Oasis tribute Absolute fantastic, very busy but no problem with service. Nice atmosphere with all ages including children, no charge which was a bonus. We would of happily payed. Great time, strongly recommend 👍👊

First time we've been to this pub. True , it seems a bit of a locals pub if you know what I mean, but it's ok, good beer, good price and seems quite friendly. We didn't eat, but the restaurant area looks spot on so hopefully the foods good too.

Had dinner for two on Father’s Day and I have to say how impressed I was with the food and quality was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be going again.

We went afternoon about 1.30 Staff brilliant couldn't be more helpful. Lovely restaurant part. We thought it was going to be mega expensive. Very fair prices. Excellent. Food came out promptly We both had southern fried chicken and salad. Very nicely cooked and well presented Waitress attentive. But not pushy. It was quiet. But late tuesday afternoon expected. I would highly recommend. We shall definitely go again.

Came here for a pint mid bike ride and, just for that, I can’t fault it. Friendly staff, good old fashioned pub feel, beer garden, decent pint. What more could you want? It does seem more of a local pub for local people but that adds to the charm.

The very best pint of Guinness I have ever had in England. The place is ok and the service was good, cannot comment regarding the food as I only came in for a drink. The Guinness was simply superb. Poured properly and tasted so creamy and fantastic. Will be back to have that pint again

Menu was limited, but we expected that and didn't mind. We ordered Singapore Noodles, Lasagne and Classic Burger. The young Man serving us couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. He was a Star. We waited 43! Minutes for the Food to arrive and then 2 of the Dishes were awful. The Lasagne wasn't hot and the Pasta sheet at the bottom was dry. The Salad was wilted. The Beefburger was overcooked, even black and hard. The Singapore Noodles tasted lovely, but for a Main Course there was very little. It is a lovely Pub, but really! needs to do better!

Really disappointed today, we visited for lunch to be told food was off today. We have visited previously with out two dogs and the atmosphere of the pub was really relaxed and comfortable. Food was lovely. Such a shame today as we drove from Walsall to eat here. Maybe update the website when food isn't available might be helpful.

Really amazing staff behind the bar when I came!

To all the staff at The Fox & Hounds, I just want to say a BIG thank you to each and everyone of you that made our visit really special. We celebrated my sisters birthday and from the moment we walked in we felt really welcome. There was a birthday card on our table from the staff , our waiter was delightful and when the chef came out with a surprise birthday cheesecake and sang happy birthday, that was just brilliant and so unexpected! All your little touches made the evening perfect and the food was delicious too. I can highly recommend this pub and restaurant and if the opportunity arose, we would definitely return.

Visited for the first time late afternoon on New year's eve A nice little pub with friendly staff, decent food and portion size.

We popped into this place as we had not been in a while. I was the only person at the bar when I arrived and there was no member of staff available to serve so I waited my turn and fully expected to be served when the bar person arrived back. A “Local” subsequently joined me at the bar after a few minutes and when the bar lady arrived back she went straight to serve him first and then shouted to another local , who wasn’t even waiting at the bar to see if he wanted another beer and after this she served another round of drinks to another couple who where seated. So after I had been the only person at the bar she served three people in front of me. I ordered some food and was told it would be 30 mins but turned out to be 50 mins and it was not that busy. The bar lady, when she served us, was very friendly and polite. It is clear that if you are a local then you will get priority service and great attention. I was made to feel like an afterthought.

Excellent Guinness. Getting expensive at over £5 a pint

Frequented this public house for the first time when visiting the village. Great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly especially jack and chloe the owners. Would highly recommend, 5 star ⭐️

Nice well kept ales. Had a v nice good value lunch nicest fish and chips I have had anywhere for a long time. The barmaid was very personable and welcoming. Will definetly be going for a return visit.

