Delicious food, massive portions, lovely friendly people

This is the perfect spot. We stopped here for lunch on our way to center parcs and had a gorgeous lunch. The staff were very friendly and the location is stunning and peaceful.

Very good food and service. Riverside position.

Another enjoyable meal. Been there 5 o6 times. Never disappoints.

Popped in on way back from day out as our normal pub has shut. Excellent Service, friendly. Food very good. Worth the detour off the A36! Beer garden right next to river.

Managed to fit us in last minute on a busy Friday eve! Great/huge portion sizes. Would definitely recommend the mussels & ribs. Lovely service, cute location.

We held the reception after my mother’s funeral at the Prince Leopold Inn and I have to say that the service and food was outstanding. I have never had such delicious finger food before - well done the Chef. The staff were kind and efficient and there was nothing to fault at all. Thank you everyone at the Prince Leopold Inn for making a sad day an uplifting and happy celebration!

Food was delicious A complaint the coffee cups we had were only half filled with coffee and milk It was this that stopped a 5*

Had a brilliant Sunday lunch here, you definitely need to book and parking could be a bit of an issue but the food was absolutely fantastic!

Sunday lunch party of 5 with 2 large dogs. Accommodated well at a suitable table. Service was good. Food was great - very enjoyable with ample portions. A star removed for the following; 1. We rang the day before to enquire about vegetarian options and advised a nut roast would be available (excellent as the veggie dish advertised wasn't liked) . Turned up to find this was not the case. Ended up with the usual Sunday veg with a vegetarian gravy. 2. We discussed having a bottle of white wine and pinot grigio was favoured. Next thing we know is a bottle bought to the table without any wine list option which would have been nice. Wine was good though. All in all I would visit again when in the area.

Next level pub lunch. It took us forever to choose what we wanted because every option looked utterly delicious. We had a burrata sourdough starter, with lamb kofta and swordfish steak mains. The menu is torturous, good luck choosing which delicious meal you're going to have!!! Staff were friendly, helpful and informative, and the venue itself was like the picture postcard of the ideal summer pub garden. The river (and dogs splashing in it) provided fantastic views when sipping on our drinks.

Really good lunch, rather too large portions though. Very good service and beautiful surroundings. Do book!

Lovely lovely spot, and a beautiful roast, every part of it was great, the roast beef, the veg on the side, the gravy and superb cauliflower cheese! Love it!

What a fab pub lunch - nice chap took our order over phone as we were arriving a bit late for kitchen, wonderful steak frites and unique and lovely club sandwich - all by the river alongside the pub dog Dexter - thank you Prince Leopold team for a lovely lunch!

6 yrs ago, didn't have the best. However, today...AMAZING, roast dinner. busy, but good service,food BRILLIANT, and staff perfect. Glad we came back, and will be back again for their weekday menu.

Roast is just perfect ' try it and your return ' plus but stateside pint and Butcombe great

The Leopold is consistently excellent. We've been going for meals here for special occasions for the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. Service is great, food outstanding and atmosphere superb. Dexter the black labrador is like a grandfather clock, a gentle firm fixture, always in the background so sweet gentle and welcoming too 🐾

Quite expensive but fabulous place. The dishes were tasty, we were sitting in the garden with an awesome river view. The dog Dexter is amazing 😍

A very enjoyable stay in superb surroundings. Staff were excellent.

Had a lovely meal at the Orince Leopold. Large portions, good menu choice. Only downside was they were very slow taking the order, waited 40 mins to have to go and get someone. Other than that, very good.

Service can be slow and not very attentive, quite cramped around the table and very loud due to poor acoustics. Strange dog kept sitting next to us throughout the meal. It's ok but not outstanding.

The BEST SUNDAY ROAST ive ever had. Celebrated with family for my dads 80th. A wonderful memory. The food, staff, location, atmosphere and service were top notch. I will return. A nod to all the staff ... excellent

Only visited for food with a friend, but will def return with my wife. Was very busy and perhaps a little under resourced thus the 4 on service. Though will be clear team working very hard Food and menu excellent, ducks livers amazing and steak perfectly cooked and very tasty.

I great little hidden gem with a country vibe! The PLI accommodated for 9 for our evening dining, most had starters ranging from breads, olives and oils to mussels. For main I personally had the wagyu burger, and like everyone else at the table, thoroughly enjoyed my food! Would recommend to anyone in the area and would definitely return! Thanks, guys.

Just Fabulous. The food was wonderful. The staff and service amazing. A lovely atmosphere. We will make that our place to go. Brilliant.
