Lovely friendly place to go for coffee or lunch. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and always happy to help us move tables to fit us in when we visit with our babies and prams! Great food, reasonable prices and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend, made to feel very welcome.

Went there on a Saturday with my wife worst place I have been for years,sat down cups and plates left on table from previous customers waitress ignored us for 20 minutes so I went up to the counter lady said she would be over to take our order still no one come,young waitress took other people’s orders who come in after us so we told her we come in first she took our drinks order we cleaned our own table of the cups and plates from previous customers waited another 10 minutes for the drinks still nothing,a couple behind us was waiting as well we decided to go and told the lady at the counter to cancel our drinks she didn’t seem bothered in the slightest and the other couple left as well, never again surprised it’s still open.Rude Staff.

Popped in for breakfast on a quiet Wednesday morning. We like it for the fact its dog friendly, relaxed and welcoming. We had 2 x Morso full breakfasts and a half breakfast. Lovely ingredients, cooked nicely, tasted great, promptly served. Superb coffee. The place soon filled up as the morning went on. Really enjoyed. Great staff, polite and very efficient, plan to go back very soon. Well done Morso

We visited the cafe for breakfast following a canal boat holiday, Aaliyah served us and nothing was too much trouble, food was lovely and the cafe is really reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend.

Rude staff! Asked for a sandwich for lunch and was told they were still serving breakfast only as they had too many orders. Then asked to order a smoothie and was told they only did mango ones (there were 6 others on the menu). The staff were so rude and dismissive. First and last time here. Shan't be coming back.

We visited this cafe as we were hungry and the local pub didn't serve food. Our gain, nice choice of reasonably priced food and drink. Alcohol available, free Wi-Fi, nice choice of beverages. Huge portions on the side dishes!

Appalling. Tea arrived in a dirty cup and saucer, teapot was also filthy. Sandwich ordered as a vegetarian sausage on soft sandwich, arrived on a brioche bun. £4 for two sausages cut in half and zero accompaniments. When cut in half, there were blue fibres inside the bun. I cancelled the order. Make your own decisions, but I shan’t be coming back.

This place very much depends on who’s working that day, I will only enter if Michelle is working that day, hot coffee positive vibes and smiley friendly atmosphere. Can’t fault it. Then there’s the other lady who is terrible ! Coffee comes when she is ready, and so rude honestly terrible attitude ! So some days 5 stars others none ! My advice look through the window first if the blonde lady is working then go in if not go elsewhere.

So much improved since reopening. Been consistently good service this summer and we had a lovely salad for lunch today - reasonably priced for what it was.

We enjoyed a very tasty lunch of grilled halloumi salad with the best sweet potato fries we have ever tasted! The coffee was also excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Been here loads of times and the food is always great, staff friendly and the location is ideal. There’s a nice range of drinks and food which is all very reasonably priced.

Its about time as operators you relinquished your lease and allowed an operator with passion take over the site. Cold coffee, filthy toilet that doesn't flush, terrific staff turnover, and cold fatty bacon sandwiches. Please don't blame your staff, there not with you long enough.

The last review that I read for this café mentioned amazing staff and service. As I regularly visit Alvechurch, i thought it worth trying Mørso. ‘Amazing staff and service’ was far from my experience. As I entered I asked the young lady (who was sweeping) whether I should sit at a table. She answered, ‘yes’. I sat down. She continued sweeping. At that point I was happy to sit and wait. After a short while a man entered and went to the counter. She continued sweeping until she had finished the task, whereupon she went to the counter, took the man’s order, and proceeded to prepare his order. At this point I gave up.

Lovely staff, amazing atmosphere and music playing - would definitely come again after such good service ! 100% recommend if you’re looking for a coffee date.

A very welcome hour out of the rain enjoying delicious food in a relaxed, clean and friendly cafe. Coffees (americanos, flat white & latte) and food (BBQ burgers and mushroom stack) all excellent. Very efficient staff. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. This cafe is a joyous place to sit and enjoy great drinks, yummy cakes and offers great quality food suitable to all! We recently visited the area and stumbled upon Morso and what a delight. We enjoyed drinks and breakfast a few days in a row and then booked for a large family breakfast. Adam was hugely accommodating and ensured the booking complied with relevant government guidelines. We pre ordered our food via email and were seated and fed in excellent time. The staff deserve special note as they were friendly, helpful and very accommodating - we hope to visit again soon.

