The best restaurants in Wiltshire South West

We came for dinner to celebrate my mums birthday (which also happened to be Mother’s Day). It had clearly been a busy day for the whole team, but we were left waiting from the moment we arrived. The bar tender was excellent and ended up clearing our table for us, but an early 18:30 booking ended up with us being served our roasts at 20:10 - and it had taken 40 minutes to have our order taken. The food was outstanding, as always, however the wait left us disappointed!

Cutest little place and a fantastic pizza. Their cheesecake is also to die for!!!!

NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Was one of the best places to eat but now sadly closed since Xmas.

Made a big mistake stopping off at this place for a roast. The food was not freshly cooked and was clearly a microwaved frozen roast, the beef and pork were a version of a meat product and the vegetables were not fresh. Empty plates were left strewn across the tables despite the pub being very quiet. The dog barking from a garden in the house joining the pub added to the 'atmosphere'. Now at the Green Man in Brook for a drink. Should have come here as a far superior place and the prices are the same. We won't be returning to the Lamb Inn any time soon.

This is a community pub run by tenants who bring a high level of professionalism. The food was excellent as was the service and ambience. Well worth a visit as it is excellent value for money

The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-seasoned, and full of flavour. The portion sizes were really generous; definitely worth the price! The staff were amazing—friendly, welcoming, and really quick with the service. It made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was nice too, and everything was clean and well-kept. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a reasonable price. Definitely one of the best kebabs we’ve had!

Totally great, under new management. I live across the street and come here multiple times a week. Love the day service for coffee and sandwiches; I'll sit and work on my computer. I've also come for the evening wine and lite bite service - lots of great options :)

Only moved here a few weeks ago and was recommended the Brewery inn on FB by several people so we booked an early Christmas dinner. Strange as I would have drove past the pub as it looks a little unloved on the outside and in need of a bit of a spruce on the inside. There's a car park. The pub is not large and a bit old fashioned but ok in its own way. The staff were lovely and helpful and the food was really good...5* the pub is dog and child friendly so it's noisy 🤣 I would go back again but we were the only ones having the Christmas dinner so not really the right atmosphere for that but great for traditional pub food and the portions looked good on the other tables as well.

Good pub grub - although the beetroot Wellington was a little small. Nice ale (Landlord and Butty Bach)

Popped in for a quick pint after a walk along the canal. The welcome was lovely. Sat us next to the fire and even offered to drop us back to our motorhome. That's what you call service.
