sniffed at, kids are loud behind the counter, the non on the eating area says a lot!!

To start with, the chips were very poor quality, cold and very dry, the haddock wasn't the best either very dry, our order came to £20 but we couldn't eat hardly a thing. We didn't receive our full order. It was bad service. I was asked at least a dozen times if I wanted salt & vinegar. I was Not impressed and we will NOT be returning back. For a local chip shop very poor. I would rather visit Bewdley for fish & chips

Great food, no need to travel to the coast for tasty fish and chips when you can get it in Stourport.

The chips was very dry and looked like they in the shops for hours and the mini fish was dry to,will not be going back not good for the money 😕

This country throws away one third of food produced. The portions given at this chip shop were obscenely huge. We were given two massive portions of chips between two of us that was impossible to eat. Fortunately we took our uneaten chips home and fried them up the next day with vegetables and Spanish paprika. Yum. So much food was binned while we were sitting there that surely the managers must realise that they’re giving much larger portions than necessary. If they gave 20% less would people stop coming? They might therefore make more profit and help save the planet too!!

I’m not the type of person to moan but today i came here and had some chips with my family this afternoon. Great start the young lady was lovely who served us, and i noticed a hair or eyelash that was battered in my sisters chip. i went over the the older women and approached her kindly about it and she took the chip and had a call from her phone and completely ignored me. Now i know from experience as i work in hospitality that not many people will approach you the way i did today and i felt very disappointed from this service as it was ashame as it was my first time at this chippy and looked so good but i sadly won’t be returning from this type of service im sorry.

Lovely customer service and the food was tasty, will always visit this chip shop when I go to stourport.

The food is exactly what you would expect of a typical ‘Chippy’. The difference between this shop and most others is the staff. I find them friendly, approachable and helpful. They have always made sure that the food was right and that the portion size was more than adequate. There have been occasions when they have given away free pies and huge portions of chips. I recommend a visit if you’re in the area of Stourport-on-Severn..

As we entered I went to wash my hands. The floors were covered in food, paper, and forks. The tables were not much better. We ordered and the batter on the fish was stodgy and raw. The tables were filthy and if it wasn't for the weather I would have gone outside. I don't think it's owners are the Cypriots that were there before. We were so looking forward to our food but were let down. Won't be returning!

Had a chicken tikka kebab it was dry as hell I asked for mint yoghurt and had none really disappointed

Started using this chippy again after boycotting it after the food nose dived had chips kebab and chips and tinned roe what a mistake chips like rubber lunch time warm ups roe tasted stale will not return should of learnt my lesson I now understand why its always empty when I drive past every night

Went for meal on sunday had chicken and musheroom pie and chips chips loveley pie cold and dry no juice to it couldnt find chicken staff moody and slow

hiya, i ordered meself a chicken burger meal from here, and not to be frank, but it was the nicest burger i’ve tasted in years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! service was speedy and staff were polite and chatty, i sat meself down in the front cafe and they brought it me over with me can of 7-up, even asked if i wanted extra salt and vinegar brought over to me table. it was impeccable. had meself a little chat with the staff while i got me food in me, and i will be rushing back in a moments notice. 101% recommend as food was as fresh as ever, i even watched them cook it. THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU HAVE ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER 🥹❤️

A really lovely freshly cooked fish and chips with such generous portions of chips we brought half home to freeze. Fresh and clean seating area, the best in the large bay window overlooking the end of the basin.

Me and my family travelled to here as we were recommended this by a friend called tash. We decided on a whim to travel here and this may be the best fish and chips I have ever had. The staff were super super friendly and also ended up meeting one of the honestly who was a lovely lovely mother and even spoke with her son. Her son was a very kind person who also gave great recommendations. If you're ever in the area make sure to come here! Best food establishment in the town. 5/5

Avoid at all costs! Not worthy of 1star! Came to stourport with friends for the weekend, popped in here about 1230 pm on Saturday 22 July , the restaurant was completely empty. We sat down and the food was bought over to us within a couple of minutes. I only had chips my friends had saveloy and chips and steak pie and chips. Didn’t eat much of mine as they were disgusting, tasted days old. Come 1am in the morning severe sickness and diarrhoea for both my friends started which is still continuing now (mon 24th July) I myself having stomach pain.absolutely ruined the weekend had to leave early. Will be reporting to environmental health.

