Nine of us visited this afternoon as a family and after 4/5 rounds of drinks (plus plenty of snacks) we were having a really nice time! Our young niece, a child, popped to the Co-op down the road for a packet of crisps. A simple “sorry but we don’t allow customers to bring their own food” would have sufficed and said packet of crisps would have been put away. But no, our entire afternoon was completely spoilt in a matter of seconds by an ignorant, horribly spoken man with ZERO customer service. I just wish we had encountered this man before we had put our money behind his bar. Shocking experience, we swiftly left the premises and were met with much kinder staff down at the Uxbridge arms.

This is one of the best pubs around burntwood that myself , family and friends visit throughout the year . The bar staff are amazing and are very friendly , the landlords are very approachable and friendly. They put on some good entertainment which is really great . We will be visiting today and meeting up with friends and some of the locals that visit here as well . I have not eaten here as I am not a pizza fan , however when they have taken them to tables they look amazing . I would recommend this pub to any one and to be fair you need to visit this pub and make your own minds up and not read reviews as you can make your own minds up but I can guarantee you will not be disappointed !!!!!!!!@

The pub was extremely cold and not particularly welcoming, can normally rely on Joules pubs but not this one unfortunately.

Myself and my family sat outside the front at 7.45pm on a sunday evening, there was no other customers near us, my 7 year old nephew was sat quietly playing on his iPad and then the drunk land lady stumbled out and told us to leave just after we’d just paid a for a drinks round for 8 of us! Disgusting won’t be back.

Friendly customer service and fantastic food. Offering a small selection of stone baked pizza’s is a great addition to this local, quirky pub. When I visited with a friend, there was a pub quiz on with the pub full and a good atmosphere all round. Nice outside space in the front and back which is perfect for summer. Would return and recommend 100%.

Excellent food, beer and service, what more do you want from a pub. Our first choice since restrictions lifted and it didn’t fail. Felt very safe and well organised. Friendly staff, delicious pizza as always. Highly recommend. Had a lovely family meal there in the glorious sunshine on Saturday afternoon couldn’t have been any better.

Ok this is a lovely looking pub from the outside but inside isn't so great. The beer which is plastered all over the decor is much to be desired, id give it a miss to be honest.

Astronomical prices! I called for a pint, only cider on was Somersby, it cost me £4.85 Dreadful place. No damn wonder it was empty, never again. Avoid, Wetherspoons is next door.

Really disappointing experience. We arrived at 4 o’clock and the pub was not busy at all, inside or out. Ordered the beef brisket sandwich with chips and a burger and chips and two soft drinks which came to just under £40. Waited 30 mins before the food came out. The beef brisket sandwich was very dry, the toasted bread was just hard like it had been sat under a heater for ages and the chips looked very brown and were hard and luke warm, again like they had just been sat under a heater for ages. And all dried out! The whole thing was odd because even looking at the chips you could see they looked awlful!!! The burger was just average, again the chips were just dry, hard and warm. We ended up asking for fresh chips which were bought out as we finished the rest of our meal….. these chips looked completely different (and better) than the first lot, with such a visible difference I don’t understand why neither the kitchen staff or waiter had thought the original chips were acceptable?! Neither of the meals were value for money and neither of them tasted good. It’s such a shame because the tame otter is in such a lovely setting! We would not visit here again for food.
