A clean takeout Chinese restaurant with friendly service. There are only waiting seats and no dining tables. We ordered a set meal for three people. We thought the portion was quite large and we were full!

I ordered soup and a special chow mein. The soup was great but the chow mein, as tasty as it was, contained very little meat and not a single prawn. Very disappointing. It was essentially beansprouts and noodles. I will be giving this place a miss for a while. Nearly £7 for that. No!!!

Curry is tastless. Spring roll is bland.

Ordered online for collection, it wasn’t until afterwards when working out the bill that we found out that most items are 30-50p more expensive when ordering online from there own website, made the whole bill £4.70 more expensive. Food wasn’t the best, will never use again!!!

Absolute joke. Ordered a fairly simple meal at 1922, it's 2121 now and still waiting. We're less than 1.5 miles away. Never again. Maybe they should change the name to Slow Boat. If you can't deliver within an hour, stop taking orders and don't blame your own website and say the times are wrong. Your website which surely you manage. Update - eventually arrived about 2140, and was left in the step which the delivery driver said he was told to do. Food was cold and went in the skip. Phoned 3 times and was asked why I was so angry. Really?

Beef and black bean sauce is propa nice and spicy. Front of house very friendly and polite I would recommend if you are from Marston green

Been around a long time, but lost touch with them due to poor parking and lack of delivery. Recently re-connected as they now deliver from their own website. I tried them out as I heard that they do a 'Spice Bag' which I've always wanted to try out. It was amazing, hugely generous mix of chips, crispy chicken, onions, peppers, salt & garlic, adding some curry sauce just topped it off. Easily generous enough for two and only £7 (curry sauce was extra). My family had more traditional meals such as chow mein or curries, all of which were hot, fresh and generous portions. Price wise I think they were slightly cheaper than other Chinese takeaways in the area and as good as I remember them being.

Extremely disappointed with our food. Five of us had a meal each & all agreed it wasn’t good. Go as far to say won’t ever eat from there again.I read a review before I wrote this & didn’t realise also it’s changed hands. Curry sauce is s**t. If I could I would ask for a refund.

Waiting time is a joke. 100mins!!! I had no call with apologies always lies that driver is on his way. Live 5mins from them... never ever again do jot recommend unpess you want to spend whole night waiting for food

I’ve just spent nearly £40 on there food it’s the worst Chinese take out I’ve had my order was salt and pepper prawns salt and pepper chicken wings they were disgusting floating in grease 1 chicken curry 1 beef curry the beef had white fatty bits and cartilage on the end of the meat my son had chicken bites with out the lemon sauce on them they were rock hard I also ordered chicken balls that had been cooked over and over again by the looks of them they were kinda black in colour the lot went in the bin I didn’t even plate it up I wouldn’t give it my dog.

Only thing keep me going is the thought of chop suey house cuisine on a weekend couldn’t recommend it enough.

I returned my king prawn fried rice as the prawns were not cooked. They replaced it with over cooked fried rice, prawns still undercooked and put peas in the rice when I requested no peas. Sadly, the meal went in the bin. One of the other meals ordered was luke warm. Will definitely not be having food from there again.

Been coming here for well over 30 years our most favourite chinese in the land. New owners now and everything still very nice. Only thing to mention. Not sure what they've done to the curry sauce its definately not as nice as it used to be . It's not awful just not as tasty. But gloopy.

Used this place over 20yrs unfortunately it's been going down hill tonight was the last straw disgusting beef curry I dont think I even know what the meat was certainly not beef stringy and pink grainy sauce had absolutely no taste atall ,watery and just nasty ,chicken chow mein not much better will never go there again .

I have been going to this Chinese take away for over 30 years and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. I have to be careful what I eat as I had E-Coli 157 from Spain, so now I wont eat meat out, however I know the staff here and I know how brilliantly the food is cooked and never hesitate to have the chicken curry or chow mein. Would thoroughly recommend Tony and his team in marston Green

1. They don’t deliver which I think pushes the score down quite a bit 2. Maybe it is a local thing but personally I thought it was all pretty poor food. They special chow mein had gravy in it. The Szechuan duck didn’t taste like duck and had no flavour whatsoever. But again maybe it is a local thing.

Been going here for the past 35 years on and off. It has been a long time since my last meal from this takeaway. Unfortunately not as good as it used to be. My salt and chicken must have soaked up the oil why being deep fried as all I could taste was grease. The special fried rice wasn't as good as I remember. The rice was hard in some places and sticky. I know Chinese takeaways aren't known for their chips but theirs were always salted and very tasty but they were pretty poor too. I've always said that people's tastes vary and some people like different takeaways but one thing always stood this place out for me was the quality of the food. It was always fresh and you could tell the difference. Was so looking forward to this meal as I hadn't been here for a long time. So disappointed that spending £25 and not wanting to eat it. I hope it was just a one off.