Me and my friends called into this lovely Fish and Chip shop twice on the weekend of 4th and 5th March as part of our 4 day holiday in Stourport, attending Fusion 5 rock festival at The Civic Hall. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the food was cooked beautifully; I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.

Nice fish and chips. Little bit expensive. . Lacking in deals . . .kids wanted fish and chips but unfortunately . . No children's fish and chips (mini fish or fish bites) on menu. . .Only fish cake. . . So had to get the kids a 'normal' mini fish and chips at £7 odd each . Saying that it was very nice.

What just happened? Had a fish n' chip meal from here a while ago which was excellent. Tonight? Lots of youngsters thinking they can rip off a random older customer. Ordered 2 large cod. One large chips. One large curry sauce and 2 large mushy peas. However, order tracking ain't their bag. One mushy peas and the curry sauce not supplied until verified at pick up. Then...get the goods home. The fish are not large as per the one on display. One is middling. The other a mini fish of the plankton variety. Was I born yesterday gov? Tip; Don't rip people off. Be decent and you get word of mouth recommendations. Unlike this here review. Innit?

Went in here for lunch ate in. Staff were great very friendly helpful. Food was excellent chips lovely freshly cooked. Husband had fish, chips and curry sauce which he said was lovely had a small fish and it was a good size for a small. Plenty big enough for him and he is a big eater! Couldn’t fault anything. I would highly recommend and I would definitely go there again if I wanted chips and I was in Stourport.

Ridiculously expensive. Nearly £43 for a family if 4 with drinks. Local chippy: £25 quid. Food was nice, fish was big but won’t be going there again. Was really shocked when she told me the total! Nearly £12 each for a chippy meal, despite the fact that fish and chips were only £7.20 on the board, they charged more that what was advertised!

Gave this place a second chance as they messed my order up last time and were very busy but alas, it was just the same. I think that the fact that its located in a prime spot makes them quite complacent about the service and quality of food 1. Waited 30mins for very average Chips! Staff were working very slow with no sense of urgency despite 13 people being in front of me. They were more interested in looking around at what is going on instead of just serving the customers as efficiently as possible but I suppose that poor customer service does not matter when you are in a prime location. 2. When I ordered I wanted a pot of mayonnaise but it was such a palava to get it, I said forget it as the children were just ready to go and our parking was soon to run out. Next time, I am going to just walk up the road to the other chips shop as Riverside are very complacent bot h in the service they offer and the quality of the chips etc. Disappointing to say the least,

There was too much curry sauce on the food so couldn’t taste anything but curry sauce. One of the employees needs to learn some things about hospitality and customer service skills. She literally didn’t listen to what we was saying and didn’t even smile and wasn’t even looking ready to serve after a long day at work and going to get some food I didn’t expect the service could be so poor and terrible like it was.

I went here with my family and all seemed alright til we sat down to get food. Tables were dirty, cutlery that was brought out was either bent or just not clean. And on top of that they brought out no napkins or anything if that sort for the food. After food came out they were leaning all over the food as serving and even got there hair in a dish. Food was alright but wouldn’t go again. And whilst eating they decided to bleach outside witch was a chemical concern having three members that all work in pubs or restaurants with us saying how bad it was and there should be a safety concern. Over all would not recommend highly overpriced and dirty then when they decided to clean it put us all off are meals with a strong bleach smell that strong we all had headaches.

Ordered a large fish with curry sauce. Got it home & fish was not cooked through. I've worked in restaurants previously. They said it was the coloring off the bone. I know what that looks like. But this fish was translucent. It didn't matter about the pink off the bone. This fish was raw. I'd eaten it & had to spit it out. I could taste it. In the end I gave them back what was left. Then walked out. No apology. Nothing.

not the cheapest fish & chips i've had but this is reflected in the portion size, the fish and chips was easily bigger than portions ive had before. we took ours 2 minutes down the road to the park and ate on the benches there. very pleased,

Perfect, both in the quality of the food and in service. The fish is by far the best quality available locally. Always well cooked and the place is seemingly well organised by polite staff when you are there.

£3 for cheese and chips. Cost to weight definitely doesn't match. No good for cost of return. Next door is cheaper. Even Pats Fish and Chips are cheaper for weight and better quality.

We called in whilst visiting Stourport on a canal boat holiday. The fish and chips were the best we have had for a long time. Portions are extremely generous as well.
