This place has really gone downhill. The food is still good but is failing in so many other ways. The tables are dirty as is the cutlery and cups. They don't seem to ever have enough staff as old dirty plates take a while to be cleared and again the tables don't get cleaned. There is a severe shortage of condiments and the salt in the cellars is all damp and won't come out. Really can't fault the food but all the other problems gives it a 2 at best.

Painfully slow service surely there should be a till separate for farm shop purchases in addition to the cafe side. Only one woman on till serving coffees. Big queue forming and no staff out back bothered to come out to help. Put my purchases back and left . Very poor customer service. Must be losing loads of business. Not enough staff out front. Need to take on some younger quicker staff.

Four of us went for cooked breakfast recently and it was excellent. Staff were friendly and chatty and food arrived in good time. Breakfasts were very nice. I had a veggie breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The other three had traditional cooked breakfast and they really enjoyed it. Our first visit and we would certainly go back. In fact I’m looking forward to it. We also shopped in the butchers there and bought some meat etc which was very tasty. Little gem of a find for us to be honest.

Visited on a Saturday morning and was turned away because there wasn't any tables available when several tables were empty. Myself and my wife go for a walk before breakfast to build up our appetite so booking a table is difficult when we walk between 5 and 8 miles depending on weather and fatigue. In the past the standard of food and service has always been excellent which makes it more frustrating when you can't get a table and there are empty tables with 'Reserved'. We were offered a takeaway but this just isn't the same as eating in. Regards, Tom

Myself and my sister are regular customers for lunch and shopping. The food is excellent and so are the girls who serve you. However, I am absolutely disgusted by the condition of the approach "road" and the carpark. The entrance is a wet and muddy field with holes that shake your car as you ride over it. The carpark is much the same large potholes and mud!! The exit is more of the same. I have a nice car which I look after. If this was a small establishment, just getting going, perhaps this could be understood. NO! Bradshaw's has been long in existence, granted not so long at Bleak House, but more than long enough to have addressed these issues. The amount of things going on there, besides the restaurant and farm/butchers shop, is quite substantial. I would thought more than profitable enough to be able to put right these problems. Before opening further new attractions, perhaps some thought could be put into improving the roads. I took pictures of my car today, ( I can't share as I am not familiar with how to do this!) tyres thick with mud and mud inside the car as there is nowhere you could wipe your shoes., as for the car's suspension, well !!! Customers welfare doesn't seem to matter.

We recently attended a Halloween event here and went into the cafe for refreshments. This was not a one off and I have not reviewed before but each time we come in the service is so slow. I appreciate everything is freshly prepared which can mean you have to wait longer but there is no excuse for how slow they serve the line. The staff always look unhappy, not stressed and rushing just not happy to be there.

They say you get what you pay for. That’s true here you do pay a little above average but the food is so much nicer than your bog standard English breakfast you get from cafes. Went in to buy fillet steak, usually spend £90-£110, today they had a three quarter fillet in the cabinet and I asked if I could have full fillet. Young lad serving me asked his boss if he had any in the back. He paused turned round looked me up and down paused and then decided he did not have any. He has never served me but plenty of his staff had. So if you are not a regular known to the boss don't expect service, I am glad they can turn good business away. Sadly won't be having fillet steak for birthday.

We visited the farm shop cafe for breakfast and we where really looking forward to it. We love farm shops and high quality produce. Value for money is excellent definitely can’t grumble at the prices and the chocolate orange hot chocolate that I had was a work of art. The farm shop had some beautiful high quality produce which was a really nice touch and the shop itself I would return to. The breakfast was okay very average I would say. The toast was smothered in cheap margarine which I wouldn’t expect from a farm shop. Sausage was nice the rest average. The staff where doing there best but the service was all over the place from how to get seated to how to get served etc this needs an awful lot of work. I finished my drink and to get another one I would have had to leave my breakfast and join a queue to get another drink. I think it could benefit from table service and a separate queue for takeouts really understaffed for the demand. It has its pros and cons but it’s not somewhere we would return to for a relaxing well cooked breakfast.

