It's so hard to find somewhere nice to drink in Ironbridge. We gave the Elephant Crossing a third try despite being so disappointed on previous visits. A simple order of red wine and a pint should be straightforward enough - not so. We were overcharged for the wine, which isn't a problem on itself but the way the error was handled was very poor. The member of staff who served us couldn't rectify the problem and the colleague who came to help was just shy of rude. It felt as though we were at fault for pointing out the error! On top of this, the wine we received tasted old and stale - you can guess why we didn't mention it! I long for the days when this was a place that served great food, good drinks and had a team that cared. They're long gone I'm afraid.

it was our first time altogether visiting telford for a day out and we came across this cafe. it was gorgeous inside and out and perfect spot for our lunch. incredibly welcoming from the get go. we were greeted upon arrival and given instructions for how to order. chicken and brie panini, cheese and beans jacket potato, and pulled pork nachos? we could have eaten 14 of them. the chai lattes? could have drunk a gallon of them. the pistachio cake and pistachio chocolate tart? just pass us the whole cake please. and the staff? now i love a natter, especially around deciding what dessert to get and my god did they deliver. might have been one of the chefs or the boss themselves (cant quite remember) but the rundown on the cakes he gave us was so appreciated and was a great laugh, likewise with the waitress we had on the day. 10/10 would go again.

The Elephant Crossing consistently provides a fantastic experience: the food is excellent and the value for money is astonishing. I would especially recommend the nachos, which somehow taste even more authentic than nachos from Mexico itself! The tacos are exquisite, and I implore new visitors to try the Mexican pakoras. It is great for both lunch and dinner, and I look forward to trying brunch there, too. The cocktails available here are fantastic. I highly recommend the 'Bee Sting': a spicy yet refreshing margarita that compliments the food perfectly. It's made with homemade habanero syrup and honey, and is very moreish! The service has always been impeccable; the staff are so helpful and pleasant, and clearly work hard to contribute to this gem on the edge of the River Severn being a wonderful restaurant.

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever tried. Fish was dry and either left standing for hours or overcooked. Chips had been refried several times. On the plus side, the mushy peas were nice and the pepsi max was cold! The managers reaction to any negative comment is hilarious. Read the other reviews for entertainment!! I did not eat the food, the photo is of the food I left -virtually the whole portion. Hey ho. I am an honest reviewer, if they can’t take criticism they should cook nicer food 🤣

We try a few places for Sunday breakfast and this is probably the nicest we've had. A good portion, big hash browns and lovely streaky smoked bacon. Well cooked and a lovely place to sit. Only reason I dropped a star on service was that the young girls need to be a bit more communicative towards the customers. Definately return

Saw they were doing Cream Teas so popped in for a cuppa and scone before going a walk about the town. Lovely fresh scones, with real clotted cream and jam (only had to ask if you needed a bit more) and lovely views of the famous bridge & decor (& must visit the look to see the pictures in there!) Will definitely come again
