Sue and staff provided a cheerful atmosphere within easy walking distance of the Cathedral. A good selection of home made cakes and a good hot brew of tea. A well organised menu that changes each week. The Bodega will soon change hands.

A brew and slice of cake hit the right spot after a chilled walk alongside the river Wye. The river was quite full with tree debris washed hard up against the stone work. An airy cafe down from the cathedral, with very cheery staff and a good menu too. I shall gradually work my way down the list of cakes on offer next time we visit. So pleased we called in, a refreshing change from the more commercial cafes in the High town area.

Really lovely little cafe with a great atmosphere and very friendly, helpful staff. We went for a post-Cathedral visit lunchtime snack in the new era of ‘eat out to help out’ - which we’d forgotten about - and found this charming little local cafe. The layout is COVID secure, and the staff were scrupulous about making sure they, and we, adhered to the latest rules. Everything we ordered was not only beautifully cooked, but carefully presented and clearly very fresh. Superb food, lovely friendly staff and they even had Classic FM on the radio. Perfect! Incredible value, too, especially with the new offer on as a result of the COVID initiative. Highly recommend visiting to support this great little cafe.

Well worth a visit. We had breakfast on 2 occasions. They had been open again after ‘lockdown’ for approx 2 weeks and had obviously worked VERY hard in setting out the cafe safely for all. The cleanliness has been taken seriously. Hand sanitiser on each table. The ladies are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food and service. A popular cafe for local people, which is a good sign. Thank you to everyone involved in making our visits safe and welcoming.

I was visiting Hereford and decided to try here for lunch. I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff and served quickly. I opted for the Canarian Chicken. It arrived quickly and was served with a tasty fresh salad, coleslaw and a slice of bread. Everything was very tasty indeed. I had coffee with it and then a slice of the brownie. The brownie was soft and sticky in the middle with just a little crunch on the outside. It was just right. The coffee for me was the only let down. Its not a criticism of the coffee just my personal taste, for me it was served too hot and did not have enough 'bite' to it. The price was reasonable. I will definitely go back when I return to Hereford in the future.

Cafe Bodega has become our favourite stop for coffee and a snack in Hereford. The coffee has a great chocolate taste and is not bitter at all. The cafetière gives a generous 2 cups. If we have a cake the squidgy brownies are great and the scones always fresh. Only one small niggle, if you order toast whilst the toast is great, it doesn’t always come with the coffee, so I have drunk coffee by then. Old guy with habits, sorry. Service always friendly and happy. Great to support local business in great location

Lovely café situated close to the Cathedral which gives excellent views of the sunset reflecting on the stained glass windows. I felt compelled to write this review as the owners went above and beyond the normal service you might expect from a local café. The café owner stayed open for an extra hour whilst my elderly parents waited for a lift and as they both have mobility issues this was a kind act . Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietor bringing over extra serviettes etc. In terms of the cuisine my Dad particularly enjoyed the homemade scone and the cappuccino. Would wholly recommend the friendly and personal service.

We have only just started using this place as it is close to where we live. We have been twice recently for s light lunch. Very welcoming , nice staff. I don't think one could find a nicer Quiche, salads well prepared . Most recent visit i tried the meat balls in a sauce . They were very good , the sauce was really very good, BUT , Salad and cold small new potatoes do not go well with a hot dish like that . It would be fine with some hot potatoes and vegetables. I asked for some bread to mop it up , the lady said i was not the first to ask and also some people had asked for a spoon , not to waste the gorgeous sauce. It is reasonably priced and a nice no choice red or white wine available again reasonably priced. One little niggle I was charged 70p for half a slice of granary bread , I noted on my bill afterwards. We will certainly be going back and recommending it to our friends . You couldn't do much better for a nice light lunch at a good sensible price.

Sort of half cafe and half tapas bar, with choice of 3 tapas dishes which are served with salad, potatoes and coleslaw (unlike other tapas restaurants you are meant to chose one of these). Also had a selection of 3 dips and warm pitta bread whilst waiting. ... and a glass of house wine, either merlot or pinot grigio, which were pretty good. The tapas was really tasty, and was surprisingly filling. I absolutely love being in this place and it has a beautifully calm feel. However I am totally astonished by the dolls-house size servings for lunch- at normal lunch prices. I almost asked them if they hadn’t accidentally given me a kiddie’s portion - for a cheaper price- as for over £9 I got two slices of delicious small rye toast, about 7 very small lettuce leaves, 4 olives and a small pot of delicious dip. All very tasty but absolutely not a main course. I know I these are locally sourced ingredients but this felt really wrong. I will definitely return for post lunch coffees but will make sure to eat somewhere else where I can fuel up for lunch before hand.

Pleasant surroundings outside, unfortunately the food was not too a very high standard. Ham and piccalilli sandwich, ham tasteless (wafer thin and breaded, supermarket family pack springs to mind). Should have been advertised as a Piccalilli sandwich, Coffee was fine.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied but not too much choice. We opted for jacket potato and a flat bread. Fresh and well presented.

Been to this lovely pub for Sunday lunch many times, never disappoints. Everything about this place is positive from the lovely friendly staff who can't do enough for you. It is a welcome throwback to how a local pub used to be, a real gem, long may it continues.
