Set in a beautiful location of ironbridge. Lovely to sit by the river & enjoy a cold bevvy on a rare sunny afternoon. Friendly staff, nice & quiet.

Brilliant overnight stay, awesome food.. great walks along the river. Perfect stopover..

Had a lovely lunch very tasty chicken curry plenty of it. Service very friendly but also efficient. Lovely spot overlooking the river, plenty of seating both indoors and out.

Stayed here with our camper for one night. As described, we paid 15 pounds at the bar and received a voucher. We then decided to use the voucher for dinner in the evening, which wasn't a mistake....😃 Everything was wonderful, young staff, very friendly and helpful! If there was anything to complain about at all; Wedges are urgently needed as the parking lot is very sloping!!!

Good value food, plenty of parking. Vegan options are available. Fantastic setting right by the river with lots of seating outside. You can't order food at the bar, they give you a menu and then come to your table to take the order after 15-20 minutes, which seemed a bit excessive. The food did come out quickly though, and it was good value. Staff were mixed. One just wondered off while there people at the bar without acknowledgement or announcement. The one that came after a couple of minutes was very good. Didn't seem to be any management around. On the whole, a good experience and we will go back.

Beautiful bnb. Food excellent. Staff are always there to help. Location is fantastic. What a great place. A must visit if you are planning a trip to Ironbridge.

Only had a drink as there was a 45 minute wait before you could order any food. Lovely location and the beer is kept well.

Stayed overnight in a campervan, beautiful location, nice beers and food with friendly staff. Thanks to the owners for allowing g us to stay over. We'll be back 😊

Great location for something to eat and drink after or before a walk around the area. The food was lovely & portions were spot on. We shared a few light bites which was more than enough for lunch.

Went for daughters baby shower, what a good choice of place to go. The staff were brilliant and food delicious. 17 of us in all and not one complaint about any dish ordered. Served fresh and chips were the best I've had anywhere, then the cheesecake topped it all. Absolutely spot on, well done to all staff. Will definitely be going back.

I have not rated rooms based on not staying here but I booked my sisters baby shower and so glad I did. Atmosphere, location and food all beautiful as well as all staff friendly and prompt. It has been a while since I dined here for a meal but will be back soon as a few other options I would like to try on the menu. Thank you to all at The Half Moon for this afternoon.

A lovely location beside the river severn being child friendly when the river is low. lot's of Riverside benches to soak in the atmosphere. However if your looking for high quality food unfortunately this isn't the place for you the menu is poor the quality of the food is basic having to make do with food we don't normally eat at the very best they have on the menu the lamb was tough as old boots. Beers /etc are good go to the chippy on the way home.

I had found this place very unclean and the members of staff rube! .I went to the bar and had eye contact with the barmaid.She looked at me then continued a conversation with anyone member of staff that was just sat on the side of the bar doing nothing , knowing that I'm waiting to be served. I looked over at the male bar tender and had asked if he had a he had a drinks menu and he was also rube .He rudely said "NO" , it's on the board behind me(Like it was an issue).So I purchased my drinks without saying anything and sat outside.I had noticed that everyone was being served outside by staff however my table with my three kids was left out!. I can't understand why this was but besides being the only coloured people there. Also this isn't a family friendly place to go to due to having foul mouth people that go there including staff. Just don't bother wasting your time and money!!!!!

Went on the late Friday afternoon, tables haven't been cleaned or awhile. Lovely place to have a drink and soak the sun.

Had a lovely meal. Service was good and pub was busy. The weather was raining so didn't get to sit outside. Pub is lovely inside and staff were very attentive. Will definitely go back on a hot dry day.

Lovely setting by the river bank and food was lovely though tiny portions. The service however was not good having to wait far too long for service for dessert.

We spent a lovely couple of days here and would highly recommend it. Sat in lovely surroundings at the edge of the river servern . Very pleasantly suprised at the huge carpark and lots of riverside tables,usually you only get a few tables outside but here there was always free tables even at the most busiest of times. The food was lovely and the staff deserve a medal as they were working non stop. We definitely visit again .

Visited 25 Jun 24 1300ish. Ordered drinks at the bar and asked about food. Told to take a menu and table number and wait 15-20mins. Gave up waiting after 50mins without any approach from waiter. Too many rules about not taking food orders at the bar, or drinks orders from waiters etc. We won't be troubling them again.

Had a wonderful meal here after spending 4 days paddling down the river Severn. Friendly fun staff and a Beautiful location.

