Ragleth Inn in Shropshire

Had a great family lunch here today. Two of us had veggie options (of which there's lots on the menu, and most can be vegan too) - really tasty sweet potato and onion tart, with potatoes and salad. The fish pie was also highly rated. The desserts were equally good and the portion sizes were very generous. Friendly spot, a good mix of locals in for a pint, friends having lunch and walkers like ourselves popping in for lunch. Would definitely recommend.

A remarkably friendly pub, very welcoming. The food was excellent as gastro-pub food, and there was a good choice for vegan diners. All very tasty and large portion sizes great for refuelling after long walks. Very enjoyable - we went back the following night!

Went for Sunday lunch today after a lovely walk only ever been to this pub before for a drink omg I wish we’d known how great the food was before . A beautiful Sunday roast and friendly staff . We both the rare beef and it was as described the veg was also fabulous and not overcooked as is the case with many establishments . We will definitely be back again . What an amazing place. Food was fresh and delicious. Finally we have found a pub where the chef listens. One of our friends has had a gastric bypass and can not eat much. We asked for no chips on her meal and finally for the first time the meal came out as requested… no wasted food. Stunning pub with the log burner lit, staff are a credit to the pub. We will return

I have been here for a Sunday dinner a couple of times now and both times have had one of the nicest Sunday roasts I’ve ever had !! The beef brisket is 10/10! The food is perfect and service is great too, all of the staff are so accommodating and super friendly. Lovely country pub, I would recommend to everyone :)

Conflict within this review. The food was excellently cooked, however the portion size was suitable for a child. A lesson in how to squeeze more spend out of the customers by leaving them hungry for additional courses. Such a shame as the the taste was really good.

I went here to celebrate my 60th bithday with my daughter & 8 friends.We had a lovely time. We pre-ordered our starters & main course. Everyone enjoyed their meal, it was delicious & well prepared. All the staff were lovely. In fact I couldn't fault anything. I've been a few times to Ragleth Inn & always enjoyed it. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for making my birthday so enjoyable!

Last week, after finishing walks on the Mynd, we called in on three occasions for a welcome glass of mulled wine. On one evening we also enjoyed a splendid meal. The pub is cosy, the staff so friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent, well presented and tasty. We will always remember our visits to the Ragleth Arms. I can think of no better place to end one year begin another.

I have eaten here a few times over the years with friends as its a great halfway meeting point between Shrewsbury and Ludlow. The food has always been homecooked, with generous portions and plenty to choose from on the menu. This time we had the festive menu and it was lovely. Well priced, good service and nice atmosphere. One of the better places in Shropshire to eat in my opinion! I'm fed up with eating out and being overcharged for rubbish food. The food at the Ragleth is not like that, looking forward to going back again soon.

A very warm welcome from the minute we walked in and very attentive services in this lovely country pub, our first visit there and certainly will not be our last, superb quality food and very generous portions presented extremely well. Cant wait to come back again. Compliments to both the kitchen team and front of house, many establishments seem to have lost of what a 'good customer experience' looks like, NOT this place, keep up the great work.

I think we all said the same - best Sunday Lunch we have ever had out! Great speedy service, delicious food and a great atmosphere. We had the Turkey Roast and Pork Roast - both fantastic. Good sized portions and every single part of it was delicious. We will be back!!

Exactly what you expect from a cosy country pub! Really nice feel to it with locals and diners, great real ale selection and a lovely Shiraz. The food is the real highlight though, I ordered the pork fillet and black pudding dish and it was absolutely delicious, one of the nicest meals I’ve ordered in a very long time. The orange and almond cake was also beautiful. Also, a really nice range of vegetarian dishes too, at least 3! So much better than the classic ‘mushroom risotto’. If you’re in the area, you must try this pub, 5*!

What a joy to find this gem of a place. The best pub food you are likely to get. An excellent menu with some dishes that are a little different from the usual pub fare. Lovely cosy place to spend an evening with attentive service and good food. Prices are very competitive, especially when you consider what you can pay for very mediocre food. Booking is recommended as this place gets very busy even midweek. We ate here while staying in the area but really wish we had a place like this in our home area.

Our first visit to the Ragleth Inn was lovely. Beautiful quaint Inn. Very attentive staff and food was delicious. Having waited for our desserts for some time (we did not complain!) we were offered free coffee for the delay. We did not take this offer up as we saw they were really busy. But a nice gesture. Have already booked to return soon.

This is a fab gastroscope pub in Little Stretton. We eat there regularly when we stay in the area.Never had an underwhelming meal. Very extensive menu with of gluten free choices Baked potatoes we usually choose at lunchtime are the best we’ve ever eaten. Sunday roasts with plenty of other choices superb. In fact everything we chosen from the menu has been excellent & good value

Last minute booking. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming, the same can be said for the locals who are lucky to have this wonderful inn on their doorstep. Spoilt for choice with a menu which catered for all dietary needs. Four legged friends accommodated. Our two dogs loved it and perhaps no coincidence that they were on their best behaviour. Strongly recommend but would advise book ahead to avoid missing out.

Excellent menu, with dishes that don't appear on every other menu - particularly encouraging for a vegetarian like me. And the food was delicious. Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Service a little slow at times, but to be fair, it was very busy. Looking forward to going back next time we visit the area.

Fabulous lunch today. Fish pie was excellent but even that was surpassed by the the seafood linguine. The usual prawns and mussels of course, but also featuring clams and razor shells.
