The best restaurants in Tewkesbury South West

Having been a regular customer for years visiting in large groups. I felt confident I could order a collection via ‘Just Eat’ checked out as a guest after placing the order. But when I attempted to change the collection time on line it was impossible. Even after phoning the restaurant several times to check if they had the order both myself and my husband were told no order had been made and as I was on the phone did I want to re-order. I said no thank you I would get back to them. Later that evening I received a txt message saying my order was ready for collection- I attempted to respond to the txt but couldn’t - it was an unknown mobile phone number. Later again I got a phone call saying your order is ready. I tried to explain I had been told I had placed no order on several occasions earlier in the evening only to be told you ordered it food is made and it’s paid for. I requested a refund as I had been told there was no order only to be told this wasn’t going to happen and to speak with the card company I had paid for the order either. Extremely shocked at their response and would not recommend ordering as there is clearly a problem with their system and the lack of consideration- given we have been regular customers has demonstrated their lack of care for customers. We won’t be going again

A great find. I was too late today for the bobotie but had an excellent goats cheese on ciabatta sandwich. Helpful and polite staff.

Called in with a small group out on a cycle ride. Coffee and cake were great, and staff were friendly and efficient.

Have lived in Brockworth for the last 12m and never visited until last week. We’ve been missing out! Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food was great. Prices are reasonable. Perfect spot for a good breakfast.

This is a gem of a find. We were staying in our caravan and had Sunday lunch here. The owners have created a quirky ambience. The food itself was outstanding, large meat portions, huge Yorkshire puds and amazing roast potatoes. All home cooked. Vegetables were perfectly cooked and a good selection. We could not manage a pud but the ones we saw looked amazing. Meal with 2 drinks each (2 wines and 2 soft drinks) £50.

Our experience at the restaurant was amazing. The staff very friendly, polite, smart and so helpful. Food exquisite, and the restaurant itself so clean. We will definitely go here again.

After a long walk we arrived just before closing. We asked if they were still serving coffee and they welcomed us in. Very friendly staff. Lovely cafe. Scones delicious. Would definitely go back

Nos topamos con la vieja panadería en busca de un vino caliente en un día de mucha tormenta. La intención era tomar un par de copas y luego volver a nuestro alojamiento para prepararnos para la cena en un restaurante diferente. Lo que en realidad sucedió es que terminamos amando la vieja panadería tanto que cancelamos nuestra reserva de cena, nos quedamos toda la tarde y cenamos allí en su lugar! El personal encantador, el espacio acogedor y la comida maravillosa era exactamente lo que queríamos y todos estábamos de acuerdo en que sin duda nos traería de vuelta a Winchcombe en el futuro! ¡Gracias!

Ideally placed opposite the Porsche garage! Consistently good quality food, cooked well. Always friendly staff {even when very busy} as are other diners. Good range of meals on offer but they will customise combinations.

The best quiche I have ever had, gorgeous food, definitely recommend, if I am ever back in Tewkesbury I will be back, Thankyou!

Ordered drinks, dipped donut, cookie, cupcake and takeaway cheese scone. Had to remind them about the cookie, was given an iced donut, not a dipped one (but let that pass). Reminded them twice about the takeaway cheese scone, by which time they had sold out. What we did get was tasty

Visiting Chicago from DC and so so jealous I don’t have a spot like Rose’s in my neighborhood. I was alone, but didn’t feel alone. Amazing staff, food, and music. Highly recommend the brisket! I was nervous about it because I’m from Texas but it exceeded my expectations. 10/10!

This is a lovely find tucked away in the new quadrangle on Gotherinton lane. Just popedin for lunch and so pleased I did. Everything was fine and they deserve a few more visitors
