The Lamb Inn-Nomansland in Wiltshire

Made a big mistake stopping off at this place for a roast. The food was not freshly cooked and was clearly a microwaved frozen roast, the beef and pork were a version of a meat product and the vegetables were not fresh. Empty plates were left strewn across the tables despite the pub being very quiet. The dog barking from a garden in the house joining the pub added to the 'atmosphere'. Now at the Green Man in Brook for a drink. Should have come here as a far superior place and the prices are the same. We won't be returning to the Lamb Inn any time soon.

Great traditional pub. Fireplace in the middle to split the rooms, atmosphere was lovely, food was great (especially the pork belly). Really friendly staff. Will be returning for sure.

It was a mid week lunch with a family group of 6. The pub was filling with diners towards 13.00, so book early to get a seating area of your preference. The food was well cooked and the service was excellent. I can't comment on the beer as I was the driver!

We went for lunch with friends, nothing was too much trouble. I had the squid to start... absolutely delicious and the chicken supreme for main.. so nice. All our meals were great... we will definitely be back!

My second visit to this beautiful establishment, I was not disappointed, yet again a beautifully executed meal. I cannot rate this pub highly enough. Rustic feel, supreme service and exquisite food. Thankyou for a wonderful meal

Super welcoming, warm and clean with good seating and we'll spaced tables. The food is excellent and there is plenty of it, beautiful home cooked delicious choices. Sunday lunch is a joy on the senses. Staff are really helpful especially with a coeliac and two of our party having allergies. An absolute 10/10 Plenty of room too park.

On a miserable wet and windy day. What is better than meeting friends for a Sunday Roast. The food was plentiful and very tasty. Staff were polite and conscientious. A thoroughly wonderful experience of what a good pub and good food is all about.

Disappointed again, a very middle of the road pub. Service was ok, but they seemed bored. Food was ok. Beer was ok, but I felt sick in the night - it was either the food or the beer (probably the latter).

Had superb meal for two here including lamb shank which was one of the best meals I have had in a long time . Good sized portions and all cooked beautifully . Really helpful friendly people here and very warm and cosy atmosphere with a roaring log fire . 💯% recommend coming here to eat or just a drink and also a great location .Thankyou we will be returning soon 🙏👌🌟

Came in for a couple of drinks and a ploughmans, definitely didn't disappoint, one of the best meals I've had in a long time will definitely be back to try some more of the menu

Cycled out to The Lamb, for the first time in a while. The roast dinner was outstanding. Pork belly cooked to melt in the mouth perfection, and the vegan wellington was great. We will be back again soon, hopefully we'll have room for a pudding next time.

A lovely little pub in Nomansland. Perfect for a drink and a bite to eat after a walk. Staff were helpful and efficient and food was tasty, although quite expensive (but where isn't in the new forest?!). The crispy pork belly was nice, but slightly let down by the lack of crunch from the crackling. The chef was happy to accommodate my request for chips instead of the mashed potato.

Really quick to serve us our food and there was a very good selection available of both vegan and gluten free options. The vegan bbq mac and cheese was excellent and very filling and the apple, pear and strawberry crumble was equally as good.

What a fantastic forest pub! Really pleasant friendly warm atmosphere. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Open fire was lit and the food was sublime. Meal was a good portion size and incredibly delicious. Clearly cooked by a highly qualified chef. I will absolutely return.

We went for lunch today on a Monday afternoon. We took our mum for her bday and they were so kind giving us a lovely table and making a happy birthday sign for her. The food was outstanding, the best we have had in a very long time eating out. Service was fantastic and can’t fault any of the food or service at all. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Cannot recommend this place, enough. If I could give 10 stars, I would. The food was superb, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the portions were massive. You can not go wrong with eating here!

My partner and I have just had the most amazing experience here. We had the squid and garlic mushrooms for starters. Lovely flavors and very tasty. We then both had the brisket and oh my lord.....it was all cooked to perfection and was absolutely outstanding. Excellent service received by the staff, who were very friendly and welcoming. We will 100% be returning very soon.

Wonderful! Very friendly welcome and the lady who served us had excellent customer service. Good choice of meals to suit every price range and good portions. Dogs welcome and even a bowl of water bought to our seating area for her. Plenty of parking and lovely views across to the fields.

Dropped in for a spur of the moment Sunday lunch, lucky to get in, they were packed. Food was tasty, hot and lots of it. Had the 'Big Daddy' roast (lose the name please) - struggled to eat it all but worth the effort. Excellent value for money. Staff were all cheerful and attentive without being intrusive.

Sorry not good anymore. Items missing from the fixed menu and poor service with mediocre food. Came back twice since it changed hands and disappointed both times. Was once a fine establishment but no more.

A quick lunchtime bite at this pub. They used to sell the most excellent Timothy Taylor’s Landlord here but that seems to have gone. Shame; that was one of the reasons we came.

Right in the heart of the New Forest is this little gem. Happy smiling attentive staff and superb food. We regularly drive 40 miles to visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent, had fish, Unusual for me, hubby had sausages, great potion sizes, couldn't finish mine but hubby didn't mind, friendly staff, freshly cooked, crispy not swimming in grease, very impressed, have eaten at a lot of local, New Forest , this one was fantastic

The pub is now under new ownership and is now part of a chain. I ordered a ploughman’s which came with a mug of soup which was a nice touch. It could have easily been improved by increasing the amount of bread and providing a mature piece of Cheddar cheese rather than the rather bland offering

Lovely village pub off the beaten track. Staff super friendly and the iced coffee was refreshing. The local donkey was super placid. (No i didnt pet)

Could not praise this place enough. Firstly, the food was delicious. Having recently had to go gluten-free due to intolerances, it is pretty impossible to find 1. Tasty options and 2.options in general. Most places when they say gluten free mean they will remove the bread, or you can have a steak. The Lamb Inn had a massive range of food options, from burgers to pies to fajitas, where the majority of them could be made gluten free. So the food was a big win here. In addition, the staff were amazing. Yuan, who was our main server and bar tender, was great. He was friendly, chatty, and attentive. We ended up spending the duration of the night at the bar enjoying the friendly atmosphere. Would definitely head back when we're next in the area.

