Mei Sum Chinese Takeaway in Wyre Forest

Taken hour and half to deliver just 4 mile ordered a pineapple fritter they came round like a ball very nice until I bit into one and it had chicken in it instead of pineapple put me off eating the rest. But the curry was ok

Lovely Chinese .. had a lovely meal from here and the best one in bewdley .. the new English lady on the front desk Anne is lovely and very efficient and has a great sense of humour Will definitely be back

My second order here, very impressed with everything we ordered. Delicious food and lovely staff. I recommend the curry sauce (which complimented the crackers), the seaweed, the king prawn rice, sweet & sour chicken and the vegetable spring rolls. Also great portion sizes and great value for money! :)

I've always used mei sum never had a problem,ordered special curry with no onion which they got right ,nowt special about it,what happened to the different meats,I had 4 bits of meat and 2 prawns very dissatisfied 🥺

Heard that this takeaway had improved immensely recently , Ordered on a Wednesday evening, picked up the takeaway, very pleasant lady at front of house. I had Beef in Black bean sauce, Rice and a portion of spare ribs Food was lovely, piping hot and generous portions. Couldnt fault them from collection to eating the food I will be bak again

First time I have tried, excellent service, food ok , but could do with more seasoning IMO, but hot and enjoyable will use again. Footnote; could do with an on line menu. :)

I am not the biggest fan of Chinese food in general, too many additives, so I always stick to half a crispy duck with pancakes, cucumber and spring onion and theirs is delicious and good value for money. If you like Chinese food, it's a good place to go to, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely lady on the phone sounds so precious double checks your order with you before ending the call comes pretty fast and is up to my standard love it👍

Best Chinese takeaway about. Sadly many poor reviews solely based on delivery issues during lockdown when everyone was sitting at home ordering takeaways. They probably should have stopped taking orders when full! Food great, always happy staff and normally good delivery

Waited nearly 3 hours for food to be delivered tonight. No explanation. Was so hungry, the food didn't taste great. Very poor service and clearly don't value their customers.

This place was great before taken over . The lady gets order wrong( happened a handful of times now which costs us more money no apology when you ring up very defensive and won’t admit when order wrong . Makes out it’s ur fault when clearly said 3 times what I wanted , then hangs up on you . Wow great customer service ! Not ! Lost a weekly customer now

Only part of order arrived contacted them several times said would send rest out in few minutes still waiting nearly 2 hours later the place is a joke never again

After waiting 3 hours for half an order as they messed up they tell me to wait another 20 mins for them to cook it as they forgot i demand a refund and they say cant do that so go in and complain absolutely fuming disgraceful place never again

After being told under an hour to wait for a delivery... nearly 3 hours later.... still no delivery... wont be using this place again.

Ordered a delivery, told less than an hour to wait. 3 hours later still no sign of food. After reading other reviews on their website it seems it happens all the time. Phoned & cancelled. Wont be using Mei Sum again.

Ordered delivery over 3 hours ago, after numerous phone calls telling me it was on it's way, spoke to two different people and meal never arrived, very poor service,.Will never use again.

Great tasting food and friendly staff

We ordered at 6.30 pm for a delivery for 7.30pm value of £30.00 they said it would be 7.45pm latest. When I telephoned just gone 8pm I heard the lady ask chef if it would be 15 minutes, he said no it will be a further hour??? She said I’ll tell them half an hour, I questioned her on this and she said let me check and he said tell them it will be an hour and half now. Safe to say we cancelled and collected from our favoured Chinese.

Love the food here, reasonably priced and not at all greasy as with some takeaways.

For: Food was good, fresh and hot Against: 1) Quite expensive 2) I went into the takeaway in person and whilst I was giving my order to the young lady, she left me mid order to take a phone order then came back to me. Whilst finishing off my order, the phone rang again and she left me again to answer the phone. I'm pretty sure at least one of those orders was cooked before mine too. Not at all impressed

Ordered quarter duck pancakes which I usually enjoy from here but since the new ownership quality of food seems to have gone down hill. Duck was extremely dry and when I calmly returned it asking for a replacement I was greeted by a very aggressive man who was insistent that the duck was crispy not dry when I had the duck right in front of us. Finally got a replacement which wasn't much better. Overall, rude staff and poor food. 0 out of 10.

Oh,Delivery sometimes very fast ,but sometimes take little bit longer.never mind,the food tastes is really amazing!!! Best take away in the area.

Waited 2 hours for a delivery, food cold on eventual arrival, meat burnt, even found a sharp piece of plastic in the rice, no recommended at all.
