Popped in for a quick pint after a walk along the canal. The welcome was lovely. Sat us next to the fire and even offered to drop us back to our motorhome. That's what you call service.

Cute little country pub with friendly staff and delicious food 😋 I've eaten here a few times and would highly recommend if you're in Devizes. Fresh seasonal menu with great fish & seafood options. Very cosy environment with a real fire in one of the rooms.

Not stayed there (yet) Had a wonderful Sunday lunch there 24.11.2024. Lovely food, very generous portions. Incredibly pleasant and helpful and fun staff. The whole experience was wonderful. We will be back.

Owner managed makes a big difference. Chippy treats you like a human, great food, selection of ales and surroundings. I prefer seafood to meat and this is the place. Lovely fresh breakfast and comfortable rooms with some nice touches (fresh milk in your own fridge). Hospitality as it should be.

Amy the manageress was very friendly & welcoming, her colleague Lotti was also very friendly. A quaint cosy little pub, serving up good food & drinks. It also has a few rooms for people to stay.

Friendly welcome from kind and efficient crew. The food is delicious and the kids menu is not all beige!!! Kids also looked after v v well. Plus there’s a garden to keep them entertained and it’s away from the road.

Foodie pub perfection! The most exquisite seafood and shellfish, fantastic Sunday lunches, a warm proper hospitality welcome and the most loveliest of surroundings. Visiting the area? Book a table for a special lunch or evening meal, you won’t be disappointed. Do book though as gets busy and, not always open mid afternoons. Lovely beer garden and dog (and cat!) friendly.

Let's start with the delightful, warm welcome from Chippy. So welcoming! We felt like great friends. Then there is the dinner. We chatted with the chef who recommended the whole fish, and we went with his advice. The freshest and best cooked fish I've had in YEARS! "Everything was brought in fresh this morning." Yep, I reckon it was. The desserts looked good, too, and we settled on the English cheese board with Port from a very special decanter. Finally, the room. The room itself was very large, quaint, and characterful. Nice comfy bed, and delightful clawfoot bath. The only drawback is the road noise. Please eat here. We drove for three hours to get here and were very pleased we did! PS What an amazing breakfast!

Exceptional service and great food from the lovely staff

Fish and chip night was fantastic, food delicious as always, excellent value and yummy puddings too. Staff friendly and helpful what’s not to love.

My wife and I went out walking the dogs, and popped in for a couple of cool ciders, as it was hot we went into the beer garden, well we weren't expecting that, it was absolutely beautiful, so the next day we went back for a pub lunch must say it was lovely, it is also dog friendly 🐾🐾🐾🐾

You don't have to be near the coast to enjoy beautiful seafood! This country pub is has a wonderful cosy feel, not too many tables so you can actually hear yourself talk over dinner, if you're looking for an intimate dining experience this is for you, staff are welcoming and friendly.

Very delicious food, catered for my daughter and her dairy intolerants. Highly recommend pasta night. Nice cosy pub.

The service was very good they couldnt have been more helpful. All of the food was really nice and high quality. My only complaint would be the portion size as i was still hungry after the 3 courses, the crab cakes and brownie were very small in size.

Had a delicious 3 course meal. My mom only eats fish and it's hard to find places with good fish. Everything was cooked beautifully. Even got scallops with the roe (we did ask for it to be kept on, it's the best bit!) Brilliant service too. Is pricey but where isn't these days and for fresh fish too
