Lovely views into the Cotswolds; outdoor tennis court available! Properly set up for safety/ Covid measures - friendly service, decent beers; and very good lunchtime menu - we had hoisin duck with pancakes; tortellini (veggie); coffees to follow. We sat in roomy understairs of pub; Conservatory did NOT look safe in terms of number of tables/ people packed in to space. Therefore suggest choose table near to entrance area

Just popped in for a drink. Covid precautions taken very seriously but still a welcoming, friendly reception on arrival. Stunning views and great drink selection. Didn’t eat but the menu and the food coming out looked great. Will come here for food soon. Stunning views.

Although very busy the food and service could not have been better. Staff without exception were helpful and diligent. Even though our table wasn’t ready when we arrived the team had it made up the moment it was available. Our waiter remembered complex orders without fault and was always scanning the room to make sure we were all well fed and watered! Food was delicious and plentiful. Huge thanks to the team for such a great evening.

great drinks and quick service, they have handled the virus very well with a good system with a separate entrance and exit. Very good

Great service, food, ambience whats more to like. Four of us visited during the Cheltenham Festival and found a great place up the Gretton Road. This came after visiting a horror show in the high street the day before. Sweet potato and coconut soup £7, Cornish mussels Marinière £8/£14. The mains were just as good Moroccan spiced lamb tagine £18 and Pan fried fillet of sea bream with chateau potatoes, £17 among the highlights. Good selection of beers, Peroni and a good wine menu. The staff, all of them were a credit to the owner/manager. See you next year.

Have visited this country pub many times over the past few years and alway been impressed with the food and quality of the staff. Our visit on Saturday was very disappointing. Pleasant and polite but inexperienced waiting staff but the service was very slow even though the place was not busy quiet. The food was poor by past standards and we got the distinct impression that the pub was under new ownership. Will not be going back for a while when hopefully it will have improved as it is in a fantastic location

Found the Old Elm via the Good Beer Guide and rang them to confirm a slot for Sunday lunch. Not a problem with booking and they are also dog friendly too. We tried the Wye Valley HPA when we arrived it was in perfect condition. We had pre ordered our meat choices when we rang and our dinners came in around 10 mins. The food was excellent we had beef and lamb and there was loads together with loads of fresh veg. It was all round superb and great value. We finished off with a couple of puddings that were too superb. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

The BEST Tiger Prawns around! We went to visit the Great Wall Restaurant as we knew it had been under a new management and keen to see the new results. Outstanding, the place was so busy but that created a great atmosphere, and the food coming out of the kitchen was delicious, the staff were very attentive and super friendly. There was five of us dining and we had a massive selection of dishes, the crispy beef, melt in the mouth, the vegetarian dishes were fresh and tasty, the spare ribs meat dropping off the bone. We were all impressed with the white and red wine options and of course the Cobra beer on draught got no complaints. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be going back again. Perfect location to explore the lovely streets of Tewkesbury and a stones throw away from the Abbey and the River.
