We called into this cafe at 4.25pm for a quick coffee & cake before we set off for home. There were 2 other couples present. We went to the counter & the young assistant kept her back to us & didn’t say anything! She was preparing another order so after trying & failing to make eye contact we found a table & read the leaflet about the warm welcome the cafe likes to give its visitors!! Once the drinks had been delivered to another table I approached the counter again. The assistant kept her back to me & continued to tidy away! I greeted the assistant & gave her our drink order. She grimaced in return & before I could could state the cake order she interrupted & said ‘Is that it’? I decided it was! We cancelled our drinks & left!! This is the worst service we have ever received in a cafe and it was in sharp contrast to all the other shops we had visited that day.

Open Sunday which is great. Small inside but quirky with food served on proper vintage plates. Waffles are £6.95. Very nice. Good service. Can’t complain.

One of my favourite coffee houses in Broadstairs. Great value, great coffee and lovely lovely staff. Emily, Nina, Tom, Krista etc. Genuinely lovely helpful and friendly people. For sad old codgers like me that early morning warm greeting and chat just makes my day every time. Bless. Martin/ John 🤣

Found this cafe while visiting an open garden in the area. Pleasant welcome . Ordered a jacket potato with cheese, a sandwich and two hot drinks. The potato was hot and the cheese melted. I've had many a potato that is warm at other establishments so this was a pleasant surprise. We also had an ice cream each. We will be back next time we are in the area

First impressions are good with friendly staff and a stunning interior. Happily, the food matches those first impressions. Incredibly fresh, full of flavour and absolutely delicious. Everything we had was incredible and (especially if you take advantage of the Wednesday night offer) good value for money.

We called in to have lunch on our way to Ludlow but all the tables were full so decided on a takeaway. Big mistake. Totally disorganised and very slow service , ‘ served’ by miserable ,bad tempered staff. I am registered disabled and whilst waiting ages to be served, went to the toilet. There were 2 but I was rudely told that I couldn’t use either!!! Then told to go and find the public one which was far too far for me to walk. The cappuccino was boiling hot and blistered the roof of my mouth . The food is ok but we will never go there again for sure.

A truly awful experience. We got to the café at 2.50pm, only to be told that they we now only serving drinks and cakes, due to a backlog, although disappointing, as the closure time was 4pm, we decided to take a table and order a Latte, an Americano, and a Cherry Bakewell. Whilst seated, the small room was very cramped with as many tables as they could fit it, making it so loud, it was hard to hold a conversation, as it was that full. We wait around 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and thought the Cherry Bakewell would follow. After 5 minutes we asked one of the servers about this and the response was “There is a backlog”.. The Cherry Bakewell eventually arrived 5 minutes after this, by which time we had finished our drinks. Even if we had asked for more drinks, this would have been caught in the “backlog”..! On the food & Drinks - The coffee was awful and Cherry Bakewell, turned out to be a cake on such a small plate, it was impossible not to drop some of it on the table whilst trying to eat into it. The cost of this truly awful experience was £13.90 The problem on service is clear to see, not enough backroom staff to accommodate the number of tables they have crammed into such a small space. If you want to be sitting in a crammed room, waiting for service and paying top money to be treated like cattle, then this is the place for you.

The cafe is efficiently run and we enjoyed the rooftop seating in the sun today. Unfortunately the scone was stale. Quite a shocker for me! What a shame :(

A warm welcome in this beautiful, cosy pub/restaurant. The food was fantastic, well cooked and of high quality. Plenty of choice from a main menu and superb specials on offer. The staff are friendly and efficient. A well run pub with happy staff. And clearly a very good chef…. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the evening too being given a warm welcome, plenty of fuss and a bonio! So lovely to be able to take your dog out with you when you go out to dinner. Thank you all at the Ragleth Inn.

Very average food. But the customer service is absolutely horrible. I ordered a combi kebab which they told me is a two kebabs. Later when I looked at the order it was one meal with double amount of meat and not two kebabs as I was told ( not to mention that a size of a ‘double kebab’ was a size of a normal kebab in any other place) The lack of empathy from the owner was next level- he was not interested to resolve a situation and ensure customer is satisfied. I had a situations before when there is a miscommunication and you don’t really get what is expected, but normally this can be easily resolved after a normal conversation ( and by this I don’t mean getting anything for free) but this owner did not give a s*hit about a customer and decided to raise a voice when I said to him that they are very lucky of the lack of the competition in the area and that the prices are extremely expensive compare another places I have had kebab before. I have worked in retail before and customer satisfaction was always at the heart of everything we do as word of mouth does matter. Whit this attitude this place will never do well. Worst place ever!
