Sorry not good anymore. Items missing from the fixed menu and poor service with mediocre food. Came back twice since it changed hands and disappointed both times. Was once a fine establishment but no more.

A quick lunchtime bite at this pub. They used to sell the most excellent Timothy Taylor’s Landlord here but that seems to have gone. Shame; that was one of the reasons we came.

Right in the heart of the New Forest is this little gem. Happy smiling attentive staff and superb food. We regularly drive 40 miles to visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent, had fish, Unusual for me, hubby had sausages, great potion sizes, couldn't finish mine but hubby didn't mind, friendly staff, freshly cooked, crispy not swimming in grease, very impressed, have eaten at a lot of local, New Forest , this one was fantastic

The pub is now under new ownership and is now part of a chain. I ordered a ploughman’s which came with a mug of soup which was a nice touch. It could have easily been improved by increasing the amount of bread and providing a mature piece of Cheddar cheese rather than the rather bland offering

Went on busy day was fete day but service was really good very nice will come back another day

Lovely village pub off the beaten track. Staff super friendly and the iced coffee was refreshing. The local donkey was super placid. (No i didnt pet)

Could not praise this place enough. Firstly, the food was delicious. Having recently had to go gluten-free due to intolerances, it is pretty impossible to find 1. Tasty options and 2.options in general. Most places when they say gluten free mean they will remove the bread, or you can have a steak. The Lamb Inn had a massive range of food options, from burgers to pies to fajitas, where the majority of them could be made gluten free. So the food was a big win here. In addition, the staff were amazing. Yuan, who was our main server and bar tender, was great. He was friendly, chatty, and attentive. We ended up spending the duration of the night at the bar enjoying the friendly atmosphere. Would definitely head back when we're next in the area.

Always a good place to visit if you are in the area. The food is always good. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Good beers too.

Good value pub grub with weekly foodie themes. We had the meatloaf and the liver & bacon, both very good, although... The menu says the liver & bacon comes with bubble & squeak, it actually came on mash potatoes with some peas & carrots mixed in, which (IMHO) isn't bubble & squeak, maybe they had run out... I didn't complain as the mash was good, leaving this note so anyone wanting bubble & squeak can check before you order. :) Would definitely eat here again

Lovely roast and chilli hot dog, fast service, very pleasant staff. We work till 6pm, so to come out for a roast up till 9pm is fantastic.

A very comfortable environment with incredible special menus. Superb staff and excellent service. Wonderful vegetarian options. Large open car parking just outside the door.

Delicious food. Super friendly staff. Have been 4 times now at different times of the day. Can get really busy. Outside seating front and back. Dog friendly.

The staff were really lovely and the atmosphere in this place is amazing also has music of many different genres playing. I order the cessar salad, and although it didn’t that much sauce it was still nice, the croutons were also a bit stale can’t fault the staff cause as soon as I told them they offered to get me new fresh ones

We were recommended this pub for a meal as it’s very dog friendly. The location is very nice. We were given a warm welcome and shown to a window table. The first course of crispy chicken wings looked huge,mainly due to the fact it was the whole wing with the tip left on. They had a very thick coating of crumb which was very difficult to get through with very little dipping sauce to help break it down. Once you got to the chicken it was ok. My wife had the chicken roulade which she enjoyed. I had the burger and I added a pulled pork topping. I’m afraid the whole thing was a let down. Very dry with very little moister. I asked for a source to liven it up. Unfortunately I wouldn’t return as the price gave me and much indigestion as the food.

Top marks all round for a super little pub with friendly staff, the service was only topped by the Food. All 3 courses were excellent, nachos, shepherd's pie, chicken roulade & sticky toffee pudding.... all very good indeed!! A must try if you anywhere near The Lambs Inn. Very reasonably priced too.

Nicely located pub with a very small front seating area, large interior and comfortable rear garden, with some shaded tables. Food was filling and satisfying after a long walk, and the pub was busy, but not especially noisy. Would definitely return when in the area.

What an amazing pub. We have been visiting this area for so.e years and have always been recommended to get a meal here or even just spend an evening enjoying this pub, but we only visited for the first time recently. The service here was great and the staff offered some advice on the menu, we made our choices and waited for the food to arrive, whilst enjoying our drinks, surprisingly the wait was not long. Our meals were well presented and OMG, were they tasty. We were blown away with the quality of the food and the value for money. Now I see why all our friends recommend we visit the The Lamb... we will definitely be coming regularly and I will highly recommend anyone else reading this stops off for a great meal. Just visited here again and it has been taken over with new management. Well, never fear, it is just as good, if not better.

First time visiting The Lamb. Lovely forest side location, the interior is welcoming and the staff attentive. The food was a bit hit or miss, more of a miss for myself, ordering the lamb from the Sunday roast selection. The potatoes were overcooked and meat cut so thin it was hard to taste the lamb. The desert and roast trimmings were in good order, just a shame that overall it was underwhelming.

Visiting the area and came here for Father’s Day, roast was amazing, great service, very friendly, highly recommend

Fantastic place I would recommend to everyone, the food was delicious, best steak and ale pie I’ve ever had and it was completely full of meat! My partner enjoyed her roast chicken too. The waiters were lovely and polite and the atmosphere was friendly with mingling locals.

I can honestly say that the food was the best meal I have had in a very long time. I had the beef brisket. I could have eaten it again. Good value as well.

Group of 6. Some of our meals were lovely, others really not. So it depends on what you ordered. My daughter had Mac and cheese with pulled pork, this really wasn't pleasant tasting. The liver there wasn't much of it to be honest.

Just ok, outside back needs smartening up, used to be great with hanging baskets....

