No better Chinese food in the area.

I recently ordered the crispy chicken with salt and chilli, what I got was soggy chicken with lots and I mean lots of cubes of onions on top of the chicken, there was no chilli, no green or red pepper, no spring onion, have you ever heard the saying you eat with your eyes, it looked terrible. If you ever go to a good quality restaurant or takeaway it doesn't look like this. Never again.

Rice is not very nice and noodles were vile basically plain noodles and literally the name gives it away as no taste and just thrown in a tub and all stuck together 🤢

Great food Singapore fried rice is outstanding in fact I've eaten a variety and its become a tough choice as wht to have the staff are great always a smile.dlivery is brilliant they tell you how long and are there

I ordered and paid on the website but on delivery the driver kept on questioning whether I’d paid or not which made me feel uncomfortable when they should know if I paid when checking the order!

I’ve used this Chinese Takeaway on & off for many years, largely because it’s pretty close to where I live. This is my general review of this takeaway and I’d say that some of the meals served up here are pretty good (and I personally find their Duck and Singapore Noodle dishes for example to be my liking), however, in GENERAL I find the QUALITY of the Chicken in particular, but also a lot of the Pork and Beef used in Chinese Takeaways meals in general these days to be of much lower quality than it used to be (but the actual QUANTITY or the AMOUNT of meat thrown in to some Chinese Takeaways - including those from the Dragon House - can sometimes seem enormous IMO, and I’d prefer less quantity and more quality here). Also, what’s fairly important about the food here is that it’s usually served in PLASTIC containers (which are no doubt cheaper than the Tin Foil ones), but their use does absolutely nothing to keep the food hot - and for me at least - perhaps the strongest appeal of “Hot Chinese Food” is that it’s served … well, hot.

Ordered from here a few weeks ago and the food was great.

Ordered on the phone my partner had to pass me the phone as he was being rushed wen food arrived it was vile went straight in the bn iv been goin here for years I phoned up to tell them I was disappointed and he was very cocky and rude won’t be goin there again

Excellent food (chicken curry, mixed starter, chips, duck) and very quick service on a Friday night.

I've been ordering from here now for the last year having been converted from my regular Chinese take away restaurant. The food is BEAUTIFUL here, fresh, tasty and always great portions whether collecting or being delivered

Food was great but curry has changed more like an Indian than a Chinese too hot didn't enjoy that much?

I've been using the dragon 🐲 house for years and it's been absolutely delicious, never had a bad curry. I Definitely would recommend it to everyone. Give it a go.

In my view all Chinese takeaways are pretty similar, but the food is defined by being made well or made poorly. The Dragon House remains the King of Chinese takeaway. Their Singapore curry and pancake rolls a particular delight.

I've used this place for years normally no issues. Lately however not so good. Order misplaced food took 2 hours to come not very happy will find another take away now

I ordered a chicken and mushroom curry....omg it was absolutely full onions...total waste of money

I have to say, before I criticise the staff, that our take away meal was pretty good. We over ordered but the food was mostly great. However, for the 2nd time in as many days, a Solihull restaurant failed to serve up the meat that I asked for. On this occasion they sent me Chicken with green pepper, rather than duck. Not sure why restaurants do this. If duck is too expensive to prepare and sell, then take it off the menu. Don't think the customer won't notice; because they WILL. If you have received chicken, instead of duck, then call them out. Good delivery time, rest of the grub was absolutely fine.

Have been using this place for a number of years, it used to be the best Chinese we’d had and the only one we would use, but have found it to decline over the past couple of years. Last time we’d ordered a curry the sauce was really spicy compared to usually, and the meat very tough so this time (quite a while since we last ordered) asked for it mild. The curry sauce was watery and creamy coloured, it looked like a korma. Chips were soggy and the rest of the food was bland. Only thing that was nice was the egg fried rice and in all fairness out of everything has never disappointed previously either. We only ate it as we were all hungry and I wasn’t prepared to cook or waste yet more money and to be honest feel rather sick now. Apologies but unfortunately tasty rice is not enough for us to be ordering again in the future.

