Staying local so booked in for Sunday Lunch today. Certainly not disappointed, we had an amazing Sunday roast dinner beef and pork. Really well presented with side dishes of wonderful fresh vegetables, cabbage carrots and beans, you rarely get fresh vegetables now a days. We also had gorgeous Dauphinoise potatoes. We shared a huge Aston Mess their take on Eaton mess, so much fruit and cream yummy. The couple running the pub are so very nice, sad that it was so quiet but guess late in season. We did go back later for their Open Mike evening which was very well attended such a great community atmosphere. We will definitely be back and wish you both good things. P.S. Thank you for finding my bracelet too.

Great Sunday lunch, loads of meat, beautiful veg and superb pudding. Beer and wine was ace too. Log burner was icing on the cake. Thank you to lovely staff. Stayed at wayside campsite, very good with lovely views and can walk to pub though road is a bit iffy as no path. Bar on site open some nights.

We were staying nearby so decided to have a meal out. Called in and were welcomed by the manager. We ordered fish, chips and choice of peas. The meals were very generous and perfectly cooked. The pub had a friendly atmosphere and a good selection of table games for use in the pub and a neat beer garden to rear. A lovely little find.

This lovely traditional pub was just up from our campsite and we visited Easter Sunday for a roast lunch. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the roast beef was very tasty and just the right size. We also had desserts and the cheesecake was divine. Would definitely recommend this dog friendly pub.

Delightful beer garden, filled with the sound of twittering birds! The perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon.Excellent cider (Robinsons of Tenbury) and well kept local ale.We experienced a very friendly service and felt at home amongst the locals, and visitors from the nearby campsite (wayside) just a short stroll away. Good compliance with covid regulations - well spaced seating, easy to book in on their website in advance, very clean facilities. Looking forward to returning when we can sit inside/ try out a meal.

Would have liked to review this place but due to the appalling service and attitude all I can say it left me hopping mad, I telephoned to try to book for 11 people and was told to use the web site, tried this and it would only allow bookings of six people. I recontacted and queried this and asked if I could book two tables for six people, I was told that it shouldn’t be a problem but the manager would ring back in a short while, no contact from the manager I telephoned again in case I had missed a call, they said they had not called me. A further hour passed and I called again the same bloke answered, he said he had to ask the manager again the answer was a straight no. I tried ringing a few other establishments and they were all booked, I asked when they became fully booked and was told during that evening!!! If the manager of the Kangaroo rang when said we may have had a chance elsewhere. We are now left with fish and chips The kangaroo could well have had upwards of £250 in their pouch after we had purchased food wine and beer, instead the local chippy will have a bumper evening

This pub served the best Sunday lunch I have had in many years. Add to that the fact that the prices are very reasonable, I 100% recommend it. The meat was very tender and, because I didn't want crackling, I was offered what turned out to be the best Yorkshire pudding I have tasted. The selection of vegetables and presentation overall was very attractive as well as tasting delicious. The chef also offered to make me a special dessert which, unfortunately, I had to refuse as I had already eaten more than enough!! The service was friendly and swift. I don't live in the area which is a shame as I'd love to eat there regularly! Highly recommend... Do try!

Excellent Sunday lunch, really tender beef. All very attractively presented. Loved having vegetables and gravy separate and not on plate, brilliant array of different vegatables. Trifle we had for dessert was largest we have had anywhere and was lovely. Enjoyed the real ales on offer too. Staff friendly and great to go back to a pub I used to frequent when I lived locally and to still find it was a great village pub.

It was steak night which was great for 3 of us but not much for a vegetarian, the chef came out and asked whether I liked linguine with asparagus, mushrooms, cream and garlic bread, it was one of the best meals I’ve had out in long time. Good value as well, 2 course meals and drinks for 4 came to under £98. Thoroughly recommend.

We visited the pub for two consecutive nights while stopping at Wayside camping site,a 10 minute walk away..The first night was fish night and the size and taste of the fish was exceptional, even better than the seaside restaurant we visited two days earlier in Tenby South Wales.Night two was even better as there was a full menu choice available,my wife opted for the steak which was huge and well presented, but tasted even better.I opted for the rib eye steak pie which are made to order so you do have to wait a short time, but chef comes to you and keeps you informed and upon presentation and tasting the short wait is quickly forgotten.I think it was one of the nicest meals I have ever had and due to it being our anniversary,I was more than happy with the experience of visiting the Kangaroo Inn...I will make the point of visiting again whenever I am in the area hopefully on a Friday when it is a steak night...5 stars to chef and barperson for a nice friendly atmosphere and an enjoyable visit.

The chef is extremely competent, accommodating and even took our order himself! Very attentive staff, beautiful, traditional food with a variety of choice. This our local pub for the next few months as we are renting nearby, whilst our house purchase goes through. There are only plus points to this pub. There is no jukebox, no fruit machines and no jukebox. All plus points for me. What it has is atmosphere, a good selection of real ale, excellent food cooked fresh by a very competent chef, who excels at good quality pub grub. None of this arty, farty, nouvelle cuisine, where you still feel hungry after you've eaten. Add to this a friendly and welcoming landlady in Michelle, who has been there years and frankly you have a place you want to go back to. A visit is highly recommended.

The beers are always fabulous, the atmosphere friendly and the live music entertaining but this year there is an added bonus. The Kangaroo has a new chef! We decided we would give it a go, we've only ever eaten at their beer festival outdoor BBQ before and never been too impressed. We ate in their small restaurant area and the food was fantastic. That encouraged us to give the outdoor BBQ another try and this provided a good range of fabulous quality, delicious food.

Visited on a Friday evening for a meal, the place was not busy at all, with just one other table ordering food at the same time as us, and a few (presumed) regulars propping up the bar. The atmosphere was good nevertheless and the service very friendly. I had a burger which was very nice although the bread, like many burger buns, was a bit too crumbly. My partner had a steak and said the sauce wasn't quite warmed through so he didn't enjoy it as much as he might have otherwise, but he liked his Ludlow Gold beer. If I lived in the area I'd be happy to have this as my local and probably make good use of the pool table.

Attended a bbq here with two others, initially had belly of pork x 3, hardly any meat on the belly of pork due to the amount of fat, accompanied with pasta and potato salad, pasta was slimy and tasted vinegary. As me and my partner were hungry we left most of the pork and pasta and reordered a burger and Cumberland sausage with potato salad only, burger was ok but dry as no onions or salad to accompany the burger, Cumberland sausage was also served in a dry roll approximately twice the size of the sausage. Worst food I have ever had won't be eating here again.

Defensive manager does not value feedback! This place will therefore not improve. We visited the restaurant as believed it to be part of a good quality complex. Our arrival was greeted cheerfully and we were shown to a 2 seater table. That’s where any notion of customer service ended. My partner went up to the counter to order a starter and 2 meals…. Our drinks arrive promptly. …tick tick… 20 minutes go by. People who arrived after us start getting their meals… …tick tick… I go over and ask what’s happening. I’m told “It’s busy“ …tick tick… I ask again. “It’s busy.” More people who have subsequently come in are served. Eventually the manager (who I saw looking at tickets behind the kitchen) came over with our mains. No starter of soup. What followed was incredible! She insisted that the cock up was our fault! Apparently, the lack of soup was because she could not possibly know what was ordered, what should be a starter and how many people were at each table. That excuse would work in a service station, but we are talking about a place that charges handsome price’s commensurate with table service - but with no table service. We will never go back.
