We were really pleased with the attention and helpfulness from the staff. They were obliging but not overbearing. The food was delicious, well presented and very tasty. We had the set meal for four. There was noting we could fault. Can highly recommend the restaurant.

Restaurant meal tonight was superb. We often drive from Kidderminster to Stourport on Severn just for their take away chinese. Great food and service.

Very disappointed with delivery today. Been using this place for several years but today was definitely not an acceptable standard. Chips were rock hard and cold, battered king prawns totally overcooked, hard and cold. Thought we would end up with broken teeth. Curry was not up to standard either, hardly any chicken, very watery and full of onion and peas instead. Very disappointed Golden Country, perhaps today you are using different staff to normal ?

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. On 3 occasions in the last couple of months, our online order has either turned up late or not at all due to ‘the online system not working’ and the restaurant staff not noticing this. Very poor service.

Haven’t used this takeaway before but will be using it again, I pre ordered at 4.45 and had my delivery by 5.10 all food red hot and lovely would recommend this place

Asked for singapore chow mein without shrimps because of my allergy. Instead they sent it with shrimps and without chicken. It hit the bin! Do they not understand what allergies are? Eat at your own risk!! I emailed them and tried to contact them but they did not bother to reply!!

Just finished my meal from here and I have to say it's the best I've had by far! I would very highly recommend!! Lots of food, beautifully cooked, speedy delivery, with very friendly and helpful staff!!

First and last time of having a takeaway from here. Chips tasted as though they was previous days and just reheated then kept warm, Chicken was slimy and was disgusting, food almost cold yet I live less than 10mins away. Definitely will not be going here again.

We had dim sum starter, house fried rice, salt and chili chips and duck in sweet sauce. It was delicious, ordering online was super easy, food came very fast and was nice and hot when it arrived. Highly recommended but was super lovely :)

Great food as always... Sometimes have to wait a while for it tho but obviously it's cooked fresh so worth the wait Maccau chicken with extra chillies is epic

Atmosphere not applicable as had a take out . Delivery over 30 minuets late to what was promised. Food tasteless missed off plum sauce to duck pancakes. Overall rubbish will not use again .

Went as a group of 11 people from work, table booked for 6.30 on a Friday, two other tables were occupied as it's close to Christmas obviously all decided to have an early Christmas night out, our drinks order was taken and the drinks were brought to the table one at a time, very slow way of doing things we thought, next our food order was taken and it started to be served to each of us, some had already finished by the time the last two people had been served their food, by this time their rice accompanying the main dish was already cold (not good at all) no real apology given and when the bill arrived £24 had been added on to the total as a discretionary service charge. We left at approx 8pm and two of us used the gents toilet before we went to the next pub, while in the toilet the lights went out, thinking they worked off a sensor I waved an arm to get lights back on to no avail, as we came out of the toilet the staff were surprised to see us as it were they who had turned lights off and it appeared they were starting to clear things away to shut up for the evening ( not best practice at 8pm on a Friday) will not rush back to dine again.

Take away, we were told 40 minutes on the telephone when ordering 1 hour 35 later we finally received our cold food!! Even after calling up to chase, when the delivery guy arrived I was disgusted that he claimed to have no change so for a £33 takeaway we ended up paying £40 for cold slop disgusting and you should be ashamed!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible dining experience- tiny portions but the food so bland that’s probably a blessing apart from how much it’s ripped you off - full of the cheapest of the ingredients ie spring rolls taste of cabbage- expensive but worse value for money - very bad service

We had a takeaway on 26th nov 2023, my mrs has beeen bad all next day, shes been on the loo five tines in an hour. We wont order from there again. One to avoid. The food was terrible with no taste

Good chinese takeaway. Fast, efficient service and good food. Many reviews suggest cash only, but they also take cards with no problem.

Went last night for a take away yes the food was fast but wow everything tasted cheap and nasty the chicken was just in sugar syrup (definitely not Thai style)and pineapple disgusting slop and the wings were deep fried tasteless dry. Singapore rice was a greasy tasteless mess and the the curry sauce was spicy pea thick soup anyway who says the food here is good needs there head testing.shame on the Thai and Chinese cuisine!!!!

Consistently the best Chinese food in the area by a mile. They deliver it faster than I could drive to get it and back.

Good Chinese restaurant. Very quiet on the night we visited. We shared tasty mixed starters as were not very hungry.

Worse food I ever tasted soggy chips . Swett sour chicken dru burnt hard as bullets , king prawn chow mein horrendous exactly 5 prawns in it . Will not be going there again . Makes me wonder how long they hold food , till selling as it was brought out very quickly Lady on counter miserable Also they were sat by freezer at counter eating their food .

Ordered a take away. Spring rolls were fine. Crispy shredded duck was decidedly uncrispy, flabby skinned and non shredded duck. Ribs were coated in a tasteless orange sticky sauce. Chow mein was bland. Will try elsewhere next time!

Not surprised it was dead in there - Probably the worst Chinese restaurant we’ve been to. Meat tasted “off”, beef was chewy, chicken tasted like it had been re cooked multiple times, all the food was lukewarm and drinks were flat. Even the water tasted like chlorine. Told the waitress that one of our meals were wrong but was told it wasn’t. Couldn’t be bothered to argue, left 70% of our meal and complained at the end but it just resulted in a shrug from them. Don’t bother - go ANYWHERE else.

