The best restaurants in Tewkesbury South West

Poor service. I am a regular visitor to Costa coffee shops and I was disappointed with the service I received.7 I asked for an extra hot flatwhite but got luke warm. When I took it back , I had to wait, along with another customer for at least five minutes while the staff were out in the back laughing and joking between themselves. I didn't get an apology either and I was very polite to the girl who served me.

Called in with the wife and had a regular latte, flat white and a carrot cake between us. All very nice but I’m sorry £12.25 is a bit steep!

Best pizza ever, perfect in everyway. Went to Domino's they tried to charge us £70 for 2 pizzas and garlic bread. We had 3 pizzas, 2x buffalo wings, potato tots, bacon and Cheese sticks all for £40!!

Food was OK. Chicken Shashlik & Rice & Naan & Poppadoms & Alo Boonda were all nice. Sauce in Masala was very red/pink! Sauce in Shaktora Lamb dish was delicious but Lamb was very tough & grisly, sadly. The biggest disappointment of all was the multitude of plastic containers!!! Only the Naan & the Poppadoms escaped the plastic containers. We live a bit too far away to simply bring it back for re-use, and I’m not sure - I wasn’t told and I haven’t read - whether SLK wants its customers to bring back the plastic cartons??? It’s all Tupperware type cartons for the Starters & Mains & Rice, and I’m not sure whether that type of plastic is Recyclable either. What’s wrong with Aluminium Foil takeaway containers & cardboard lids? A few improvements and environmentally-friendly packaging and I’d go again.

Lovely views into the Cotswolds; outdoor tennis court available! Properly set up for safety/ Covid measures - friendly service, decent beers; and very good lunchtime menu - we had hoisin duck with pancakes; tortellini (veggie); coffees to follow. We sat in roomy understairs of pub; Conservatory did NOT look safe in terms of number of tables/ people packed in to space. Therefore suggest choose table near to entrance area

Marvelous service with cakes to match

Really great local Chinese restaurant, good prices and a decent selection as well as some good meal deals. Last I checked they didn't take card, and also no delivery service which is a real shame. Despite them being the closest to us, we tend to order more regularly with another restaurant purely because they deliver.

The food was good and hot but was missing the cake and custard from the order.

Well yet again not let down booked a table for Sunday Dinner Food was Amazing as usual and Plentiful Staff Excellent couldn't do enough for you first class service Steve the Barman was on form and had a good selection of Ciders on Sale and even offered a taste test Well it was a lovely afternoon and weather was glorious to sit in there garden after our meals Thanks Again and See You Soon All

We love it here; wish it was walking distance for us. Declan is an amazing mixologist; he makes brilliant cocktails. I’ve just tried his new cocktail creation: THE DIRECTOR; delicious. He is also great with customers. We’ve been delighted to, more recently, meet Craig; a great asset to the Bar. We are also regular attendees at the Quiz nights. All in all a fantastic venue.

Really lovely home made food, and run by very friendly and welcoming staff. 😁

First time ordering from the restaurant, the portion sizes are good for the price and the food was very nice however the poppadom was soggy.

Disappointed pub will shut over the winter

Me and my family went in and ordered quickly as we knew what we wanted, the mixed grill, we waited for around an hour for the food to arrive and it was awful. Burnt chips, uncooked peas, overcooked onion rings and the meat was the worst. I ordered rare and it was incinerated, the chicken was so dry I nearly choked on it, and the gammon was the most plain thing ever. The tables and chairs were filthy the staff were unprofessional and I couldn't even finish my meal it was so bad. Never going again.
