The Jade Wok in Solihull

We hadn’t visited this Chinese restaurant in the centre of Solihull for sometime. We had two different duck dishes and one portion of rice between us, which was more than enough. The quality of the duck in one dish was better than the other, but there was enough to eat between us and we enjoyed the visit. The staff were very pleasant.

Had not eaten at the jade wok for some time definitely not disappointed- decor was very good - food choice excellent- food was very tasty along with great service from the two ladies

Clean calm great food and service. Keep coming back when in Solihull. Great choice of food at reasonable prices, I personally found this much better then the trendy ones near by.

This restaurant only has a buffet on Sundays despite reviews on website stating otherwise! The reviews indicate that the foods is very good

We had a takeaway from Jade Wok. Took 45 minutes to be delivered. Food was cold. The chicken in the chow menu was disgusting. Waste of money for a meal to be thrown in the bin!

AVOID this place their customer service is of poor quality and they are not very nice. Rude when talking to you and hang the phone up. Ordered a meal for wedding anniversary and it never turned up waited over an hour for delivery which was 2-5minutes down the road they said it was delivered but it wasn’t totally ruined the occasion. They said they called reception that was a lie as spoke to reception and no one from Jade Wok called reception They lied on the phone time and time again I would never order from them as you don’t know what they could do to your food BEAWARE if you want terrible customer service then this is the place to go

We went for dinner Saturday evening, first of all we were welcomed with the professionalism you get from a 5 star restaurant.Shown to our table which has crisp clean table linen.The menu was extensive and catered for every taste, All the staff were pleasant and professional and happy to be serving us.After ordering our food came served hot and plentiful and pleasing to our taste buds.The ambience was pleasing and spotlessly clean Flowers’s on every table. Can’t wait to go back, deserves 5 star +++

Have been to the restaurant on a number of occasions and always had great food and service Visited last night a table of four with my partner and son and his girlfriend. Service was again impeccable, the lady and gentleman who manage the restaurant are incredibly nice , always happy and smiling, They do everything possible to ensure customers have a great evening. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Everything about this restaurant was perfect starting from the look, the ambience, cleanliness, food and friendly staff. We were visiting the area and so glad we made the right choice of restaurant. Jenny who seemed like the proprietor took time to chat with us and even gave me some jasmine tea to take away. Such a wonderful experience & wonderful people. Would recommend it 100%.

Food was ok I gave it a 7/10. staff friendly. I had my bill which said one figure only to be charged £3 more without explanation before hand. I emailed the restaurant about this but they couldn't be bothered to reply. Recommend you check your bill and what they charge on your card.

We ordered a Chinese chow mein and king prawn noodles. They have been delivered absolutely burnt and are not even the normal noodles. I called the restaurant. The man said he doesn’t understand me. And then when he understood how annoyed I was he said that he is too busy and put the phone down! What a waste of money. Save yourself some money and don’t bother.

Nice restaurant go there whenever exhibiting at the NEC. Have been going now for 4 years missing out Covid times. The food is great but the prices have gone up dramatically and this restaurant which has been packed on previous visits was nearly empty. Says it all, people vote with their feet. Very disappointed in their typical Chinese thinking to make a quick buck, we had the most expensive set meal at £37 per head and one person asked for extra prawn cracker, which are free wherever I visit , they charged an extra £7.60! Sorry but you have blown it for us and the future, we won't be back to your restaurant your charge of £7.60 will have cost you a lot whoever the boss is, silly man!

As soon as we walked in the staff were really friendly. This continued all throughout the meal, and the food was also amazing. Would recommend the salt and pepper chicken starter.

Ordered for 6pm and arrived at 5.20pm, bit too early!! Please read order times for delivery and try to accommodate!!

The sweet crispy chicken wasn’t crispy, it was just chicken breast chunks. Other than that it was all lovely

Don’t order from here unless you ADORE corriander! Have ordered a few times and the last couple of times have specifically left a note “please no corriander in the salt and pepper prawns or chips”. The note even came in block caps on my receipt. But alas the dishes were drenched. Giving up now and won’t order again. Delivery was very timely though.