We visited the newly refurbished Cafe Morso yesterday for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was exceptional and so was the coffee. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and a really relaxing atmosphere. We will certainly return again!

Visited for lunch on the way back home from a trip away. They have just re-opened. The general manager Adam couldn’t be more helpful. And the grilled tuna sandwich was the best grilled sandwich I had ever had. The bread was refreshingly light and the tuna was full of flavour with added cheese and red onion. Also happy to contact us with future events. Great to see it back open!

Stopped in for the first time yesterday whilst property searching with my daughter. What a great place! So relaxed and welcoming, Planned on a short stop for coffee but morphed into a much longer stay with cake.... How could we not? choice and quality was excellent but nothing to the service we received from Adam! Look out for Adam when you stop by, excellent waiter and really nice guy. Made us feel really welcome, great service without being intrusive. left feeling like we made a new friend. Would recommend this little haven to everyone, , will definitely be our new "go to" choice...

Found this place by chance in between two house viewings. Adam the manager was really attentive, found us a great table and made us feel really welcome. We enjoyed Eggs Benedicts and the Morso breakfasts along with fabulous coffee’s. The cafe was very clean, toilets immaculate and the food was delicious! Looking forward to revisiting this little place, maybe when they extend their opening hours into the evening, might drop in for a G&T then.

Well what a superb place with easy parking to the front and a decked outside area as well.We sat inside and had a very delicious breakfast hot teas and an excellent flat white.The place is very nicely decorated and has a warm relaxing atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient even giving our pooch a doggy biscuit!

We stopped off here for a coffee break.... The coffee and walnut cake was delicious and I highly recommend it, hubby had apple flapjack, which was equally as delicious. We were served at our table, we chose to sit outside, there is inside seating available too. The chap who served us made us feel very welcome and it felt like we were regulars. If you’re passing through this little cafe is well worth a visit.

Recently had lunch and coffee here twice since it’s re-opening last week! We were so impressed by the friendly staff and were even greeted by the chef who came out to talk to us! They were also very accommodating to our request for dairy free produce for a child. It will definitely be our regular go to cafe!!

We were served by such a lovely waiter - he honestly couldn’t do enough and was so chatty and friendly. We had two different toasted sandwiches and shared them and they were both delicious. Great coffee too.

We were driving through Alvechurch on our way into Redditch, and noticed this cafe was open and had a seating area outside. So we decided to stop for a coffee, we would normally visit a main coffee chain when we're out and about. So glad we decided to stop, really friendly service and great tasting coffee. Will definitely be returning and looking forward to when they begin opening in the evening so we can give the food a try.

The food is lovely here but it does lack atmosphere unfortunately. There only ever seems to be one person working and they always seem to be in a bit of huff. Despite this I cannot fault their coffee and breakfast choices!

This cafe should be brilliant - it has been historically - but now it is just sad, neglected and disappointing. There never seem to be enough staff. I have just been refused service - despite there being a table - as they’re already too busy!! I only wanted a coffee and cake but was told I couldn’t have them as it would be over 20 minutes. Had great service in the Barnt Green branch yesterday - but a shame Alvechurch is consistently rubbish.

Popped in here recently and what a difference a year makes. There was no welcome as there had been the previous time I visited and the cafe was grubby, the floor had debris scattered around and two tables stayed uncleared for the duration of my visit (1 1/2 hrs). I did however hear lots of lovely conversation between the two members of staff.Cafe Morso, you need to get your act together, what a disappointment and in such a prime location too.

Ok - today we gave them the benefit of the doubt after our previous cold food experience. Dropped in for a coffee on a rainy Sunday afternoon and ordered at the bar. When 25 minutes had passed without any sign of staff serving anyone else, we gave up and left. That is just the last straw.....

Visited for first time yesterday with a friend from the North West. Lovely coffee, lovely cake, lovely staff. Thoroughly recommended!