10 members of our walking party decided to opt for something different and go for the Christmas afternoon tea at Bradshaws Farm Shop at the end of November 2021. The table was laid with Royal Ablert china, with lovely matching tea and coffee pots and crackers, party hats, etc. It was more savoury than sweet, which everyone agreed was better, and at £14.95 it was great value too. Plenty of finger sandwiches, also quiche and sausage roll, a few small fancies and scones with proper individual pots of jam and clotted cream, also unlimited tea and coffee. We couldn't fault it. Every one said the food and service was first class. Thank you so much to the staff who worked so hard to make our Christmas outing so enjoyable.

Went to try and have lunch, loads of dirty tables, seemed really disorganised. Said to wait to be seated so stood in a queue for ages. Staff going past all the time, not acknowledging us or others in front of us. Family in front finally decided to just go and sit down to get a response. Staff cleaning one table at a time and not thinking about how to best manage situation. Eventually the person on the till spoke to us and we asked if they had a table to be told they didn’t. That’s fair enough as we accept places are busy and have to have systems in place but they should have spoken when we arrived and they could see we were waiting, basically none of the staff acknowledge you, it’s clearly chaotic. Simple measures such as a sign to say fully booked or some basic customer service could sort this out. No comment on food as didn’t get opportunity to have any. Waste of time.

We visited the farm shop with the purpose of buying local produce and meat. . Having chosen some lovely local produce, we made our way to the butchery counter where we waited for over 5 minutes for somebody to come to assist us. Nobody came to serve us. We decided to gave up, returned our produce to the shelves and left. The staff in the café who we passed on our way in to the shop never gave us a second glance as they were too busy talking! Perhaps we were just unlucky but we presume that Bradshaws Farm Shop didn't need our custom on that day! Sorry to say we won't be returning for a second attempt!

We visited the Farm Shop one afternoon and the service and produce here is excellent, The sausages are truly excellent and the Pork Pies superb and all the other meat, from stek and burgers to pork and lamb have so far been wonderful. The Sausages take me back to my childhood with memories of delicious sausages and these have the same taste and are way better than supermarket bought stuff. We will be making this place part of our regular shopping run from now on.On having such a good visit in the shop we asked about the Cafe and was informed that booking was essential and so a week or so later we called and booked for midday which provided an opportunity to take along our 18mth old grand daughter to see the animals etc.. On the day we arrived promptly about 5 minutes before 12.. there is a one way system in with hand sanitiser and the NHS Covid app scan area. There are about 10 tables in the inside area of the Cafe and only two men sat at one table finishing their meal and a party of four at another just reading the menu. It took 3 or 4 minutes getting to the counter as folks were giving take out orders in front of us. We got to the counter and were then told our table was ready and pointed in the direction of a table near the entrance and we went and sat down to peruse the menu. Other than the waitress at the counter the place appeared devoid of staff at this time.. and despite the waitress saying she would be with us in a minute she was taking orders from the other table, having to return to the counter when someone came in and was clearing old plates from tables vacated before our arrival.. In all it took 25 minutes for someone to come for our order, which with a young child who thought that was way too long to be sat still was a bit of a test. At that point it appeared lunch break was over as then there were three waitresses moving about in the cafe. My wife went an took our grand daughter to see the animals. We had ordered two of the 'medium breakfasts which were about £7.50 each and something from the kids menu for the little one, you pay at time of order, never popular with me.. I can see the need if folks are eating outside and may slip away without paying and obviously they just do that for inside too. In contrast to the wait to order it only took about 10 minutes for the food to arrive.. A hearty breakfast indeed if only they didn't drop the toast on top of the tomatoes making it so soggy that it fell apart when picked up and those tomatoes were a sort of thick paste rather than discernable peices of tomato in juice, similarly the baked beans were 'over cooked' if thats possible, rather congealed and had to be cut with a knife, if proded with a fork they moved as one mass possibly been kept warm for most of the morning so quite dry. Those points made the sausage, bacon and eggs were nicely done and very tasty as I knew they would be, the hash browns and saute mushrooms too were very nice. I didn't care for the black pudding, just something missing but I did try it. All in all the meal was good and worth waiting for. Apart from the little gripes which may have been due to the time we visited, I'm sure those beans and tomatoes would have been great at 9 or 10 am. On the whole it was a 7 out of 10 for the breakfast. Other things to mention, the childs meal wasn't great, one and a half sausages on a folded over slice of bread.. I dont think the little one was too concerned though, she enjoyed the bread but the sausages went with us, half each for the three dogs who like me thought they were excellent. Finally the table top was quite sticky and this is clearly not due to poor hygiene the waitresses cleaning the tables was very evident but maybe what is used to clean them or that they are unpolished wooden topped tables even so it didn't detract too much from the experience. On balance I would re-visitbut probably at a different time or for a different meal.. not bad all in all!