Had the chicken in batter with prawn toast, chicken was awful. 95% batter & the prawn toast was shockingly small and looked like it had been run over. Threw the lot in the bin, wont ever go back.

Chicken was chewy and really didnt taste nice at all, wasnt going to review but we have both woke up this morning feeling really ill. Avoid at all costs

I am standing there waiting to order my food and they just ignore me and keep answering the phone. ...how rude is that...I have got off my axxe and gone down there and the people on the phone get to order their food first...I have been going there for years but never again till they learn some manners

The service was efficient and staff were friendly. The food was also good. The only downside is that you can only pay by cash.

I used to visit here when I lived in Marston Green, however it does get a visit when I see my family. Always friendly and good value Chinese meals, the spring rolls are excellent

Good food and family, have been having my Chinese take away there since I moved to the area 14 years ago. I have never been disappointed, food is always great.

Food incredible and the staff are staff are wonderfully and polite. I do wish they had more food to choose from like prawn toast or more chicken options. Always get my food on time and always arrives hot. Always will order from here. I do wish the prices did lower slightly just personal preference and I do feel they should have deals on specific days or offers on weekends.

I have been going on and off for years. I can't say as personally I've ever been disappointed or had something that wasn't nice to eat. The place has a good reputation locally and I've heard people say they've driven a bit further to go there after moving out the area. Tony is always friendly too. Am a bit surprised by the bad reviews as for myself they don't ring true.

3 different meals were ordered. The special Chowmein & Special fried rice was disgusting to had a dark brown sauce. Both tasted the same it was not good. There was not a king prawn in sight & the normal prawns were microscopic. The beef and mushrooms were ok but overall a very poor meal

Yummy hot fresh prepared takeout Chinese food. Ready very quickly after you call or go into the shop. No sit down facility to eat. Purely takeout and very nice too!

just ordered a singapore chowmein .. and the noodles were like soft ..no crunchy ones .. it was like a bowl of shredded wheat .. totally horrible .. there were 2 prawns in it and slices of green pepper ... binned it.

Without taking any more thought I decided to try it. Not impressed at all. Will not be going back! It really does say something when really basic standards of hygiene aren't met.

Las patatas fritas son secos y la salsa dulce y amarga, es asqueroso. Solía tener siempre esto, pero ahora han cambiado. También no entregar y todos los demás chinos en la zona y probar un poco mejor.

I always ate here as a teenager and it was beautiful, over the last few years it has gone downhill in a big way, ate here a year ago and was vile so swerved it until tonight to be disappointed again. Rice was hard, chips looked like they were from yesterday and the curry sauce was watered down, didn't taste right at all. So upsetting that everyone loved this place but are recognising too how it's going downhill.

Well priced Chinese takeaway. Food is always fantastic with brilliant efficient service. Also offer rice noodles for wheat intolerant people. Would reccomend

Picked up a takeaway on the way back to my NEC hotel.The man at the counter (later learned he is the owner) was a little grunmy and sharp, however will forgive him as the Food was AMAZING ! without a doubt the Best oriental food i have ever had ! can ot wait to try again on my next visit - wish you would deliver to York lol

I have used this places for 20+ years when tony's mom & dad run it and i would'nt go anywhere else i' here 2 -3 times aweek, Tony is a great guy know's what i want when we walk in the door , the food tastes great just as you would want it , i've eaten all over the world and i still haven't found a chinese that beats tony and the chop suey in marston green.i have to drive passed 2 chinese take aways to get to the chop suey , i recommend it to everyone.

Our family has been visiting the Chop Suey House for years and have never had a bad meal. The food is made quickly while you wait, portions are large and of excellent quality. Try the chilli chips – a real treat!

We've just moved into the local area and decided to give the local Chinese takeaway a try. I ordered the set meal for two - it didn't take long to get the food but, when I got home, it wasn't very hot, the starters were overdone and the main meals were not very tasty at all (the ingredients seemed very cheap). I don't think we'll be coming here again.

Went there last night, had chicken curry with egg fried rice and chips fed me and the wife up still the best Chinese in the area.

Visited the local takeaway. First thing I receive is . "hurry up we are closing". This was 11:25. Normal closing time is 12.Ordered after being pushed.Got home. I ordered a portion of chips and sweet and sour chicken to be quick for the staff.Chips were nice for once , salted with sea salt. However the chicken was all batter.I will say though it was real chicken and not processed, however the service level was non existant.Very sad Tony. Family business is being run into the ground.Save it before its too late!