We have been here a few times recently after walking our dog along the nearby canal towpath.Staff here are friendly and the cafe has a nice atmosphere to it.The menu is limited, with a few breakfast items and s few mains but the food I’ve had here was very nice.The dog is always very chilled here and coffee is always very nice, alcoholic drinks are also available.Cafe Morso are a small chain of Cafes with other outlets in Colwall, Bromsgrove, Droitwich & nearby Barnt Green. I assume they all have a dog friendly policy and I’m pretty sure I’ll find out soon enough.

It's great to have a nice local cafe to meet friends for breakfast when we fancy something cooked. I can recommend their eggs royale, always beautifully poached on lovely toasted muffins.

Called in for a light lunch and we found the place almost empty. Having eaten here regularly in the past we have become a little disappointed with rising prices and smaller breakfasts. However today will be our last visit - 45 minutes wait for 2 baked potatoes, both stone cold when they arrived! With other good options nearby and only a moderate hygiene rating, we’ll avoid Morso in future.....

Cosy local coffee house. Well situated in the centre of the village, serving a small variety of heallthy food, including a belly bursting full english. Cosy & accomodating with friendly staff and tasty food.

On arrival I could not find a clean table, looks as if the tables get cleaned at the end of the day if that. Service was very slow considering the place was empty at 1pm on a Sunday which gave me plenty of time to look around and notice that the whole place could do with a scrub down. You are serving food, you should be spotless at the prices you charge (2x breakfast and 2x drinks £18)

Visited this cafe on a Tuesday. It was a miserable day with the rain, but we received a very warm welcome from the two young gentlemen that were working. We ordered two lattes and two breakfast. Both the coffees and food was delicious. Very glad we decided to stop off here, and we are sure to return! Couldn’t fault a thing

Having visited this cafe in the past , I feel there's been a change somewhere. Unfortunately, not for the best. We had breakfast here several months ago and the quality standard and service were all good. However, our recent couple of visits have been, sadly, disappointing.

My mother in law lives locally and I take her to lunch here - why I continue to waste my money is beyond me. In 4 years I think I've had one meal which actually had all the ingredients listed on the menu for the dish e.g. smoked salmon, capers and beetroot - sounds lovely doesn't it? Asked for the dish without onions, it came with chunks of carrot (chunks you would put in a stew) no beetroot, no capers and god awful balsamic dressing and spring onions, and a piece of salmon which had skin on and was so thick I couldn't cut it with my knife (I appreciate that these are first world problems!!!) I asked why there wasn't any beetroot/capers and had the reply 'we haven't got any'. the cafe only has about 10 dishes on the menu WHY is it so difficult to buy the ingredients???

Visited on a Monday afternoon to kill some time before meeting a friend, told to wait at any table and lady would be over to get order. 10 minutes gone and nothing, when she eventually came over it was all ok. The two girls very much prefer chatting than attending to customers, several dirty tables around me also

Saturday 21/7 very busy, no seats available, once seated breakfast arrived, very nice, presented well, well worth the money, lovely atmosphere, definitely going back.

We go here a lot and it's generally nice for a coffee or light lunch but the service is very hit and miss and seems to be getting worse. Today we waited an hour and a half for breakfast, which was pretty ordinary, the staff were unapologetic and seemed annoyed with us for asking where the food was. To top it off as we paid, the waitress then accused my wife of not paying when we were last in, which we of course had, and had the debit card receipt to prove. I like the place but this was terrible customer service, which has cropped up on a few recent reviews here, and the staff were downright rude.

Popped in for Breakfast - Café Morso sign taken down outside so not sure if this is still café Morso?? anyway ordered 2 coffees, sausage sandwich and eggs benedict. Coffees fine, food came out was awful, eggs benedict ….the hollandaise was disgusting tasted like salad cream?! poached eggs looked dreadful too, ham on the muffin was like cheap wafer thin ham also tasted very odd. My husbands sausage sandwich (which they claim to use "Lashfords sausages" for on the menu) came out with Richmond sausages on which are obviously a lot cheaper and thinner - but they should not be claiming to use Lashfords when they are clearly using cheaper sausages!! Not worth the money and wont be going back!

Quiet when we arrived, so was served quickly. Stayed for a coffee & ordered a brie, bacon & cranberry sandwich. Tasty food & a good chat with the manager. Left with an ice cream 🍦. Would return when in the area again.

