Attended the music session on Monday evening as a visitor to Hereford. Lovely welcome at the bar from the owners. The music group were so friendly and welcoming. They went around the room one by one, the other musicians joined in if appropriate or not. Guitars, melodeon, banjo, singing and poetry. Really lovely. A lovely old pub with lots of history. Plenty of room for non musicians to sit nearby and just listen in.

This place is the perfect example of a real pub. Lots of ales on offer, plus the usual beer and cider selection. Enough gin for my wife too :) We come for a cheese cob, a pork pie, a quiz, and on a Tuesday - the epic cheese night !! Its now my favourite Tuesday night 😂 Malc and Kath have made some lovely changes here that make you feel more welcome and Nic is a star behind the bar. 6/5 !

Anybody reading these reviews.. please ignore the terrible one - as this was written before cath and malc took over this year! And since then this pub has been amazing! Such a nice vibe, lovely owners, friendly staff and just a wholesome place to drink. It’s got elements of a traditional pub such as cob rolls and pork pies which are honestly to die for! So much so, we ordered them in for ourselves for our picnic the next day! There’s a regular pub quiz which is always good fun, with regulars and non regulars. This pub is great as it is inviting for everyone. Lovely bit outside too for when we get the occasional sunshine! They’ve got a nice set of games too which is always handy when you’ve ran out of conversation with your other half haha. Variety of drinks are good too :) lovely lovely place!!!!

A good selection of drafts that are displayed on a monitor. Very easy to select what you want. They have food, but I'm not sure if it's a full menu. Simply the best and only undisputed ale-house in the whole of Hereford! Their quality and quantity of ales is unrivaled within both Hereford city centre, and the wider Herefordshire. The owners (Nick and Lisa), and all the remaining staff operate attentively, and efficiently - enhancing the already established reputation of this fine public house. The Orange Tree seems to inadvertently create a strong community-feel through the way in which they operate - a consensus you will unfortunately struggle to find elsewhere. Hats off to those at the Orange Tree; and a big thank you for all that you do for your customers :)

Reasonable Real-Ale; minus the Riff-Raff! The Orange Tree holds the mantle for the premier Public House in Hereford. Quite simply; (Citra) Sublime! A go-to for any pub gallivanter. Working within the trade, this is the only pub within Hereford I will comfortably defer our customers to. Chins up, OT!

I absolutely love being in this place and it has a beautifully calm feel. However I am totally astonished by the dolls-house size servings for lunch- at normal lunch prices. I almost asked them if they hadn’t accidentally given me a kiddie’s portion - for a cheaper price- as for over £9 I got two slices of delicious small rye toast, about 7 very small lettuce leaves, 4 olives and a small pot of delicious dip. All very tasty but absolutely not a main course. I know I these are locally sourced ingredients but this felt really wrong. I will definitely return for post lunch coffees but will make sure to eat somewhere else where I can fuel up for lunch before hand.

Pleasant surroundings outside, unfortunately the food was not too a very high standard. Ham and piccalilli sandwich, ham tasteless (wafer thin and breaded, supermarket family pack springs to mind). Should have been advertised as a Piccalilli sandwich, Coffee was fine.