Been visiting here for over 8 years and can not fault the food or service here. The young chow fried rice melts in your mouth. Delivery tastes just as good as the eat in food. 100% recommended

The vegetarian starters and banana fritters are cooked in the same oil as the meat. They tidy up the second you finish. Literally make you lift up your drink so they can change the table cloth the very moment you finish your food. Constantly standing over the table and watching you to see if your finished. I don’t know what the rush is, the place is empty. Ideal if your in a rush. Can have a starter, main and pay in about 10 minutes. Now charge a 10% service charge if you eat in. What’s that all about?

Had a delicious meal here tonight. Salt & Pepper Spare Ribs were amazing. Old Speckled Hen was cool. Peking duck - first class. Beef with green pepper in Blackbean Sauce and Fried Rice delicious. King Prawn chow main was very tasty too. Service friendly. Will certainly call next time we visit.

Absolute joke called numerous times once I got through calls were not answered never going again!! At least when you get through answer the dam phone

Have been ordering from here for a few years. And have generally been quite happy. But i was disappointed with my experience last night. Had to stand outside for 20 mins in the cold waiting for my delivery as the driver had been given the wrong street. When it finally did arrive, the chips were soggy and the chow mein was lukewarm. When I called about this, I was told I had given them the wrong address when they confirmed the street with me, when they did agree to send me a recooked one, they asked me to give the first meal back to the driver. As I if I was lying about it all. After several years of ordering from them and having to experience that made me feel like I do not wish to use them again.

Food exceptional and staff really helpful. Can modify your food as required, like less oil or add chicken whatever

Be prepared to wait between courses if you want set menus, especially at the weekend. No discount on bill for inconvenience.

We had another fabulous takeaway again this evening. The crispy duck in plum sauce and sweet& sour king prawn with separate sauce was wonderful. I have never had a bad meal.

Went here on Saturday night not impressed at all after receiving the wrong food then to say that is not yours?? When it came it was under cooked we had to send 3 dishes back 1 star!

Not visited since before lockdown so was unsure what would be like. I need not have worried. Food was nothing less than excellent, served promptly and plenty of it. Staff were attentive and friendly.

This restaurant was recommend by a friend and my god I wish she had never told me about it. The food was very tasty and would of definitely gone back until I Hurd the way the owner spoke to her staff. The owner discriminated against what I can only assume are travellers by getting them to pay before their meal where as everyone else pays afterwards. Also the owner doesn’t take these transactions herself, she gets her Guinea pigs to do it for her. I’m honestly so surprised she has any staff at all after the way I Hurd her speaking to them, I know for sure that I will spread the word that she’s a wrongun and to avoid the place like the plague… really disappointed 😔

First and last visit. Female staff did not smile once and were not friendly at all. Spring rolls were fresh but main meal was extremely salty and chicken was not fresh. Definitely overpriced. The tables are too close together to have a romantic meal.

Came in last night with my other half for some food , the staff was friendly enough and gave us some prawn cracker appertizers when we first came In , the food came out very quickly and was absolutely beautiful will definitely be coming here more often

Worst Chinese takeaway meal my wife and I have ever had. I didn’t bode well when the owner is running round shouting at the kitchen and counter staff. While we were waiting one chap brought his meal back saying he didn’t know what it was but it wasn’t what he ordered. We went for something simple, my wife had chicken fried rice and I had special fried rice and we had a portion of sweet and sour chicken balls. When we got home and plated our meals they were both dripping with oil and tasted dreadful. The chicken balls were ok but the sweet and sour sauce tasted very strange. We have previously eaten in the restaurant here and it was superb food. I definitely won’t use this takeaway again it really was disgusting.

Food ok. Service ok — we spent £120 for 4 on an average Chinese meal. For starters We had half a crispy duck and yuk sung for 4 people. They brought a tiny ramekin of hoisin sauce — we asked for some more — the waitress said it was £1-50 Extra— I thought she was joking — WRONG— they put it on the bill !!! Doesn’t really encourage u to return Disappointing

Visited the restaurant with a group of 6 friends on a Thursday night. The staff were great and the food fantastic. We chose from the four course set price menu and there was heaps of excellent food

Previous meal was fantastic what has gone wrong, has the chef left? The food was that of the day before. Rice overcooked, noodles dry and hard, very dry crispy duck and the prawns were terrible. Never again!

really good Chinese very tasty food wish it had it's own website where i could order from online im high risk and am not comfortable going out wish the Chinese was contactless free, where i can choose via a menu online and pay by card like other takeaways for people such as myself would also be good on Just eat.

I spent a while trying to find a Chinese takeaway after moving to the surrounding area and came across this place! Food is delicious, decent price. Been a couple of times now and never been disappointed! Highly recommend.

The staff are friendly and serve you quickly even when busy. The food is superb. I've tried quite a few different things on the menu and cannot find fault with anything. I won't go anywhere else for my takeaway

We use this restaurant a lot, the food is always hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff are always courteous & friendly and take care of you really well. No long waits between courses or when it is time for the bill.

Lived in Bewdley for 30 years now, i always go to this takeaway when i feel the need, tried the rest but no comparison to Golden Country.

Lovely food, reasonably priced and lovely service but would appreciate a delivery service but they offer a very good choice of meals, usually easy parking.

Love this chinese food and staff are great.

This is always good food.. Restaurant is pricey but not a bad meal. Take out is top quality also