Came across this restaurant whilst doing a Google search for somewhere to eat near M42. A nice welcome, good service and lovely tasty food. Parking outside on the street which was a bonus. A really nice clean restaurant with a calm atmosphere. We really enjoyed our meal.

First time we tried this takeaway and we enjoyed the food. The free prawn crackers was a lovely treat which the kids loved.

Booked a table for 6 for my son’s birthday & on arrival were greeted by lovely, friendly staff. Our table was in the centre of this lovely restaurant. Was happy to see we also had a lazy Susan in the middle so could get our food easily. Good selection of drinks & food. We all chose a different dish & a couple of extra & few dishes of rice, chips. Service was super & will definitely go back again. Thank you

As a group of seven friends, who had not met for ages, we had a perfect evening in the Jade Wok. We would heartily recommend ! The service was excellent : friendly but also efficient and we felt relaxed to linger and catch up after the meal. The food was delicious and there was a really good range of dishes. And the surroundings were attractive and relaxing. We only wish we lived locally (but this was a long distance reunion with overnight at the Premier Inn 2 mins walk away) or we would definitely be regulars ! Thank you to the Jade Wok team, from us all ! This was an ideal evening for us.

Food portions tinny Food didn’t taste good

Ordered two meals, mine was Crispy Chicken with pineapple sauce. The chicken was dry and tasted like it had been reheated, not nice but what happened to the sauce?? It was awful, no taste of pineapple, no sign of pineapple chunks, just a gloopy tasteless mess, expected much better quality than this mess. Second meal was good and delivery was on time.

Items missing, food very bland, egg fried rice not fried just boiled rice with bits of egg. Singapore noodles with very little flavour, very little meat or prawns. Not much chicken in the curry. Overall very very disappointing won't be using them again.

Sweet & sour chicken Cantonese style were like fluffy pillows and the sauce was delicious. The sesame prawn toast wasn’t greasy it was perfect, and the meal was delivered really early and was piping hot. Thoroughly recommend.

Sauces were very thin and not much flavour. Egg fried rice was fluffy and white but again, not much flavour.

Visited with my wife and the foot was simply superb and plentiful. Ordered a set menu, requested a few changes that was accomodated with no problem. Really friendly staff, lovely decor, you’ll love this place. We’ll definitely be back…

This used to be the best Chinese restaurant in Solihull, but has fallen far. This was our second order in the last few months as I presumed the poor previous quality food was a one-off bad day. It wasn’t, this order was worse. Neither main course was eatable, nor were the sides of chilli salted chips and curry sauce. Never again.

Unfortunately food was very poor have ordered from here lots of times and there is a very change in the quality of the food. Food felt rushed delivered cold and tasteless.

Our annual visit to solihull x just really good food and a server (Paul) who went above and beyond. A credit to the establishment and we will be back

Lovely and good food - but cold when you get it so leave extra time to re-heat !!! Delivered with one minute to spare on latest delivery time and we are only 5 minutes driving from restaurant Might be best just to order directly from the restaurant and won’t be using just eat again for this

It was ok. Yuk sung and chicken Cantonese was nice. Ribs were very greasy. Tofu was cold, dripping in oil and inedible. Most needed reheating.

We love coming to the Jade Wok on a Sunday for the buffet menu. The food is all cooked fresh and really tasty. Service is always good too. This isn’t the first time we have visited for the buffet, and won’t be the last!

I placed a simple order which was deilvered missing the lettuce for the yuk sung. I tried calling the number for the restaurant which just rang out. I nearly didn't order off them seeing their review rating have fallen but having used them previous thought I would take the risk which I now realise was a mistake.

Seriously the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve had. I was on the verge of doing a covid test because the food had zero taste, I’m not trying to be funny either. I had Szechuan and Curry sauce on the same plate and neither had any taste. The fried rice was sticky like starched boiled rice and the food was cold, we are just over a mile from the place as well so it should have been warm.. Tragic. Save your money.

Have to say I’m really disappointed! The 2 chicken skewers I got were dry, to the point were I had to prise them off the sticks.
