The best restaurants in Knowle Solihull West Midlands

Excellent food - the Tandoori trout was probably the best trout I’ve had in my life. Excellent service, they went out of their way to serve an Indian dessert, that was not on the menu. Nice atmosphere.

Not sure what's going on with this restaurant.... In the past it has generally always been very good but afraid we will not be using or recommending it to anyone in the future. Like some other reviews, we made a reservation well in advance for two people for a Saturday night. Turned up at the time booked only to find the place closed. No sign up to say why they may be closed and unable to get any reply from them when you tried to phone, not even a recorded message. They had my mobile but did not even have the courtesy to phone to say they would not be open. We were not the only people on that night to be somewhat surprised. As we arrived, a party of four also arrived to be greeted with the same frustration... Even if they were to change the way they ran their restaurant, they don't deserve the business if they treat their customers in this way. No guarantee of a booking or them even being open would be my worry! There are plenty more good eating places in Knowle - avoid this one and try one of the others.

Yeah very tasty however I have had upset Stomach since I Had it on Friday? Maybe it’s a one off however it has put me off.

Nice place for good food and drinks, sit in or take away. Deli items and patisseries are great. Great staff. It does get busy so expect waits at popular times. Public car parks are a short walk away. Other shops nearby.

Best chinese takeaway in Knowle. Freshly cooked and always tastes great.

Went there today 1/12/24 for baby shower. Love the place atmosphere really good. Pizzas amazing best I’ve ever tasted. Staff really friendly & helpful. Will definitely be going back.

We dine here at least once a month even though we live an hour away & can not fault anything. Totally shocked arrived on Wednesday to a sign saying Permanently Closed and gentleman changing locks. At the time nothing on web site saying they were closed.

Rude staff we ordered a round of drinks which were very expensive while the bar was empty. We then had to go and pick the drinks up even from the bar ever though there were no other customers. Rude and arrogant staff. Will not come back here. Poor mojitos with no sugar syrup. When asked for sugar syrup they added alcohol instead.

Food was the worst I had... if these reviews are real then these people need to get out of knowledge and try something else. Please don’t waste your time and bar earned money in such a place like this. Food was so poor and service was a big fat zero too.

Servicio fabuloso, comida sabrosa y precio decente. Fue como un grupo familiar poppadoms. Un par de entrantes 3 mains arroz y panes £ 25 cada uno, además de llevar a casa bolsas y cajas. Algunos nuevos elementos del menú y cuando dicen caliente es caliente!

What’s happened to the quality of the food at Knowle Chip Shop? The standard has definitely dropped of late. I’m aware that paying just short of £10 for mini fish & chips is about right but I’d at least expect to see equal amounts of fish to the batter ratio. Greasy, clumpy batter, lunchtime chips served this evening and dry mushy peas…quite possibly the worst fish and chips we’ve ever had! Wont be going back anytime soon.

La primera vez en este indio fue a medio camino entre donde vivimos y los amigos viven .. la comida era muy buena y caliente, el personal era atento y amable. Sin duda lo recomendaría! Volveremos.

El personal era encantador, el restaurante era agradable, pero la comida no era genial. Teníamos entrante mixto, tostadas de gambas, alitas de pollo, rollo de primavera, algas y por alguna razón Samosa india que parecía extraño en la cocina china. Pato crujiente 2o plato, no crujiente y frío sobre precio y no comestible. Nuestro plato fuerte, salsa de frijoles negros de pollo, hormigas en un árbol, arroz Singapur. El pollo era agradable y una gran porción. No estoy muy seguro de qué se trata Hormigas en un árbol básicamente parecía sopa turbia con carne picada en la parte superior, con unos pocos fideos debajo. El cargo por servicio se agrega sin ser preguntado o señalado. No comimos las hormigas en un árbol o el arroz tenía un sabor extraño. No es una gran noche y factura a más de £ 100 para dos hizo que fuera una noche memorable, pero por las razones equivocadas. Personalmente no recomendaría y definitivamente no volvería a visitar
