Booked a table of 8 for lunch today. The food was very nice. The two ladies who served us were both attentive & friendly. Well done Bri & Julie. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in Gloucestershire.

Part of a party of 11. The food was very good and our waitress Lizzy worked very hard to make our evening special.

Difficult to share anything as it was closed - at 11:45 in the morning on a Monday. I stopped to charge my car and wanted to get a coffee. Wouldn't plan to go there again 😕

The restaurant was deserted, and yet we were seated right beside other customers. No privacy for them, nor us. Well, we got up and moved to one of the million other options. We didn't feel like we could move again but there were cobwebs on the window by the table. When ordering food, the waiter didn't ask us if we wanted drinks, and after taking the initiative to ask for a J2O for myself, he started to walk off before my partner could order. Had to raise my voice to grab his attention. The food came quickly, but was nothing special. Could have been better for the price. The environment while we were eating was comfortable. The cherry on top had to be that we were compelled to stay for another 30 minutes at least because they didn't want our money. We asked for the bill, which the same waiter walked away from after dumping it on our table. It should have been obvious that we were looking to pay there and then. After some time had passed, we asked at the bar if we could just pay and leave, but were ushered back to our table awkardly to wait another ten minutes before the waiter finally arrived with the card machine. One good thing is that they accept Blue Light Card, but be warned the Wi-Fi in there is so shoddy you will hardly be able to load the app.

Had a lovely Sunday evening visit, food was great and had excellent service from Graham, very impressed, will come back!

The food was very good here and hearty portions! The service was very good and the food came quite quickly after ordering. They also had a nice assortment of beer ale and ciders. Look forward to our next visit while in the UK!

Second visit: Very dirty food on the carpets and tables left uncleared. Very poor hygiene standards. Not good enough. Food ok but First visit: We had a very good meal at this large Beefeater. The steaks were very well cooked and very tasty. The restaurant has a large bar area service Doom Bar and London Pride which was a nice surprise. The restaurant is adjacent to a Premier Inn and therefore can get very busy. I would recommend booking in advance to avoid a wait. There is a large free car park next to the eatery.

A great little cafe well worth a visit

We stopped for breakfast. We waited ages to have our cooked food order to be taken. But that was nothing compared to the wait for it to arrive. When it did finally arrive it was luke warm as if it has been sat ready for an age and not been brought to our table. They had no clean cups for tea or coffee and no clean plates which we had to ask for and then wait while they were washed and brought out to us.As for the rest of the breakfast, it was just ok. I could completely understand all of the issues we encountered if the place was busy, but it was NOT just lazy staff who were spending more time chatting than doing their job. This is the 2nd time we have stopped at a beefeater for breakfast and will be the last, as both have been very poor experiences. Which is a shame as the brewer fayre breakfast always seems much nicer. I can't understand how there is such a difference between the 2.

I go for a Breakfast every Saturday. Today came here for the first time. Ordered the all you can eat Breakfast. 10 minutes later. A waitress brought 2 full English breakfast down to where we were sat. Then returned to the kitchen area with the 2 plates as if there was something missing. I watched her put the 2 plates down on the counter. Another 10 minutes went by. Then the same plates of food were brought to our table. Surprise surprise. The food was cold. The poached eggs were hard. No hash browns. When I went to pay after. I mentioned the problems. The only feedback was ' I will tell the chef of your comments'. This was the worst Breakfast I have had this year. To be honest. It was discusting. I payed for the Breakfast. I wont be going back.

Ordered 2 ultimate Sunday dinners at 13.30,its an upgrade on normal price you pay 4.98 extra per meal for beef lamb and half chicken the server said there was no half chickens left but could upgrade the beef so said ok. When it came there was a small piece of beef that didn't even cover my palm and 3 little bits of lamb that equaled the same size. No Yorkshire and the brocoli was stems no flower head. Husband asked what was going off to another server who checked the order he said he could get us more lamb and a Yorkshire. He came back said they had run out of Yorkshire gave us two small pieces of the lamb that were more fat than meat. On paying the bill they knocked off one 4.98. Should have gone to toby carvery. If I had lived in the area def wouldn't be back.