Good value pub grub with weekly foodie themes. We had the meatloaf and the liver & bacon, both very good, although... The menu says the liver & bacon comes with bubble & squeak, it actually came on mash potatoes with some peas & carrots mixed in, which (IMHO) isn't bubble & squeak, maybe they had run out... I didn't complain as the mash was good, leaving this note so anyone wanting bubble & squeak can check before you order. :) Would definitely eat here again

Lovely roast and chilli hot dog, fast service, very pleasant staff. We work till 6pm, so to come out for a roast up till 9pm is fantastic.

A very comfortable environment with incredible special menus. Superb staff and excellent service. Wonderful vegetarian options. Large open car parking just outside the door.

The staff were really lovely and the atmosphere in this place is amazing also has music of many different genres playing. I order the cessar salad, and although it didn’t that much sauce it was still nice, the croutons were also a bit stale can’t fault the staff cause as soon as I told them they offered to get me new fresh ones

We were recommended this pub for a meal as it’s very dog friendly. The location is very nice. We were given a warm welcome and shown to a window table. The first course of crispy chicken wings looked huge,mainly due to the fact it was the whole wing with the tip left on. They had a very thick coating of crumb which was very difficult to get through with very little dipping sauce to help break it down. Once you got to the chicken it was ok. My wife had the chicken roulade which she enjoyed. I had the burger and I added a pulled pork topping. I’m afraid the whole thing was a let down. Very dry with very little moister. I asked for a source to liven it up. Unfortunately I wouldn’t return as the price gave me and much indigestion as the food.

Top marks all round for a super little pub with friendly staff, the service was only topped by the Food. All 3 courses were excellent, nachos, shepherd's pie, chicken roulade & sticky toffee pudding.... all very good indeed!! A must try if you anywhere near The Lambs Inn. Very reasonably priced too.

Nicely located pub with a very small front seating area, large interior and comfortable rear garden, with some shaded tables. Food was filling and satisfying after a long walk, and the pub was busy, but not especially noisy. Would definitely return when in the area.

What an amazing pub. We have been visiting this area for so.e years and have always been recommended to get a meal here or even just spend an evening enjoying this pub, but we only visited for the first time recently. The service here was great and the staff offered some advice on the menu, we made our choices and waited for the food to arrive, whilst enjoying our drinks, surprisingly the wait was not long. Our meals were well presented and OMG, were they tasty. We were blown away with the quality of the food and the value for money. Now I see why all our friends recommend we visit the The Lamb... we will definitely be coming regularly and I will highly recommend anyone else reading this stops off for a great meal. Just visited here again and it has been taken over with new management. Well, never fear, it is just as good, if not better.

First time visiting The Lamb. Lovely forest side location, the interior is welcoming and the staff attentive. The food was a bit hit or miss, more of a miss for myself, ordering the lamb from the Sunday roast selection. The potatoes were overcooked and meat cut so thin it was hard to taste the lamb. The desert and roast trimmings were in good order, just a shame that overall it was underwhelming.

Fantastic place I would recommend to everyone, the food was delicious, best steak and ale pie I’ve ever had and it was completely full of meat! My partner enjoyed her roast chicken too. The waiters were lovely and polite and the atmosphere was friendly with mingling locals.

I can honestly say that the food was the best meal I have had in a very long time. I had the beef brisket. I could have eaten it again. Good value as well.

Group of 6. Some of our meals were lovely, others really not. So it depends on what you ordered. My daughter had Mac and cheese with pulled pork, this really wasn't pleasant tasting. The liver there wasn't much of it to be honest.

Just ok, outside back needs smartening up, used to be great with hanging baskets....

My friends and I went to The Lamb for a Sunday roast today. The pub is located just within the New Forest in a picturesque location. We had a roast lamb and roast pork lunch. The food was very nice and the staff are a credit to the pub.

Food was very good,but roast beef could have been better,some tasted pre cooked & reheated.

We just wanted to say what great food we had last night, although the service was slower than they would have like due to unforeseen circumstances, they looked after us very well and we will be returning. Thank you.

My first time visiting with my uncle. It was a Monday so no need to book. A beautiful location with free parking opposite. I imagine in the summer these spaces will fill fast and booking essential. I had chicken roulade and it was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. My uncle had the liver and bacon which he said was tasty too. The two female staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

I visited for lunch on my Birthday on 14 March 24. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a good selection of food and we asked if they did a smaller portion for my Mum, which they happily did. The food was tasty and quickly served. A great location to see ponies and donkeys in the New Forest and well worth a visit

Fabulous little pub with loads of personality.

I wish the new management all the best of luck in turning around the pub. Still got a way to go but I am sure there will be big improvements.

Perfect pub, wonderful service from Bethany and Dan, mind blowing playlist on a Wednesday lunchtime. Fresh and flavourful sausages and mustard mash, portion was generous and I was still able to walk up to Piper's Wait after cleaning my plate. If you're really lucky you'll see the pigs on the green through the window by the fire!