My friends and I went to The Lamb for a Sunday roast today. The pub is located just within the New Forest in a picturesque location. We had a roast lamb and roast pork lunch. The food was very nice and the staff are a credit to the pub.

Food was very good,but roast beef could have been better,some tasted pre cooked & reheated.

We just wanted to say what great food we had last night, although the service was slower than they would have like due to unforeseen circumstances, they looked after us very well and we will be returning. Thank you.

My first time visiting with my uncle. It was a Monday so no need to book. A beautiful location with free parking opposite. I imagine in the summer these spaces will fill fast and booking essential. I had chicken roulade and it was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. My uncle had the liver and bacon which he said was tasty too. The two female staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

Always a great Sunday roast in a wonderful location!

I visited for lunch on my Birthday on 14 March 24. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a good selection of food and we asked if they did a smaller portion for my Mum, which they happily did. The food was tasty and quickly served. A great location to see ponies and donkeys in the New Forest and well worth a visit

I wish the new management all the best of luck in turning around the pub. Still got a way to go but I am sure there will be big improvements.

Perfect pub, wonderful service from Bethany and Dan, mind blowing playlist on a Wednesday lunchtime. Fresh and flavourful sausages and mustard mash, portion was generous and I was still able to walk up to Piper's Wait after cleaning my plate. If you're really lucky you'll see the pigs on the green through the window by the fire!

Had a really lovely meal at The Lamb with their new menu. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Staff and management were so friendly. Would definitely recommend and will be going back soon!

Had a fantastic meal at the weekend. Delicious food and large portion sizes. The pies were proper pies with pastry all the way around (not just a dish with a pastry lid)! All the staff were really friendly. Will definitely eat here again.

Really lovely traditional forest pub, cosy and welcoming, we had a great Sunday lunch, proper roast, great service too.

Real good heart pub food. Had the pie of day (ham and leek) and it was great. Bit chunks of ham with plenty of chips on side. Great portion size too. Will certainly return.

2nd visit here. Very good food. Decent portions. Had the 3 meat roast which filled my up however always space for a chocolate brownie.

Brilliant evening celebrating a 30th birthday! I organised for my sister to have a surprise 30th birthday meal at The Lamb Inn-Nomansland. They allowed us to have a separate section of the pub to allow for decorations/cake, it was a spacious area away from other customers. They allowed us to put some decorations up as well as a table for the birthday cake. The service was superb and super quick, considering that there were fifteen people to serve. Everyone at the meal enjoyed their food and said how generous the portion sizes were. When it came to the cake, the staff assisted with giving us a cake knife and turned off the lights to sing happy birthday. Everyone had a brilliant evening and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to organise a celebration meal. Thank you to all of the staff for making my sisters birthday so special.

Just went for a drink, but everything was clean and inviting, we will go back for a meal soon as the menu looked very good. It's very easy to find and lots of available parking.

Another nice forest pub, drinks wise it was much more reasonably priced than I thought it would be ! Have eaten here before and it was nice, we were so tempted to stay for food this time as everytime a plate went past us it looked and smelled amazing but unfortunately we were booked elsewhere....we will be back though 👍

I ate here the other evening with my family. The food was delicious & the staff were very friendly, helpful & accommodating. My son is a ceoliac, so we had lots of questions but all were answered quickly & accurately meaning he could enjoy a really lovely meal. One of the best he's had out.

The service is friendly and fast, the food is delicious and the price is reasonable. It is located next to the forest, with convenient transportation and pleasant scenery.

The pub is nice, absolutely incredible location with lovely forest walks on the door step, the nearby footpaths lead to romantic beauty and peaceful silence. The food at the pub is not very good. It's ok. The price is high, but the quality is not. I've had bellypork, burgers, and pie, all of which were overcooked. The fish and chips (my wife had) was very heavy, and the tartar sauce was just mayo! Not a great selection of ales either, but the larger was refreshing. Staff are nice and were really quick to serve. I think one of the main alarm bells in terms of food is just how much choice there is on the menu. There's chilli, burgers, curry, roasts, and a few others. A simple menu is always better. I can't speak for the entire menu and the place and staff are lovely so worth a visit even if you don't eat.

We camped 5 mins walk down the road from this pub and went both nights we were there. We went with our daughter and received a very nice welcome, had amazing service and delicious food. Good menu with classic pub options (plus child menu) as well as a specials board. Would definitely visit again

Great pub, smashing pies, good beer, friendly staff, lovely walks, what's not to like? My Australian visitors commented, months later, how good their meal here was in comparison to the many other establishments they had visited in their time in the UK

Nice little cosy pub. The staff were polite and helpful. Food very nice and tasty. Just one little criticism I was looking forward to having crushed sautéed potatoes with my belly pork but when it arrived I had just boiled new potatoes 😔 having said that the pork was delicious and cooked to perfection.

A good drive from Oxford, we decided to go to Mudeford Query. After a good day, we wanted some food, and after visiting The Lamb on 2 other occasions, We have never been disappointed. It is a bit of a drive but worth it ! Great food, good beer, and very pleasant staff.

Good wholesome food at pub lunch. Service and food consistently of a good standard during our visits. Atmosphere somewhat spoilt by a small noisy customers dog but that’s not the pubs fault!

Not great food not served all-day had to go elsewhere

After a walk on a frosty winters day the log fire was really appreciated. The docor is unusual. Food and service from the bar staff and servers excellent, catering for vegans, veggies and carnists. We almost left though due to the horrible, offensive attitude of the landlord to when discussing vegan options hence one star lost for service/atmosphere. Would go again but avoid the landlord.
