Yumi Yumi Evesham in Wychavon

What a poor show. If you say you are open on a Monday at 5:00 pm then you should be open on a Monday at 5:00 pm. We came on the recommendation of friends and were looking forward to it. We travelled a few miles only to be disappointed.

What a little gem of a find! The food was excellent! The flavours of the dishes we've never tasted at other restaurants. The host was amazing! We chatted with her after eating our food. Such a warm , lovely lady, a joy to have met her. Hot food,hot serving dishes . She allowed us to have cartons to take home what we couldn't eat!! We will definitely be going back!!!

My wife & I have just moved to Evesham, and had our first Chinese takeaway here this evening. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had. It was so good I rang up after we had eaten to let the lovely owners know how good it had been. It was restaurant quality Chinese but at home. It seems Chinese food across the country has generally got poorer in recent years, and I put part of this down to takeaways increasingly using premade / ready made food & skimping on some of the ingredients which make Chinese food so tasty. The opposite is true here. We had the set menu B for 2 people, plus a portion of Peking style shredded beef. Everything tasted fresh. The battered parts were not thick or soggy but instead beautifully crispy & the proportions between meat & batter were perfect. Even the prawn crackers were lovely & seemed to be clearly made in the traditional way; which I haven’t seen for about 10 years. We loved it as a takeaway & in a couple of weeks when we have family coming we’re going to go and eat in. Genuinely buzzing to find this gem of a traditional Chinese restaurant still cooking things the right way.

Very tasty, food was hot. Reasonable price. Fast, polite service. Would recommend and definitely will be returning soon.

We had a takeout selection of chowmeins and yuk sung. We were initially a bit confused as downstairs desk was in darkness, just go upstairs to order. Greeted by nice lady. Waited in pleasant looking restaurant while it was cooked. Food was good. We would go there again

Definitely the best Chinese takeaway & sit down restaurant in Evesham by a country mile . All others are poor or very poor . The food is absolutely delicious, The king prawns are huge, The meats are delicious, Noodles & Rice cooked to perfection. Free prawn crackers are a sensible amount, You don’t end up chucking half of them out . The owners are friendly and professional. Only regret I never found this little Gem years ago .

I have not been there for 15 years the food was great then . I took my daughter today and it was fantastic compliments to the chef .

My wife and I ate here yesterday evening and were delighted with the food and service. Quality ingredients, nice sauces and cooked to perfection . . . It reminded me of eating in Chinatown, Birmingham. We also took away our leftovers, nicely packaged for the journey home and these have just provided us with a super lunch, warming up perfectly in a microwave. Can't wait to return . . .

Unfortunately Evesham doesn’t have a decent Chinese restaurant or takeaway. Until we found this hidden Gem . The food is outstanding The landlady is lovely and very knowledgeable. The chefs are great . They have a small bar serving beers , Wines & Spirits . This review is on a dine in basis only as I know takeaways can be very different. Please come and try it for yourself. Best Chinese meal we have had in Evesham in a very long time. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was excellent. The landlady was very nice and Knowledgeable. They don’t do the buffet menu anymore and to be honest it’s better as the food is top quality. Just order five or six dishes off the menu, Same thing Same price anyway. They also do phone orders and delivery service, But personally you should come and dine in for the best food in my opinion. Drinks , They have a small bar with a selection of wines , Beers , Soft Drinks. Can’t wait to return, Definitely the best Evesham have to offer .

A nice dinner followed by a lovely chat with the landlady. Friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. Worth visiting, even if only to experience having Chinese food in a traditional English house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and it won't be our last, friendly staff, delicious food. We were there early evening (6.00pm) on Good Friday, the small intimate restaurant was quiet but the phone was ringing constantly for take away orders, many of which seemed to be regular customers. I could not fault the food, generous portions beautifully cooked and presented. Highly recommended.

