A super place! We stayed down the road and visited on our first night in Yarpole. We were welcomed so warmly, fab atmosphere, delicious food and super helpful staff. We plan to return and would recommend.
Staff welcoming.
Portions sizes are good.
Main courses were tasty.
Dessert was a disappointment for me the Gooseberry crumble was burnt and inedible.
Prices differ from the menu, the receipt and online. Check this before paying.
Floors are very greasy and ladies toilet flush broken.
However we still had a pleasant evening and came away full and reasonably happy.
We have just been for the christmas party menu as a group of 14 and it was faultless. Amazing food (all 3 courses) and plenty of it!! Even had the christmas tree up and christmas music to make it special. Cannot thank you enough for a lovely evening

What a brilliant traditional country pub.
Watched the six nations.the most happy professional staff I've come across.
Emma brilliant. Can't do enough for you.
Thanks for a great time.
The ambience of this pub is simply amazing, the staff and the customers are just so friendly, they make the whole experience one to remember.
To top it all, the quality of the food on the menu is just amazing, real home cooked food at a very reasonable price.
Sue and staff provided a cheerful atmosphere within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.
A good selection of home made cakes and a good hot brew of tea. A well organised menu that changes each week.
The Bodega will soon change hands.
How lucky were we to have this lovely pub close to our holiday cottage. On each visit we experienced a warm welcoming atmosphere. The bar meals look good…we can confirm that they do a cracking Sunday lunch. Thank you to Claire & the team for making us feel welcome.
First time we've been here, didn't look like much on approach but it's a lovely spot, with good facilities for food and drink. Obviously popular and deservedly so.
A very convenient stop off on our journey. However we had 2 cheese and chutney rolls and 2 drinks. The bill came to over £17. We thought a mistake had been made, especially as we were taking to food back to the car. The lady behind the counter double checked the bill but said it was correct. One of the drinks was a niche market type but the other was black coffee. We thought it expensive, especially as the rolls were dry and dense and the grated cheese spilled everywhere. I think we'd be hard pressed to stop there again.
Another wonderful meal, without a doubt the best restaurant of this type in the area. Have been several times and always the same great standard unlike a lot of places where the food isn’t consistent.
A very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of cask ales. Well presented and hot, tasty meals. Home cooked lasagne much enjoyed. Seafood platter delicious.
