I recently had a fantastic dining experience at Itaewon with my friend and I just had to share! The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing meal. I want to give a special mention staff worker Xin, who provided exceptional service. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you, Xin, for making our visit memorable! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and wonderful service.

I recently visited Itaewon and had an incredible experience with Korean food that I just have to share! We ordered kimchi pork jjigae, bibimbap, and salt and pepper chicken wings and garlic butter and honey chicken wings, and everything was brilliant. The kimchi pork jjigae was rich and tangy, with a perfect balance of spices that warmed me right up. The pork was tender and absorbed all the flavors beautifully. The bibimbap was not only visually appealing but also packed with flavor. Each ingredient, from the fresh vegetables to the savory sauce, came together harmoniously. The garlic butter and honey chicken wings were a standout, the batter was crispy and light, bursting with flavor, that left me wanting more. Plus, the portion sizes were generous, making it great value for money. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and I can’t wait to go back for another round!

The staff is absolutely amazing I love them. So sweet and lovely. So welcoming and heartwarming. Good was delicious. I recommended coming here for an amazing dinner out. The atmosphere was great and music was perfect. If u have a birthday or any special occasion u should definitely come. Portions were amazing and very filling, could feed 3-4 people.

Atmosphere was amazing!! 5 of us upstairs and the service was so good. The food came out extremely quick and all steaming hot. Teokbokkii was delicious but my favourite was the beef bulgogi. Definitely coming back.

We celebrated my friends birthday here. Staff were so sweet! We received complementary ice cream to celebrate and a sweet bday message card. We food was amazing, and portions were reasonable according to the price. The atmosphere, music and environment was very calming and was a great end to our day. We will definitely come back again!

I’ve eaten here a handful of times and it is mediocre at best. I cannot justify the prices and how the food tastes. There are many great Korean restaurants in birmingham that have much better food however the fried chicken from here is definitely delicious. The other food items like the kimchi pancake is quite oily if I’m being honest and the dish that the hot pot is served in is too small, you cannot make sure the food is properly cooked because when you stir it a bit - food will fall out.

If you’re looking for a spot that serves great food, this is definitely the place to go. The highlight of my visit was the incredible noodles and stir-fry beef with kimchi! Eddy was really nice and attentive. I’ll be coming back for more!

I celebrated my 21st birthday here and a staff member gave me free Matcha ice cream with a candle, a hand written card and a plaquard calling me a queen! I cried. The food is amazing, they play all the new and popular kpop songs, what a day to remember. Overwhelmed by kindness, I could cry again. Love you, Itaewon staff!

me and my friends went absolutely loved it it was so worth and so tasty . they made sure we had a halal menu and informed us was very professional and nice . even let us charge our phones x

I have been here thrice before and honestly the food was so good I had to bring my friend who wasn’t from Birmingham here. I went on the Wednesday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy and when I entered, it took a while to even make eye contact with the server. I was then asked to go upstairs not even given the choice which I found strange but agreed to go up. I then saw my friend was already waiting there and told me she’s been waiting for ten minutes already and I also joined her for another five before we were even acknowledged. The guy did apologise though and seated us but hurriedly left before even asking if we wanted anything to drink. Another twenty minutes of us trying to make eye contact with someone, with all servers having their heads down (there was only two upstairs and one downstairs) as if they knew We were waiting to be served but just didn’t acknowledge us. Even a quick ‘hi sorry we won’t be a moment we are currently busy’ would’ve sufficed but they literally avoided us like the plague. After around 40 minutes of us entering the restaurant, we thought to leave, we went downstairs and saw two groups of people who weren’t there when I entered who had already been acknowledged, their food noted down and being served which made us even more annoyed because we were forced to go upstairs to not even be served whilst these people got the choice to stay downstairs and was served by the lady in charge of that section. We ended up going elsewhere, I’m just genuinely annoyed that I wanted to take a friend to somewhere I’ve previously enjoyed and wasted her time coming here.

Absolutely no regrets with choosing Itaewon to eat at! The service is absolutely amazing- the people there really do more then they have to- for example when I was deciding what to order, she had helped us save money by asking the chef to put in extra kimchi in my main dish rather than me ordering it as a side, which she did not have to do! The food is also delicious and the restaurant itself has a homely atmosphere.

From booking the reservation, being welcomed and served the staff were excellent. The food was flavoured just right. We had a party of 12 who all ordered various dishes and every dish was tasty. We will definitely be coming here again

Fantastic service. Very friendly and helpful staff. They did extras to help customers (more than they should), which I felt some customers were taking advantage of them but they were kind. The food was delicious and hot. The pork belly was crispy which was cooked more than I expected. There were 2 sauces provided, gochujang and a mixed meat powder with cumin which is great for lamb (not sure if they serve it). In Korea the cumin is something you have to add yourself so it's nice it's already there. I would have liked salt available to add. There was a very small amount of kimchi too. The kimchi soup had a lot of filling and it was great. It came with rice which usually places charge you for. Actually, I couldn't finish it. I would recommend this. The price was good, it's less than half you would pay for having the same food in Bath or London, so I was surprised when some customers said they couldn't afford it. I also saw staff ask other customers if they can use chopsticks, and then gave them a matching fork. I wasn't offered but I didn't need. I loved how they catered to the local people. I wasn't sure what the "not normal" menu was, but it was made for the many halal eaters that entered, and they were able to also eat and respected. The atmosphere was very busy, eventually went quieter. They had heaters throughout the restaurant to keep it warm. Food were above fire so it would stay warm throughout. I did see deliveries as options, and some weren't able to finish their food were able to have it packed away nicely in a to go box and nice bag. It looked like this was the only Korean restaurant around. The Google maps took me in a huge circle to reach it, but if you go from front of the train station it will be much easier.