We have used Yumi Yumi for delivered takeaway for quite a while now, using other takeaways when they’re not available. Can honestly say that their food is the best, fresh ingredients, lovely flavour and big portions. Good customer service too. Thanks

A little gem in the heart of Evesham

Well what can I say, just had my first ever food from Yumi Yumi and wow, it was absolutely delicious and will definitely be have more in the very near future……..Just Beautiful.

Just paid £20 for this delivered to Offenham. I understand many businesses are putting prices up but I will not let dishonest business take an advantage of their customers.

Bought takeaway for a birthday. Overall the food itself was decent. well cooked and stayed warm. However in all honesty the food was mediocre, nowhere near as good as river avon. The main problem was that it was very overpriced for a lackluster meal.

Best Chinese we’ve had in Evesham since I moved here! Everyone had raved about the River Avon but in comparison to Yumi Yumi, river Avon is a 3/10!!! The chicken balls, chowmein, curry, smoked shredded chicken and beef curry was DELICIOUS! Not oily or greasy, great portion sizes and didn’t make us feel disgustingly bloated after either! This is by far the best Chinese in the area and I recommend to ALL!!!

Ordered salt and pepper chicken, dry snd scabby, curry tasted like aniseed, chips where from last beef. Beef and mushroom was beef and carrots. All of it was vile unfortunately 25 quid in the bin.

I know the River Avon is bigger and offers dining in options but in my opinion, yumi yumi offers the best tasting take away Chinese food in Evesham. I have yet to have a bad experience and can thoroughly recommend their peaking ribs, crispy chilly beef, pork chow me in crispy duck, vegetarian spring rolls and kung PO dishes.

Awful customer service, we use yumi yumi regularly, and the food arrived tonight covered in curry sauce. Having spoken to them apparently it was my fault. The woman spoke to me like dirt. Furious. I’ll never use them again. Disgusting

Great food, fast service while waiting

Well priced food. Chicken balls was nice but a tiny bit greasy. Prawn crackers again nice but a little bit stale. And the chips were chips can't go wrong Would recommend

Ordered food a 18:56 and told a hour on the phone after hour and half I call to ask how much longer the guy says be with you in 1 minute, now 2 hours later still no food, even for the busiest places 2 hours is a awful long time to wait for food. Safe to say won't use them again.

Absolutely love dining here! Shame your not able to take away what you can't finish? Wonder why this is? As it will only get thrown away!! We aren't big eaters and elsewhere always take the rest back, eat for supper or the next day. Such a waste really as we would have loved to have taken home to finish it all! Buffet is huge! Arrived late just as they were preparing to close with a large order for 7 of us, they were very accomadatibg. It was a takeout order so waited a little while but not to long. Food was fresh, hot, well packed and tasty. There was no complaints from any of us 7. Would definitely order from again and will be heading to the restaurant as it looks lovely.

We were on holiday just outside Evesham ( 12 of us ). The lady who took the order was so helpful as we couldn’t find a menu on line. The food was delivered by a lovely smiley delivery driver. It was hot, and delivered within the hour. Each of the dishes were delicious and had their own individual flavour. First class food and service. Many Thanks. PS Please print your full menu on line. Family holiday nearby Ashton and we found this little gem of a Chinese takeaway. The food was delicious and fresh; the portions were a good size and everything was tasty! Would highly, highly recommended.

Moved to the area end of last year and tried this Chinese, as they all have mixed reviews. Ordered takeaway, grumpy telephone host said it would be £7 delivery, well, I’m 5 miles out of Evesham so okay, BUT I guess I’m used to very high quality Chinese food where I lived before, as this barely scored mediocre. Stodgy noodles, sugary artificial pink sweet and sour sauce. I’d say cheap and nasty except it wasn’t cheap. I can only think that those that give it good reviews have never had great Chinese food. Maybe there isn’t a good one round here. But, ever hopeful, I’ll try the River Avon next and report back.

