Myself and my family visited here for Christmas Day 2024. Paying £105 per person and £50 for my 7 year old son. Myself and my son tripped on some unlevel flooring, and the manager proceeded to laugh and say ‘how many drinks have you had’. There was no apology, or concern, and also no sign or warning for the unlevel flooring. The ‘king prawn starter was not king prawns, it was a very small glass with small prawns and 1 king prawn. No table cloths, candles, nothing. My son’s starter arrived 30 minutes after the adults starters. Very basic, mediocre dinner. We unfortunately expected more for Christmas Day and especially paying the prices we did. Certainly won’t be returning. Very disappointed.
Superb meal at the Yumi Yumi. Quality service and above all consistency. I hadn't been in for a number of years but if anything better than I remember. 5 big Stars.

Food luke warm and had hairs on the pizza. Didn't come out together either, park was locked and staff didn't know why so all kids were jumping the fence. Place was under staffed for the amount of people there - felt quite sorry for the staff TBH they were doing their best.
Really enjoyed our tea and scones here. The other food coming out looked and smelt good. Will be coming back to this cosy little gem! It gets full because it’s so good!
Had the misfortune to dine here recently on a night they had live music in the outside bar area. Food was awful, service was awful. We were told on arrival that they should not have taken our booking and the kitchen was closing soon so we were rushed. With hindsight we should have left and tried elsewhere. Never again

I was passing through Shrewsbury, and havent been to the town itself before when I came across The Wheatsheaf so stopped for a drink. Staff and customers could see I wasnt a local or from the area, meaning that when I stood at the end of the bar to be served, the staff served two other customers who walked straight in front of me. Very clicky vibe based on regular trade only, putting limitations on what could be a great town centre boozer.
The food here was of excellent quality and came quickly. Prices reasonable and lovely pub atmosphere. Would definitely recommend as they allow dogs too to visit.