An excellent service by the host Nadia what an amazing experience we will definitely be returning! Food by the chef was amazing more than enough for a lunchtime menu! Atmosphere very warm and welcoming from the locals I will look forward to going again which will be sometime very soon … much love to all the staff

It's a great restaurant but only one young lady serving she was over worked resulting in long delays serving

Popped yesterday,best fish and chips in a long time ,great little pub and lovely staff,well worth a visit

It was really packed, in bars but staff were just coping, watched food order go to kitchen, 3/4 hour later nothing only one other table they were eating starters & were served mains they appeared to be known by cook,when we chased told only one chief ,we were told 10 mins atleast 1/2 hour served by chief, apology for delay. Advised waitress when she came to table we had only just been served she walked off sayingnothing ! My wife said cod was greasy said old fat used & my peas were undercooked. I had veg burger didn't like it being Smothered in very Sweet chutney but thats a personal thing burger was great . No one asked if things were ok My beer had run out but but had a good alternative. No issues with bar staff very busy but not surprised not many dining. I realise places have difficulty getting staff but not a great experience. New hand dryer was brilliant but holes in wall & dirt along rail was off putting. Picture. Lost picture of undercooked peas .

Recently attended a birthday party at this venue, the food was quite simply excellent and plenty of it too, a great time enjoyed by one and all, thanks to Chloe and Mel for making everything work so very well.

A big thank you to Chloe and her team for hosting my birthday party. The venue was ideal for a private party 🎉 and the buffet food we ordered was superb 👌🏻. Everything was very well organised , many thanks to the team.

We stopped for a drink after a lunchtime walk round Shenstone, on a hot day. Sat outside and it was lovely and peaceful. The landlord chatted to us and was very welcoming and friendly

A great stop just 5 mins off the M6 toll to grab a snack and a drink. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I didn't eat the food so I can't comment on the food but it looks decent. Far better than stopping at a horrible service station.

A very nice place to meet friends and have a drink

We visited this pub in March 2019 and had a lovely meal about 3 weeks before it's food hygiene rating dropped from a 5 to a 1 and we had a lovely meal. We decided to go there again last night to see whether the pies were still as good and we were surprised to be the only people in there eating. We had a sharing platter starter which was ok, some parts lovely others not so but the pub prides itself on it's pies. We both had chicken, ham and leek pie and it was lovely, hot and fresh. My hubby had chips and I had mash both of which were hot and very tasty. It's a shame that the food hygiene rating is driving diners away and I do hope that they get their troubles sorted. I generally won't eat anywhere will a food hygiene rating lower than a 4 but I'm glad I took a chance because I those pies are amazing!

Popped into fox on New Years Day for a quick drink and to watch the football. Staff extremely friendly, great atmosphere with lovely touch of bar snacks/buffet put on for there customers to enjoy. Well worth a visit.

Sort Been meaning to do this a while a go, Oh god wish I knew before I booked place looks lovely but can't judge a book by its cover, I strongly believe management needs improving women blonde just needs replacing just why bother if you look so unhappy, food cold as hell but can't complain cause it would take longer so I dealt with it had a look to see what the place was and not eating their again I might die just trying to give some advise before u run pub to ground

We had a great festive lunch here today. Our friends said it was one of the best steaks they had had in a long time. We're going back next week for more. Thanks to you all for a lovely lunch time. Jenny xx

As I walked in the Fox with my family I asked for an ale , after a couple of sips I went back to the bar and asked for a fresh one . They rudely replied that it was a fresh barrel on today , I didn’t get a new one as a replacement. As I walked of disgusted as how they spoke to me i heard the 2 women that were working gossip about how there was nothing wrong with there beer. The one women looked older with blonde short hair very rude . I can now see why they are a 1 star rating .

Disgusted with the service received. The 1/5 extremely poor hygiene review is accurate. New management please? The lamb shank was phallic shaped (comical like the customer service) and was definitely from a boil in the bag!! The starter was clearly forgotten about while being deep fried in last weeks oil, no wonder we were ill. Do not venture into this establishment (if you can call it that) unless you want to lose a few pounds by firing from both ends. The management should change vocation before it’s too late, their attitude towards customers is appalling and watching them talk to the locals with little respect, and that’s just the management. The ‘common’ staff have little respect for new customers. Will avoid recommending, I’d even say warn people off. This has been added to group Facebook pages so please share, these inexperienced jokers shouldn’t be running a pub.

