The best restaurants in Alvechurch Bromsgrove West Midlands

We booked a table for last night at 8pm and arrived on time to sit at a nice 4 seater table and our drinks order was taken. We then had another couple sit on the table next to us and there food and drinks order was taken. We then were sat there half an hour later with the menus still in front of us and the table next to us had received there mains. We finally ordered our food just after half 8 and our starters came quickly and our mains shortly after, nobody came and asked if the food was ok or if we required anything else and when we had finished our mains sat at the table with our finished plates for around 20 minutes before being collected. If the service had been better we would have ordered more drinks and also dessert, however instead we left unimpressed due to the service.

What a delicious meal we had yesterday evening! Steak and kidney pie for him, fish pie for her, both served with hot seasonal vegetables. Delighted to see traditional pub grub back on the menu, and in generous value-for-money portions.

Easy free parking outside, nice decor inside and helpful staff. Sat and worked inside for an hour, reliable WiFi and good range of food on the menu. Terrace out the front is a nice place to sit on a warm day - would recommend!

Limited menu, slightly expensive. Food is very good quality, large portions. Lovely view over the 18th hole

Visité aquí por primera vez el domingo 12 de enero con nuestro yerno Steve. Bueno, qué lugar tan fabuloso, personal amable, feliz y acogedor que no podía hacer lo suficiente para usted. Todo el mundo es tan eficiente en lo que hace y tan limpio. El Sunday Roast fue hermoso y un montón de él también. Definitivamente voy a volver! Gracias Shaz & Nigel xx

An absolute shambles for breakfast. They advertise a full English but if you want a sausage sandwich which my 3 yr old daughter did, we were told the chef will serve 2 sausages on a plate and two pieces of bread on another which we then had to make ourselves. The sausages were very poor quality and were clearly put in a deep fat fryer and turned to mush, disgusting. It's clearly a no pork / halal venue which is fine but the bacon isn't labelled as bit being pork , so the eggs benedict was a let down. Coffee were made 20 mins after then were ordered and the food took 45 minutes, which is a long time as we were the only people there. Awful experience.

No pasó mucho tiempo para que todo llegara (15 minutos como máximo) La comida estaba muy buena y caliente. Burger era agradable, patatas fritas crujientes y aros de cebolla crujientes también. Lo único que me desanima de este lugar es la decoración. Es tan oscuro y siempre se siente un poco lúgubre en algunas áreas. La alfombra también necesita ser rasgada. ¡Arregle el lugar con algunos colores brillantes! Aparte de eso, todo lo demás estaba bien. Servicio agradable?

The cake was stale, most of my requests were out of stock, and the service was slow for a drive thru. Don’t bother.

This is my local. We have not been for a while as it has felt like it has sadly declined over the last couple of years. This is based on the fact that I had 3 consecutive occasions where they didn't have clean wine glasses and I was served it in a tumbler. (Please know, this is a small example of many other issues we had had). Anyway, decided to walk down the canal and give it another go tonight - what a disaster! 6pm on a Sunday and it was out of control. This is a lovely pub, in a great location with so much potential and it was emptied by 3 people who were loudly claiming they knew the owner, threatening to, and I quote "slap the barmaid" and refusing to leave. I've been in a few dives in my time and I can honestly say this was one of the most hostile experiences I'd had. There were 4 of us and we left our drinks and exited (as did, literally every other table) - making sure the poor bar staff were OK on our way out. The staff were amazing but were equally as frustrated by not having appropriate support from management. I'm gutted. This is a potentially lovely pub that just seems abandoned!

Dismall and expensive like most services

The dining area was very cold so we had to keep our coats on. Not the relaxed dining experience that we had hoped for. The food was ok and helped to warm us up a little. Used the toilets after the meal. Gents was very smelly. Strong odour of urine as soon as the door was opened. Floor surrounds and lower walls were very dusty with cobwebs and stale dried pee. It was obvious that it had been a very long time since they were last cleaned properly. My wife reported that the ladies toilets were also far from clean. Clearly both toilets need a deep clean. Had we used the toilets first we would have gone elsewhere for lunch. It is said that you judge the kitchen by the standard of the toilets.

Starbucks: Totally bloody awful. Food cold, coffee gross. In future would go somewhere else - Even KFC and that is as bad.
