The best restaurants in Lichfield West Midlands

Just dropped into The Country Club on Valentines Night for a curry. The restaurant had been decorated for Valentines, beautifully, a real effort had been made, a credit to the team. We were made welcome and the service was generally good. A little more attention to customers in the restaurant re if food okay, and noticing if more drinks needed would be good. The team, to be fair were very busy with bar area. The food was excellent, portions of curry fabulous and beautifully cooked. Disappointed in portions of rice, these were very small and not nearly enough to compliment the curry. We were offered a complimentary dessert or glass of Prosecco as Valentines, a really nice gesture, we all chose the dessert which was enormous and really good. Our recommendation would be to order additional rice or Nan bread, to thoroughly enjoy. A little more attention to those in restaurant as well as bar area would not go amiss. We all had a lovely evening and will return. Congratulations on making an effort for Valentines, the complimentary Prosecco or Dessert a lovely gesture. Thank you.

Just returned from a fab lunch here with friends. We all chose the 2 courses for £16. Food was excellent from the huge Fish & Chips to the Open Steak sandwich. Deserts were even better Service with a smile too. Perfect ……thank you .

Nine of us visited this afternoon as a family and after 4/5 rounds of drinks (plus plenty of snacks) we were having a really nice time! Our young niece, a child, popped to the Co-op down the road for a packet of crisps. A simple “sorry but we don’t allow customers to bring their own food” would have sufficed and said packet of crisps would have been put away. But no, our entire afternoon was completely spoilt in a matter of seconds by an ignorant, horribly spoken man with ZERO customer service. I just wish we had encountered this man before we had put our money behind his bar. Shocking experience, we swiftly left the premises and were met with much kinder staff down at the Uxbridge arms.

The pub hosted a wake for a family member and the service we received couldn't have been any better. The bar itself was clean, cosy, and warm, with real fires that added to the homely feel. There was a huge selection of drinks to choose from, and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Could not fault the buffet food —the quality, quantity, or variety. Everyone left happy and several commented on what a great afternoon it had been despite the sad circumstances.

Delia the shop manager was incredibly rude to the staff working, she made a young girl who was working seem very uncomfortable and didn’t offer her help when the young girl clearly needed it. this is not the first time i’ve seen this happen when i’ve been into the shop, the manager herself was making her own coffee whilst there was a que to the door and shouting at staff asking why things hadn’t been done but again didn’t offer help. in my eyes this seemed very unprofessional and didn’t seem like a nice environment to work in at all. coming from a fellow hospitality employee this behaviour is unacceptable and made the experience unpleasant.

Came in here for a meal and drinks and moored our boat outside the pub. The staff and landlady were very friendly, food was reasonably priced as were the drinks. The meals were excellent and we didn't have to wait long for them either. Nice atmosphere and we will definitely be back.

Best Pizza & Chicken in Lichfield. Get the garlic mayo dip to go with it!

Best icecream 🍦 iv ever had 😍😍😍 altho iv got to say I wish the staff where a little more friendly 3 times iv been now and every time iv not felt very welcome and greeted great. Won't stop me going though

Inside cafe area, people sat eating with coats on as cafe wasn't that warm, till service extremely slow & I know we live in ripoff Britain but £30 for two small breakfasts & 2 coffees, not a problem had it been quality but it failed to live up to anything half decent, firstly swimming in grease, deep fried mushrooms yuk, fried egg yoke was not the only runny part, awarding winning sausage & bacon signs on the wall, very mediocre, carpark is a disgrace. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Went for a family birthday celebration. Food and service were excellent. Great that you can take your own drinks, definitely going again!

Was one of the best pizzas I have had I sometimes travel to the park to come and buy a pizza (I’m pretty sad 😅) great if your local anyway only thing service was a bit slow about 20 mins and it’s a bit dark but staff are amazing as always

Sick of this place. I’m a regular customer. Keep giving them the benefit of the doubt but every single time I ask for lots of onion and lettuce on mine they give me literally a sprinkle. About 4 tiny slithers of onion and no lettuce. This is all the past times as well. Can you not read?? Chips are always so soggy. Well done joes pizza. You lots another loyal/regular customer. Lazy and stingy. We pay you should make sure we get what we pay for.