Now - pre lockdown we were regular visitors here. (Been shielding - so haven’t been anywhere!). And post lockdown we shall be again!I’ve only just seen some of the negative reviews - and my amazement has prompted me to write this review! We have visited as a couple, with daughters, and with grandchildren and daughter! We even made a point of visiting on the day of our last family holiday (Jan 2020), as when we asked where to stop for breakfast on our way to Cornwall - the chorus was BRADSHAWS - before we had even set out!Now to address some of the moans:Slow service? Well it’s not as fast as your average greasy spoon - freshly cooked food does take longer!Complaints about having to find table first? - the obvious reason is to make sure you have somewhere to eat! This may be more difficult with a baby or toddler, but I visited often with granddaughter (as a baby and as a toddler.Common sense solved this! I put my coat on table, moved the high chair to table, and then queued to order with my granddaughter- not rocket science is it?Expensive? , quality produce, worth every penny!Rude staff? Now I have never seen this or experienced it on my many visits, but I’m never rude to people myself either, and tend to find it works both ways!Farm shop is more expensive than other places, but you get what you pay for, and you are assured of absolute top quality. Every time.I simply can’t wait to visit again, hopefully sooner, rather than later

We visited Bradshaw’s cafe today and we were very disappointed by the customer service we received by the dark haired lady in the cafe. Myself and my family have been coming to bradshaws for years and are regulars at the cafe. I have never once complained and only recommended it. Never again. After waiting an hour and them cleaning up I thought I’d chase the food. Then when it came I asked for the Yorkshire puddings that was missed off and if it could be heated up for a minute as it was barely Luke warm. Not a problem. I then went to get some salt and pepper and heard the owner in the kitchen screaming abuse about me. To be fair I have seen them laughing when others complain in the past but just ignored it as moaners until it was my turn. She then came out the kitchen to just stared at me whist she said to the staff ‘Have they paid’ my husband had to take out toddler outside whist I ate my food which I now was put off but determined to eat it. They we’re cleaning around me as they were waiting to close and me to move. This week I had to bury my mother not long after burying my father and the last thing I needed was being slagged off from this awful high and mighty woman whom well owned the place. No one to complain to about her. Well losing one family won’t bother her but it really upset me. It’s such a shame as it was my favourite place to eat and the rest of the staff are lovely but never again after this horrendous experience.

Bradshaws never dissapoints, excellent food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. They offer a great selection of cakes and a farm shop attached. They also have a few animals outside for the kids! Only criticism is it needs to have more tables as it is increasing in popularity!

What can I say about Bradshaws except that the food they serve is always fresh from their own butchers and farm, with very friendly staff. Sometimes it's so popular you can't get in the door.

Being gluten free, food can be a struggle so I usually plan ahead. We were there on a business trip and completely hadn’t planned to be there that long. Found this little place last minute and saw they did gluten free options. Didn’t hold my breath, but they did a gluten free option for the breakfast with bread and sausages, and I nearly died from happiness. Usually breakfasts gluten free option is no bread or sausages and it’s usually a bit depressing. Not here it wasn’t. It was bloody lovely! Also, the lady at the front of house was absolutely lovely, had a laugh, but was professional and informative. Would definitely come again.

On an unexpected sunny day we took a stroll to walk the dogs. We walked up the old Ironstone Road, Chase Terrace and saw the sign for Bradshaw Butchers and read there was a tea room.

Called in to buy food from the shop. That I must say is a great place to get fresh produce of veg and meat ect all local I believe. Thought while there we would stop for something to eat . They had a great choice on menu for various meals and snacks. We decided to try their Breakfast's and they were lovely very tasty and good value. We will certainly be back.

Absolutely fantastic place. Food is freshly cooked, they use their own high quality produce from the attached farm shop and butcher which in itself worth a visit. The breakfast is legendary. Don’t come here expecting cheap food that is readily cooked. It’s fresh and quality

What a little gem of a place this cafe is! I visited with my family recently and had never been before so was unsure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised.

Just pleased I went for the standard traditional English breakfast. More than enough promptly served and more importantly everything was hot!