Excellent food. We only moved into the area in the last six months, struggled to find a decent takeaway but Yumi Yumi was a great find. Food tastes fresh, is well cooked and very good sized portions. Wait time is quick too. Would recommend the spare ribs and the house curry and egg fried rice, but everything we've tried has been great to be honest!

Food dry and didn't receive bbq sauce x 2. Chips old and dry. Mixed crispy balls dry. Called and replacement was being sent but never received. Do not buy from here!!

Prawn toast over cooked and tough, beef strips inedible, noodles and sweet and sour chicken edible but nothing special. Would not use again, mediocre and bland. Arrived luke warm so had to be warmed up prior to eating. Extremely disappointed. Wish we’d gone elsewhere.

Anyone who has not visited yumi yumi needs to go and see for themselves how good it is. In fact its excellent. Not only is the food great,the staff are too, very friendly and accommodating. We have been going there for a long time now and would find it impossible to get better anywhere else.

It has been bad for the last few takeaways but silly us for keep going back. King prawn chow mein - the prawns taste way too over cooked and when you bite into it it tastes of nothing - just mush. I question how freshly cooked any of the food is. Prawn crackers have been stale every single time and it’s just not as nice as it used to be. Different price each time for exactly the same food. Not wasting our money again.

We had a takeaway last night the worst chinese I have ever had. Firstly the driver couldn't find our address even though a sat nav takes you right outside we had to drive to find him. Chips were hard looked like the were the days before chips, prawn toast burnt, crispy chilli beef soggy and soft, noodles dried up and all food cold. Absolutely disgusting such a disappointment

Had a takeaway from Yumi Yumi last Saturday with the wife. Beautiful! Ordered a chow mein and chilli beef. Food arrived promptly and piping hot even though they have a reputation for being busy. Looking forward to this weekend so we can order again. 😊

The staff at Yumi Yumi are great. They are very friendly and although were rushed off their feet trying to keep up with the massive demand, remained polite and welcoming. There was a fair wait after ordering but their popularity is for a reason, the food is great! We had a take away to feed 9 people and all were very satisfied with their meals. My wife and I are vegetarians and the selection was really good. We would all really recommend Yumi Yumi!

Had a great service from Yumi Yumi’s this week. Had trouble getting through on the phone so they called me back. Food delivered in the time frame stated. Really good quality Chinese. Best we’ve had in a while.

Having just finished our take away which was meant to be a delivery but due to the amount of time in which we were left looking at our watches and thinking, surely not another 10minutes as well as ringing upwards of 50 timesI was forced to drive to the restaurant itself. Upon arrival I was told that my delivery had left half hour ago. The manager then tried to call the driver and having had no luck in trying to contact his driver told me the kitchen would cook me a fresh meal. Ironically a man turned up holding a food bag, went straight into the kitchen and not a minute later the manager came out with a food bag and gave it to me apologising profusely. My partner dished the food out and it was quite clear that they had not cooked us fresh meals, due to the fact that the food was warm at best. Still sat here trying to call them to complain!Terrible

Just had a takeaway. Beef was to hard could not eqt ot .prawn balls to cresy to eat .it was a dreadful meal all for 32 pound . Never again .this was dreadful

In the past we have had takeaways from Yumi Yumi quite a bit as the food is always so good. What really lets them down is the phone constantly being engaged. I’m not sure whether they’re that busy that the phone is always ringing or that they just leave it off the hook, but either way it’s terrible service. We’ve got sick of spending a good hour trying to get through to them whenever we want a chinese that we’ve now given up and will be going elsewhere. We’re fed up of not eating until 10 o’clock at night because of this. Such a shame.

Rude staff member and we were hurried to leave. Made to feel very unwelcome and the service was very slow for a quiet restaurant.

