China City Oriental Restaurant in Wychavon

My wife and I visited China City on numerous occasions and we have been really happy with the price and quality of the food. Best recommendation is to visit when it is quiet during the week as it gets quite busy during Friday & Saturday.

First time eating here. Food was wonderful and the service was excellent. Will definitely recommend and returning soon.

We booked a table for the Sunday Buffet, having been here a few times previously, for all our family to celebrate my husbands birthday and retirement. When we booked, we were told it would be 12pm until 2pm which gave us plenty of time. The day before our booking, the restaurant phoned to see if we were still OK for 12pm but we would need to be done by 1.15pm. When we all arrived, the restaurant was very busy. There was a long queue for the food and we found ourselves having to weave through diners sat at their tables to join the queue which wasn't good. There seemed to be a lack of staff too. We all felt that we were being rushed as the entrance to the restaurant was clearly filling up with diners waiting for the second sitting. The restaurant seems to have too many tables now for the size of the room, making it all very cramped. Sadly we were all disappointed with our lunch experience and felt it ruined the special occasion.

Excellent food and served well. It was very noisy, but there was a very large party. The only problem was the seating. The seats were extremely uncomfortable so that, in spite of the good food, I will avoid going there again.

Really, very nice food, great service, and a nice well maintained restaurant, staff are great and friendly. Unfortunately, the seating lets it down as to hard, it's okay for up to an hour, then it really becomes uncomfortable. Overall, I will be going back maybe with a cushion next time.

Great value buffet lunch less than £20 per person for as much food as you can eat. Your not rushed either to get a second sitting in.

We had a lovely dinner here for my Wife's birthday yesterday. It was our first time visiting, so wasn't sure what to expect. The food was delicious, arrived quickly and service was impeccable! The staff went above and beyond, surprising my Wife with a balloon, gift, cake and singing happy birthday to her. We hadn't told them about it beforehand either, so they sorted all this on the spot! Thankyou again, we had a great time and will definitely be returning.

Good around Chinese restaurant, food was good, if a little uninspiring.

best local chinese in the area, fantastic selection of food during the Sunday buffets

We regularly visit during weekday nights, and thought we would try the all you can eat buffet on Sundays. Wow, the food was just as amazing as it normally is 🤩 all fresh and hot. Very good value for money. See you all again very soon

Been quite a few times over the years and always great food and great service! Latest visit the waitres went above and beyond to get a smile out of a grumpy 6 year old and it worked! Can not thank them enough. Highly recommend

Popped in in the way home from hospital and got a takeaway, service was friendly and professional. Food very tasty, unfortunately too far to go for usual takeaway but would definitely pop in again if over that way.

Food quality has gone downhill recently. So sad Spare ribs are now tiny chunks of fat . Pad Thai was a disgusting mess of pasta and scrambled egg ? Won't return

We arrived at 18.15 hrs for our booked table at 18.30. To start with the parking was terrible and had to juggle with leaving clients to get a spot. The restaurant was freezing cold and clients were eating at their tables in their outdoor coats. We also kept our coats on and then the waitress put a radiator on near our table which helped. I would have expected the heating to be on, ready to be warm and welcoming for diners. First impression was that the meals were expensive and were surprised that they were at the table within 10 minutes of ordering. The food looked attractive, however when adding more food to our plates, the remaining food ( main course) was cold. With the cold conditions in the restaurant, we should have been offered food to be kept warm on hot storage plates rather than eat cold food. This was not the results of excessive talking by our guests! The service was ok as was the decor but I would not be in a hurry to return to this establishment in the near future.

I came here on a buffet day as part of a group. The choice of food wasn't huge but this meant the food was always fresh. I also liked you could have banana fritters with ice cream. Staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend!

Amazing food. We had the Christmas menu, which was lovely, but a little expensive. The staff were very helpful and asked if we wanted a break between courses, YES was the answer! Everything looked lovely and clean. Will we go again? Definitely.

Disappointed, to say the least. Took the grandchildren for a Sunday buffet and been many times before, hence I thought it would be a good birthday experience for my 14 year old granddaughter. In the past, the staff would sing happy birthday with a tune playing, plus a lovely complimentary cake. I don't expect anything for nothing, but this is what they do. My visit was paying £10 for a £3 cheesecake which I thought i was purchasing a cake and a terrible service, plates not taken away and staff who looked like they didn't want to be there. Needless to say, won't be going back. Terrible place.

Fantastic. Stumbled upon them in a Google search for Chinese restaurants near us. We had takeaway. Food was superb. We sat in and had a beer and prawn crackers whilst we waited. Staff were great and very friendly

booked for a 90th birthday the staff were so helpful and friendly couldnt do enough for us even brought out a little birthday sweet and present for my mother also food was excellent .we will be going back. thanks again to the staff

It was an exceptional experience we were so well attended to & looked after, not only with the food service but the personal service. I suffer with mobility problems & I was so touched & impressed with the way I was received & helped by the young lady of the staff, it made me feel quite special & also a little emotional. But the evening went on to be made even better by their wonderful staff ( young ones) nothing was too much for them to assist with it made our family birthday celebration so very enjoyable. The food was excellent & plenty of it, we actually stayed longer than intended & at the end of the evening I was helped by another young lady member of staff right out to the car park ensuring I was safely down the ramp & attending to me personally, what wonderful staff. We will certainly be going there again to relive our experience. Thank you so much to the staff at China City restaurant for welcoming & attending us so warmly & friendly an experience to remember.

It was busy busy, with lots of excited people. Staff running from table to kitchen. You can understand why it's so popular (award winning) when you get your food, which as far as Worcestershire Chinese Restaurants is concerned is top notch. Parking, straightforward access, clean toilets, happy staff, quick service, wide range, tasty food, what's not to like!

Really good quality food, not the cheapest but as a treat, all fresh and tasty. I will return.

A very enjoyable experience at China city, lovely food, great choice and really friendly staff. One of the best restaurants locally, high quality at a reasonable price. Book in advance and look out for Midweek deals.

We've used China City for years now. The staff are fabulous and always so welcoming. We've enjoyed many dishes, many times. However, I'm not sure if they have changed their chef, as the chow mein we normally buy is inedible. Most of the noodles in the centre are still pure white and tasteless.

Took our family out for lunch for my mother in-laws birthday and I have to say we had a lovely time. The food was great and in the form of a buffet and there was such a variety to choose from. The staff were amazing, really attentive and even helped my elderly in-laws take their food to the table. COVID-19 guidelines were followed by staff and visitors and you felt like you had been in a safe environment. Would recommend and will definitely go again.

Did leave good feedback because last time we used this Chinese it was very good.. However just got home to find that the chicken in the rice was not cooked right through. And very rubbery.. would check your meal.. especially the chicken ones.. are cooked before you leave.

I love the food and the service is really good

I have tried this place 3 different times , the food is awful , all 3 times I had to throw away the food , the pork dishes are disgusting , noodles tasted like they were cooked days in advance , beef dishes as well disgusting , the only thing eatable from everything that I ordered was sweet and sour chicken bits , tho the chicken was rubbery and so far away from a chinese dish as earth is to the moon . I thank God I didn't got food poisoning from this place .