Came here for a treat for breakfast, the food came out fast and looked great. It was good value for money, but more importantly it was cooked to perfection and really tasty, clean plates all round even by our 5 year old. The Farm Shop was well worth the visit and we ventured out and fed the goats and horses. Can’t wait to return!

I’ve eaten here several times while passing at work, granted it isn’t the cheapest place around, however the food is amazing defiantly the best steak around

Initially I was a little shocked at how steep the prices are for the breakfasts.... however you get what you pay for and you certainly do here. The food was perfect, not just warm but also so fresh tasting and beautifully presented. Always very busy when I have been which I think is a very good sign. You can tell the food is home sourced and very fresh and that effort has gone into making it and it’s not just been thrown in a pan and then on to a plate. Although I said the prices are steep it is defo worth the money and I’m forever recommending this place to people. The decor is fresh and has that farm house quaint feel to it. This is a hidden gem that you wouldn’t expect on the outskirts of burnt wood.

Best breakfast around . Especially the sausages . A little bit more money than most cafes but this is a farm shop and the quality of the ingredients is much better . Wouldn’t go anywhere else now . The service is fast and efficient and always greeted with a smile .

If you want a good breakfast sarnie, you can’t do much better than Bradshaw cafe, the price is a bit hefty £5.50 for a best on toast but it is good quality stuff, they just need to cut their bread a bit thicker as my sandwich fell apart while I was eating and most of the filling ended up on the floor.

Took my daughter today. For a fun day on the farm. She’s very shy. So I weren’t sure how it would go. Well it couldn’t of gone any better. She didn’t want to leave non of the children in the group wanted to go. They brushed all the animals witch were all extremely friendly & very well looked after. They fed them. Collected the chicken eggs. Amongst a whole load of other fun things. They were given food & drinks. My daughter said we’re really nice. & she’s fussy. Staff were really friendly & helpful. We called in to the shop the meat vegetables & cakes looked amazing. Really fresh. Cafe was spotless. I can’t rate the place high enough. I wished we had heard of it at the start of the 6 week holiday. Definitely be going back. If your thinking of visiting or in the area please do call in you won’t be disappointed

I visited Bradshaw's farm shop with family members and have no become a regular eater at this farm. The food is awesome, the staff are great and very friendly, it is always a huge breakfast, and cooked perfectly. I went back a week later and had a full Sunday roast, that was even better than the breakfast. I would highly recommend Bradshaws for all food. I even bought some of the bacon and sausage and they were also delicious.

Having visited I am deeply concerned about the dog and rabbits at the farm. The dog is kept in a small metal 'run' with no toys etc. There were 2 bunnies in a hutch that is not big enough for a hamster let along 2 large rabbits. When I addressed my concerns with the manager I got sworn at. I have visited many times before but that is certainly the last. Horrendous attitude of the manager and not slightly interested in how they keep the rabbits, let alone they do not have any hay and a bad diet.

My friend and I have been here several times to meet up for a chat and a breakfast. We are never disappointed. The ingredients are always tasty and are of good quality. We have tried many local establishments and have been utterly disappointed especially when the food served is cold or luke warm At bradshaw's the food is always piping hot and that says it all to me. As an added bonus we love to see the animals on site and sometimes pick up something for tea from the farm shop. It may be a little bit more expensive than other places but we think it is worth the extra.

Had to try this place as it was recommend by so many. I thought the food was just ok (bit like a greasy spoon) if I'm honest. Found the farm shop really useful though and would return to grab a few bits but prob not go back to the cafe as found the cafes in Burntwood offer a bit better value...

After being recommended we thought we would go for lunch, beautiful homew made chips and that’s where it ends, I opted for the ploughman’s which listed freshly made 1/2 baguette, chutney, pickled onions and crackers as part of the meal instead I was served tangy pickled beetroot, a handful of crisps, no chutney and a 1/2 baguette which was definitely not freshly baked, there was no explanation for the different items and nobody bothered to ask if everything was ok even though it was quiet, it was dry and certainly not worth the money unfortunately I won’t be recommending and we won’t be going back.

Stopped here for a Latte during our walk. Unfortunately it was made with instant coffee. We had a small size which was tiny. Two mouthfuls and it was gone and at £2.50 expensive. For that money you can get a decent size cup and a real latte. It is a shame because this is a nice place, but would go to the other cafe next time.
