The best restaurants in Lichfield West Midlands

Absolutely love the food at King of Spice. We usually order to collect but decided to get it delivered this time. The food arrived on time, piping hot, just as delicious as when we collect. Portion sizes are good, lots to choose from and when you go inside the staff are great. Highly recommend, best curries in the area.

My husband ordered 2 small chips, one small fish and a peice of Roe. We were charged over £30 which we didn’t mind paying. However when we got home we found 2 large chips we didn’t ask for, a horrible flat small fish and the smallest Roe you’ve ever seen. He knew what he was doing as he had to cook it, knowing my husband had bobbed to the shop next door while he was waiting. Dirty trick and we won’t be going back!

Missed out a item on my order. I called them to say It hadn't been sent and they told me they would send another one out shortly. No one arrived. I won't be using these again. Shocking service.

Wonderful food and service was fantastic

Really disappointing experience. We arrived at 4 o’clock and the pub was not busy at all, inside or out. Ordered the beef brisket sandwich with chips and a burger and chips and two soft drinks which came to just under £40. Waited 30 mins before the food came out. The beef brisket sandwich was very dry, the toasted bread was just hard like it had been sat under a heater for ages and the chips looked very brown and were hard and luke warm, again like they had just been sat under a heater for ages. And all dried out! The whole thing was odd because even looking at the chips you could see they looked awlful!!! The burger was just average, again the chips were just dry, hard and warm. We ended up asking for fresh chips which were bought out as we finished the rest of our meal….. these chips looked completely different (and better) than the first lot, with such a visible difference I don’t understand why neither the kitchen staff or waiter had thought the original chips were acceptable?! Neither of the meals were value for money and neither of them tasted good. It’s such a shame because the tame otter is in such a lovely setting! We would not visit here again for food.

Great quality pub good as it says on the sign. Popped in on my way home from work for some dinner, and I was very satisfied and ready to go home without the worry of cooking. Thank you for the service!

Brilliant food and service, my wife has an allergy to egg and they were fantastic with ensuring this was taken seriously. No issues with waiting for service in-between courses for drinks despite being sat outside. The food was so good, 10/10 visit.

Very disappointed, normally excellent. Birthday lunch, food wasn’t up to the usual standard, asked to vacate the table after 90 minutes. Won’t be back in a hurry

I am a regular at the pub, I have to say I always leave good reviews, but this one isn’t . Food was poor , steak tough , chips cooked in old oil so not good , waiting times an hour between courses and smaller portions than usual , I won’t go back

always a nice night to be had at lee garden food is out of this world and service great but i do wish they wouldn't ask for tips when you come to pay.z we always give a tip but to be asked is just quite annoying .

Went to the Crown for coffee and cake with our Tai Chi group. All beautifully done, gorgeous cake, lovely presentation, usual great service, and all for £6 - really enjoyed it - thanks guys 👏

As a family of four, we entered the Cafe during our stroll through Lichfield. It has been recommended to us and we have not been disappointed. Our cream tea was delicious and the open warm smile of our waiter gave us an immediate welcomed feeling. As a foreign family, we were interested in the history of the house and the make of the tea and the young man who served us, helped out with all our questions in an extremely kind way. We all four can recommend this place to tourist but I guess it is just as much loved by locals. Thanks xxxx

I have to be honest - I’ve ordered from Toluca tonight. Half the order didn’t show up. They didn’t pick up the phone. They called back said sorry ask for a refund but they weren’t interested in delivering the food. That’s all we wanted. Never ordering again!