Have lived locally and used this place a few times in the past, the food itself was disappointing the sauce seemed watered down and the meat was tough and tasteless. Waste of time and money, tepid food barely warm, only live 2 mins away too so no excuse for tepid food either or a bad uninviting attitude at the desk. I will not be going back.

First time using Dragon House. The food was average and after spending £55, I didn't take kindly to the delivery charge of £1.20. I won't be using again.

Consistently delicious and freshly cooked. We enjoy chicken or prawn in oyster sauce or green pepper and black bean sauce, sweet n' sour chicken Cantonese style and mushroom curry and 2 portions of egg-fried rice for a little over £20 with delivery.

The food has a nasty flavour. It’s improperly cooked. Just eat are absent to help. The phone call to the people themselves was upsetting

First time using this takeaway was recommended by a friend. Food was lovely all nice and hot when delivered and very tasty. Looks like I have found myself a new Chinese takeaway will definitely be using here again.

We ordered on line yesterday and enjoyed a delicious dinner. The food was delivered quickly following our order and was lovely, warm and very tasty. I would highly recommend the Dragon House on Old Lode Lane, Solihull. The staff are so friendly and their service and food is 1st class - we’ll definitely be back again - Mrs Gail Edwards 👍🏻🤩

Service is terrible ordered my food 4 and 1/2 hours in advance and thay completely forgot about me it's third time they have let me down

We ordered this take away at 17:12 pm knowing that they would be busy. They said it would be an hour which we agreed to. 2 hours and 31 minutes later and 4 phone calls and our order has arrived luke warm. Very bad service.

called and placed order at 7.50pm and payed by card...9.20pm still no delivery so checked my online banking which showed the money hadn’t even been taken, called them and asked where my order was...man went and spoke to someone else and came back and said it’s been prepped now...10pm still no delivery! called again and told them i’ve been waiting over 2 hours! someone else comes on the phone and says hello would you like collection or delivery! i said ive ordered then he said it’s out for delivery! shocking service from a chinese i use often!

I have used here for years on and off and I have to say that tonight was the best take away I've ever had from here. The crispy shredded spicy beef was amazing - crunchy not chewy.

This restaurant is okay, but the area is not the best let alone good, it's in awful negative area. The prices of the food is expensive for the amount you get, but the flavouring and taste is amazing. I Can't give it 5 Stars because the pricing is way off, but it's ok restaurant.

Absolutely revolting had omelette and chips omelette fell apart chips was rock hard. Went back with delivery if you seen the state of the kitchen you would not want another take away ever again.

ordered ribs to start that were just fat and horrible... chicken and mushroom curry and my chicken was bight pink and was unable to eat so wasted my money!!! will NEVER visit again!!!!!

Shredded chicken is well disappointing, got baited by the sound of some fire sauces but may aswell just have bought the sauce alone. The wings are on point though

We have eaten a range of dragon house meals over the years, they are simply the best and we haven't found anywhere else better locally. You won't be disappointed.

Used here for years. Wafer wrapped king prawns from here are lovely. Sweet and Sour king prawns also very good as was the Singapore chow mein. they accept cards and deliver.

Typical chinese take away. Wide range of Chinese food. Ordered chicken Foo young, special fried rice, lemon chicken, Cantonese chicken, a chick and mushroom curry and boiled rice. Cost about £24, delivered for £1.00 in about 30 minutes with free large bag of prawn crackers and two fortune cookies. All good. Recommended

First time i have used this place and got to say friendly staff delivery guy was polite and food was amazing the chicken is proper chicken non of this slimy rubbish that wongs are serving and will definitely be using again

The best Chinese takeaway in in Solihull! Every dish is fantastic and the price is spot on too. Singapore vermicelli is particularly nice, as is house special in Hoi Sin, the sweet and sour chicken... I could go on and on!!

Good Chinese food with great taste and price.

Had Spare Ribs as an after beer 'snack'. They were dreadful. No actual ribs, just pieces of belly pork. Will not call again.

Worse food ever... Ended up in the bin. Called to complain and asking for a refund but they were very rude and cocky and refused a refund. Driver was just as rude cos he got address wrong..