Took a detour here for a nice relaxing family meal after a long day out before heading home. After having a drink from the bar we were given a table number plaque to which we sat on our table outside by the river, as the signs stated we were required to await for table service if seated outdoors to which we then did. We continued to wait for over 20 minutes before having to look around to call someone over to ask about ordering food (to which the waitress rolled her eyes at us for the inconvenience of calling her over which was noted by all of us) We were then informed there was 2 others ahead of us waiting to order. In total it took approx 40 minutes before she came to take our order but by then we had finished our drinks and had made the decision to go home (approx 40 mins away) Yes this was a summer's eve approx 5.45pm on arrival however there were plenty of empty tables outside where we were seated with others just leaving or already haven eaten and then socialising with a drink. There was absoulety no need for us to have had such a delayed table service especially as 3 other staff were walking around glass collecting - very disappointed in having gone out of our way to come over for what should have been an enjoyable family meal.

We went as a family of 8 for a meal for my brothers birthday. It was a beautiful day, so was very happy when they seated us next to the open windows. These windows open all the way so it's like you're sitting outside. Although it was very busy with it being such a beautiful day, the staff were polite and friendly. They took our drinks order and they arrived soon after. Food order was taken and it was a bit of a wait, which was to be expected as cooked fresh but arrived about 40-50mins after. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Great variety of options. Lasagne, Cod Loin, Chili, Pizza, Gammon, Curry. All delicious. They have some local ales on draft also If you like your real ales. Over all a very happy experience and will definitely be going back. Considering how busy it was, the staff were amazing.

Takes a long time to get food ordered

Situated right on the river Severn great spot when the weather's good however the service for drinks when busy is really slow and for food an hour plus so decided to eat somewhere else.

The place is in levely location which looks amazing on sunny days, when everything is green. The food is acceptable, nothing sophisticated, staff are doing a good job. For a lovley day close to the nature, along with your pet, it's a good option, I recommend it!

2nd time here recently, the food is appalling, the service is worse, I rarely write reviews, but you need to hire someone who knows what they are doing to run this beautiful pub.

First of all I’d like to thank our server Alfie (hope that’s how it’s spelt), so polite and even though it was very busy he took the time to make sure everything was okay with our food, this was the first date night I took my girlfriend out too and it couldn’t of been any better so thankyou all at the half moon 👌🏻

Lovely pub with a great view of the river.

Went for lunch - ordered baked potatoes. Meal came on chipped plates, luke warm (potato tasted like it had been pre-cooked and then re heated). Salad was stale/over ripe tomatoes. Cheese had no taste and beans were awful too. Waitress didn’t seem to care - when I moaned about the plates having chips on them - she replied ok. Still expected full payment and no apology for the poor meal. Used to use the place regularly but it has really gone downhill and won’t be going there again.

Waited 2 hours for deep fried food. Some staff were quite rude but ginger waitress was nice. Mojito was just rum and lemonade no mint. Cajun chips came in a pit of seasoning with very little garlic mayo. Pepperoni pizza came covered in mayo ? Onion rings were Iceland quality but truffle chips were nice. Halloumi was burnt too. Nice beer garden but wouldn’t recommend for anything more than pints.

Was lovely to sit outside in the sun. Had a light lunch which was nice, the menu has changed since our last visit and didn't really like anything on the main menu

Good choice of courses on the menu. Excellent and polite service, staff always attentive. Large car park and easy access. Lovely views over the river.

Often used to stop off for a pint, and sit by the river. But on two separate occasions my pint was served in a filthy glass, with dried on dirt which I could scrape off with a finger nail. Think I will give the place a miss from now on.

Small room but all you need is there. Carpet wasn't vacuumed but it was rectified during my stay. Friendly staff and lovely location .

We were a family of 6 looking for a nice treat on a Sunday lunch, myself and my sister in law opted for the bacon cheese burger and I have to say I wished I had gone to Burger King, my husband had steak and for £25 I have to say it was a disgrace there was more fat than meat and I have seen someone chew chewing gum with more ease, my brother in law had gammon and he said it was basic pub grub! We had about 10 cheap frozen chips each that I had to plaster in mayo as they were so dry! The children had sausage and chips and chicken gougons and the sausage was the cheapest of cheap and dripping in grease and the chicken burned and hard. Won’t be visiting again as the food was not cheap and was obviously bought in very cheap.