Quirky very relaxed Chinese restaurant offering a warm welcome and excellent food. No, seriously, these guys are providing all the classic Cantonese favourites to a very high standard. Flavours and ingredient quality that would be difficult to find elsewhere in the Midlands let alone Evesham! I’ve only so far experienced eating in. Looking forward to trying the take away soon

Went for a meal with the family and found this great little restaurant. We had the all you can eat buffet and was not disappointed with the quality of the food. Service was just right, polite helpful and genuine. Will be back for sure.

Great place to go especially if you like a few dishes. Buffet is 18.50 pp and for everything u can have/get its amazing. Went last weekend my husband and i love it there.

We use Yumi yumi on a regular basis. Takeaway for a quick easy meal and then a sit down meal for special occasions, the food is brilliant, vegetarians also catered for with a great selection to offer unlike other Chinese takeaways and restaurants. Service is always quick and always with a smile. You are always made to feel very welcome, we always recommend Yumi yumi to friends and family!

With easy parking nearby which can’t be said for other local Chinese restaurants, it is easy to collect etc. Great range on the menu and some really lovely highlights including the Shanghai chicken, Kung Po prawns and crispy beef with chilli. The curries are good and the Singapore noodles and rice really tasty. The noodles are massive portions so good to share or a meal in themselves.

Takeaway food was warmed up chips disgusting spareribs rockhard chowmain very little meat and it took 2 hrs to be deliverd and that's how a business is run good luck for the future with that one

We were served even though they weren't quite open. Fast friendly service by the manager who stayed to chat while we waited. Tasty dishes. We had the set menu for 1 plus a couple of extra dishes, for the 2 of us. Just over £20.

What an amazing place! The BEST in the Stratfordshire area... I have known this place for a while and used it for take away in the past. This time we visited for a sit down meal. The owner is so passionate about pleasing and this is really evident. The policy of ‘waste not want not’ is so unique, I run a restaurant myself and think it is a fantastic idea ! BRILLIANT experience , we will come again and again !!!!

Ok so I know I am flying in the face of other reviews but as those reviews rave about this place you are led to expect exceptional food. It is quite good, but it isn’t exceptional, so to begin with the dinning area is up quite steep and narrow stairs, there may be disabled access but I didn’t see it, the dinning room itself is pleasant enough, airy and light although where you are sat you can hear the sound of take away orders being phoned in. The menus are the take away menu and a buffet menu, both feel a little low rent but the choice is good, however it’s a long time since I saw a menu that listed wine as simply white or red, without specifying a label. Service is friendly and quick although interspersed with the aforementioned take away orders. We ordered the buffet, starter platter was generous if very heavy on fried run of the mill food, i.e seaweed (cabbage) spring rolls, chicken satay kebabs etc, it was all pleasant enough but not exceptional, this was followed by crispy duck, again pleasant enough but we were not offered the choice of soup specified on the menu. Final choice of young chow fried rice and a chicken and a chilli prawn dish were again pleasant but nothing else. I really wanted to rave about this place but in all honesty I can’t, it’s ok but not as good as other reviews would have you believe. Sorry.

So unfortunate that I feel the need to leave this bad review. I have been using yummi yummi for a takeaway service for a long time and the staff members are very friendly but they have consistently made errors in my order. For example I dont eat meat or egg and they have sent me meat dishes instead of vegetarian and rice with egg in instead of without. Then when I have let them know they sent out replacement, which is great, but the meals they send have been wrong again. Tonight my food was over an hour late, cold, soggy and then my vegetable fried rice had egg in when I specifically asked for no egg. I rang and let them know, they sent a replacement but it was a small plain rice and the portion was 1/3 of the vegetable fried rice that I paid for. Their food itself is very nice I just don't recomend that you eat here if you are looking for vegetarian/vegan food or have any allergies.

Has the title says the Chinese to go to. Its only a small place but the food is fantastic. And also they do a superb take away service. We have never had a bad meal from there whether it was a sit down or a take away. Great family run Chinese. Give it a go you wo t be disappointed.