Luke warm jacket potato with ONE tablespoon of beans and HALF a tablespoon of cheese. No butter. I asked for more beans and cheese. Plate was taken away and 10 minutes later once everyone else had eaten their meals it came back with a normal amount of cheese and beans, on the now stone cold potato which had huge sprouting ‘eyes’ sticking all over it as it was old. Husband couldn’t have a burger meal as no burger buns (despite shop open across the road). His tuna, sweetcorn and cheese panini had no cheese in it. Was a relief to get out of there. Won’t be returning.

Popped in for a drink with family visiting from the states. Great friendly service. Most amazing chocolate milkshakes. Unfortunately my family from the states don’t have trip advisor but state the milkshakes are better than they get back home!

Love the eggs royale, husband had the full. The service was a bit slow that day because the chef was late. Overall this place is a great find in a small village.

Popped in here for breakfast after leaving our boat at Alvechurch marina. I had the ‘Full Morso’ breakfast and it was lovely especially the black pudding cooked perfectly and not over cooked as so many places do. Wife had the poached eggs with avocado and a latte whilst the mother in law had smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast with a pot of tea. Both thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

Stopped in here at 3pm for a coffee and a cake. Have been here once before and love the venue and it's decoration.

I go to cafe morso every month without fail and every month they have given me a good meal with nice food and a smile on their face. Today started off with a grumpy waitress who glared at me when i asked for some chips and normally when my chips come i get a normal sized bowl full of chips wich i would expect to pay £3 for. When my chips came today they were in two tiny bowls half full and i politley went up to the till to ask if these chips were still £3 because they are a quater of the size i normally get and she said “yes £3 each please” she was also very rude to us and i would not recommend going there me and my friends will now be looking for a new cafe to go to every month so they have missed out on some good customers but their loss i guess :/

Ordered eggs benidict x 2 and 2 hot chocolates - food came before drinks and was cold and poor quality. Drinks turned up by this time we tasted the bland food and decided to leave. Poor service and food. Will not return

Always amazing food everytime we go and an extensive menu so great for fussy eaters or those on special diets too.

Visited on a Saturday morning whilst staying nearby.The cafe was busy and is not very big-we had to wait for a table.Breakfast fare was cooked freshly and enjoyable.Service was prompt and helpful.I am unable to comment on the menu other than the breakfast offering.

My partner and I decided to meet up with my parents for a coffee and discovered that Barnt Green cafe morso was shut instead we came to alvechurch before going on a walk. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service but most of all the atmosphere. The atmosphere is much better than Barnt Green and the drinks were made perfectly and I have had problems before with the Barnt Green chain. I will most definitely be a frequent visitor.

Just popped in for a business meeting. The staff were quite unresponsive and unmotivated. I had not been in before due to receiving a similar level of service some time ago at the Morso Cafe in Barnt Green. Sorry, but could be better

I’ve wanted to pop in here for ages and finally managed it today. A very cost place on this cold and windy day. Two pots of tea and a burger meal and a fish finger sandwich. All made to order and the burger seemed home made and the meals were plentiful, see picture attached.

We've been here many times over the past few years and it's been fine. Unfortunately today was a complete let down. I'm not sure if they are new staff but I didn't recognise them. Four of us visited for a light lunch and were initially the only customers so they weren't busy when we arrived. Neither of the two members of staff at the counter spoke to us or offered us a menu, we had to get our own. I ordered a Tuna Sweetcorn and Cheese sandwich on brown bread, two of our party ordered a bowl of Fries each. What they brought was two sandwiches (one was returned to the kitchen) and one plate of Chunky Chips which they placed in front of my father with one set of cutlery. We had to chase up the second portion but when the waitress checked with the kitchen staff she said the chips Were two portions. I pointed out that in that case as they were for different people we would need another plate and more cutlery she didn't bring them just shrugged and walked away. I then realised that the sandwich was Tuna Only so went to the counter where I was told I'd ordered the wrong thing from the menu (there is no tuna only option on the menu). When I said I'd like the sweetcorn and cheese the waitress said she'd ask the chef to ADD EXTRA.