Great food in the pub, perfect for a sunny day, but the interior it's also nice and the food tasty.

we arrive here on Wednesday evening having booked a table & were promptly seated on a window table, "this is nice" we thought. Ordered some drinks from the bar as the waitress seamed pre-occupied with polishing the cutlery, rather than taking an order. After about 30mins we were finally asked "are you ready to order food", we were. My main course (burger) arrived & I asked for some cutlery & Tomato sauce, however, it took 10mins for my wife's main course (loaded skins) to arrive, by which time my burger was barely warm & I was still waiting cutlery & Tomato sauce. The chips with my burger were still hard in the middle they were so under cooked, the burger however was dry & overcooked. The cutlery eventually arrived, then a further 5min wait for Tartar sauce. "I asked for Tomato, this is Tartar, it's burger & chips, why would I want Tartar". We finished our main courses & after a further 30-35mins out plates were taken & we were asked if we would like desserts, we did. Yet another long wait (25mins this time) for our dessert order to be taken, thankfully the wait for it to arrive was OK this time. We finished our desserts & sat there like Lemons again, trying to get somebodies attention to pay the bill, the waiting staff were all "busy" on there phones at the bar (Facebook & Whats app), gossiping & bitching about another staff member who obviously was not on shift that evening, really unprofessional.

I stayed overnight because I was meeting an old friend and we had beers and a meal in the bar. Excellent service, great food, great beers, easy free parking, a wonderful view (including from my bathroom, see pic) and a gorgeous room above the pub. The room was well equipped with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits and bottled water in a mini fridge. I thoroughly recommend as a base for exploring the area. Beware the inn does NOT serve breakfast but there are plenty of places in town. The room doesn't have AC but it does have a very powerful fan which worked well.

Food quality, price and amount is worthy of 5 stars alone. Staff are friendly and helpful,, view of the Severn whilst eating gives a relaxed feeling. overall very nice place to visit.

Food took over 40 minutes to come out, the lasagna was burnt so bad that you couldn’t cut through it. Burger was okay but the patties were too small for the bread. Had the wrong food brought to us before we got our own so not sure if they got mixed up or forgot. When we walked in we weren’t greeted by any staff and there was no signs to say to wait for someone to take you to a table so was a bit confused until a staff member came over after about 5 minutes. I wouldn’t go back but it was nice to try it and the pub itself is very nice especially on a sunny day. Quite overpriced also!

Had a great afternoon service was excellent staff are very kind and attentive they carnt do enough for you . Food is excellent never had a bad meal. Come to think of it never had a bad pint .A busy bar but didn't have to wait long.Well worth a visit, it does get busy on weekend's but we just chilled and enjoyed the environment very dog friendly just wished he'd stop barking at the staff

We popped in for our evening meal which was amazing.

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon. Nice and busy but more than helpful to offer a table inside though we decided to sit in the sun. Hostess was lovely and more than helpful. Good selection of draught pints. I had the beef bacon cheeseburger and chips, spot on! And my partner had the prawns and spicy chips. Perfect for an afternoon bite to eat. Will be returning when the weather gets warmer. One of Telfords go to spots when the sun is out.

Just had a night in the motorhome..... quick pint and dinner and totally loved it.... you won't be disappointed.....ten out of ten

Food great, service poor. Booked in early and mains came quite slowly but was of good quality but that is where it went downhill. Waited 30 minutes for dessert and offered no more drinks whilst we waited, many other people complaining around us as well. Was told kitchen was backed up but 30 minutes for dessert is a bit poor when it is only two cheesecakes… would definitely think twice about coming if I was in a rush after being sat here 2 hours and waiting…

Great stop off hear lovely setting great food. Room lovely clean contemporary. Pillows and bed were not good I'm afraid. But for only 1 night we could put up with it.

Party of 7, great choice of meals, which were exceptional and all reasonably priced, service and location excellent. Will definitely be returning.

Table was booked for 6:30pm for food and drink the first starter came out 1 HR 30 mins after we sat down. Puddings they didn't have enough for what we had order a week prior. Food was delicious, service was good, atmosphere was excellent

Beautiful location on the river Severn. Service top notch, served straight away and the Sunday roasts where lush! Best my husband and I have had in a long time! The buttered cabbage was to die for! A must if you want peaceful, country setting with fantastic history to boot as well! We will be back! Mr & Mrs Cox

Good service but unfortunately very average food. The fish was bland and very hard, the very dark brown chips that came with it were pretty poor too. Sent the fish back and got a fresh portion of hard bland fish. Bacon cheeseburgers were ok. Staff were friendly and efficient but unfortunately I won't be eating here again

Went for a meal and a drink ..really enjoyed it ..the views are lovely right on the river very relaxing and very busy..the guy who served our meal was very pleasant ..Will return 🙂 .
