Popped in for a quick pint Sunday afternoon. Nice beer, friendly locals and great old building. Just a shame it's not my local!

Terrific friendly caffe with good selection of food for take away and sit-in at sensible fees. Always welcoming with a smile, the Australian manager is great finding time however busy to greet and chat with regular customers and deliver excellent service to new as well. Highly recommended.

Such an excellent gem of a place, food was so good, drinks were good, and the service, impeccable! Succulent meats, soft saffron rice, well spiced chips. Really friendly staff, knowledgeable about the Persian culture and happy to share so we all walked away learning something.

The café itself is okay.. decent coffee and atmosphere, but the experience was soured by the incredibly rude attitude and poor service from one of the staff members, a tall white woman working there. Her demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional, which really put a damper on the visit. A place can’t thrive on decent coffee alone; respectful and welcoming customer service is just as important.

It felt like we were visiting a dear old friend tonight, having first stepped foot inside the Diwan back in 1992 and became regulars for many years before moving away. The food was still as good as ever and the warm welcome the same. Will all ways be my favourite balti house.