Great beer and friendly place to be

We went after a weekend away wending our way home , although the reviews were mixed we knew the pub from a while back so decided to go, good steak and ale pies and a delicious beef Bourguignon , sadly the macaroni cheese was late to the table after a kitchen mix up , but the lovely staff apologised, and certainly went over and beyond to compensate , will certainly re visit when ever we are in the area .

First time visit & will definitely go back! Called up in advance & they reserved a table for us in the perfect spot for watching football (awesome that they have BT & sky sports). All the staff were friendly & helpful. Warm atmosphere & good value for money for our mains, a highlight was the chips, beautifully cooked. I appreciated a good vegan option too. Only criticism is that the garlic bread was £2.45!!! Bit expensive for two slices.

Amazing time tonight staff and owners are absolute treasures

We went to this pub after searching for nice pubs in the area with BT sports, so we had high hopes. Arrived & it looked promising with a few signs outside saying what food they had on etc. We walked in to an awkward atmosphere and when we asked about food one of the women just said “kitchens closed” in a sharp tone so we left. No explanation of when it might be open or if it’s maintenance etc. It really felt like she wanted us to leave.

My sister and I took my grandad here for some dinner. We had scampi & chips, all day breakfast and gammon, egg and chips. We all really enjoyed our meals and the staff are very friendly, making us feel instantly welcome. Will definitely be returning.

Food is good but would advise that woman keep there husbands or boyfriends locked up one of the barmaids may start coming onto him but overall food is great

Me and my partner of 7 years went here for food and the bar woman kept chatting to my partner, he played for the local darts team there which the bar woman also worked for. They went for a night out the whole team where she clung to my partner like glue constantly trying to kiss him and him telling her he had a girlfriend which she already knew but she continued to chase him anyway throwing her self at him until he eventually gave in where she started sleeping with him and asking him to leave his girlfriend because she was in love with him. Ladies I wouldn’t take your partners there especially if they’re young lads cougar is on the prowl for any meat she can get.

After recently moving nearby we have enjoyed every visit so far. We have been made to feel very welcome and it feels like we are part of a community.

Family dinner for 5. Fish and chips - average size fish not as good as the railway but tastes fine. Gammon and egg - good size and OK. 2 burgers.... Really dry. How difficult is it to cook a burger correctly? Child's dinner looked like it came out of a frozen packet.

Had a meal and drinks. Today. With the Birmingham Ramblers. We were all very satisfied. Made us very welcome. NO Complaints .

Very pleasant ambience, good beer and attentive barstaff.

One of my 3 local pubs and food is usually good. Ordered 2 jacket potatoes and the first one came out with the wrong topping and the other prawn was, at best, like warm but I was so hungry I just ate it. The replaced jacket came out with the correct topping but was actually freezing in the middle. Clearly they use frozen jacket potatoes but the chef was unable to use the microwave correctly. Bar staff apologetic but if the chef can't cook a microwave potatoe there is no hope. Really wont eat here again for some time so its off to the Plough for food for the next few months

Disappointing , poor service , over cooked deep fried food .. Sent my steak back as it was raw and stone cold , was returned to me with a sarcastic comment by the staff .... wife was ill after eating her burger .. Guessing the chef was off and the KP did the cooking instead 🤮

went out in a group. landland from our local came with use but could not get served as forgot her I'd which put a bit of a damper on our night as she don't get out much

Decided to give my local pub a visit with a friend and see what I thought with new management.

I am going to start with the positives .The place is nicely done out inside and the staff were pleasant and the food was served hot. The food was disappointing. I appreciate things can go wrong but the starter was very overdone and three of my table mains come out within 3/4 minutes of each other but two did not for a while . We had to start eating or our food would have been warm rather than hot.

Very relaxed sandwiches burgers and meals

I had steak here and it was the best steak I ever had full of flavour cooked the way I liked it the staff was friendly and the people in the village was friendly lovely pub would definitely go their again I gave it five stars