Unable to offer review as restaurant was closed upon arrival. Nothing on the website to indicate a problem, so after driving over 25 miles we were extremely annoyed to find a simple note on the door saying closed due to unforeseen circumstances. Went to toby carvery nearby instead and will not bother again !!

I would have rated the service and food as five stars, except for two reasons. 1) A temporary sign was put on the side door with an arrow pointing to the front door. This sign was an error and just needed to be removed to restore order. Trying to be helpful I pointed this out to the maitre'd, who made me feel I was being an awkward customer. All she had to do was walk a few paces and look. We noticed many families going to the locked front door. 2) The bacon I ordered for my breakfast didn't arrive. I quick "is everything alright with your meal" would have solved this. I hardly ever leave reviews, certainly not bad ones. A simple "I'm sorry sir", checking and removing the sign would have saved many customers an unnecessary walk.

Had a wonderful pre holiday breakfast with the family, Jo and the team took care of us as soon as we walked through the door, great selection of food, piping hot, good selection of drinks. Could not ask for a better service

Unlimited breakfast, arrived at 8am. Dirty plates and cups, had to go through them to get a clean one. Had to order cooked breakfast. Beans were cold, mushrooms cold. First set of poached eggs solid, second undercooked, chef refused to cook toast for an order of poached eggs on toast for an 8 year old. Bacon you could see through, overcooked sausages. When leaving, went to entrance/bar, the male there stood on his phone leaning on the bar. Our son fell over, no reaction, we then asked if we could pay, we were told to see the blonde girl serving customers in the restaurant, she was lovely throughout our visit, we paid but was advised we could of paid at the bar, clearly the male’s phone was more important. Ladies toilets smelt like a Porto loo, one toilet closed, no toilet roll. Worst beefeater in the UK. Good job kids eat for free !!!! Only good items were on continental breakfast.

Good service, good food, good atmosphere. Lovely place

Very disappointed with our meals. Very poor quality with items missing. They were very short staffed and had run out of lots of items, chips being the main one. Won't be rushing back.

Food and visit was okay and service was quite good. Starters are somewhat boring with just starter and a BBQ Dip with pretty much everything no garnish. It is what is on the menu but around the £6 mark doesn’t give the best value! Probably wouldn’t bother if returned. Mains were fine. We did add a Mac & Cheese for £4.29 and whilst never imagined this being huge, it was served in a very small pot (something you would expect to serve a sauce) and had enough for two maybe three forks full! The previous beefeater menus always packed with options but these seem to have been cut back in recent years now basically if you don’t want a steak or burger you have about 4 or 5 other choices. Can’t blame the onsite management teams but with less locations now hopefully Beefeater can build the positive brand awareness it had twenty years ago of good hearty food at value for money prices. My parents wanted to go to Beefeater as always made the trip to Ross, Hereford or even Longford and the Quays which have all been closed in recent months.

Went to get breakfast and was turned away as hadn’t booked. Restaurant under half full but the staff couldn’t be bothered to sit 2 of us. Business must be booming!

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived. We were seated quickly and drinks followed shortly after that. We were told there would be a delay in service. The staff were run off their feet but nevertheless they were polite and professional. Food was served piping hot and very tasty. Shame to see the attitude of some customers and them being very rude to the staff who were all doing their best. Keep smiling guys there are some customers who appreciate your hard work. Well done and thank you.

After a long wait for food in a 1/4 full restaurant my son asked for mac and cheese and it tasted like fish pie filling with pasta. We all tasted it but couldn't finish it. My double chicken burger for over £18 was very embarrassing. A little uninviting coleslaw dropped on the plate, and a few sliced of soft tomato inside the roll. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. I can't believe there was smashed glass on the entrance to the play area that hadn't been sorted. Please, if the chef needs to learn how to do a burger, ask Bear grills only 5 mins away and half the price.

This place is absolutely ridiculous had us Standing around for over twenty minutes before we were even seated , then another fervor 20 30min before we was seen for are order for food and drinks. The starts are came out pretty quick , but still did not have our drinks. Then the main course What's absolutely cremated We have to complain about it.They asked if they wanted us to change for another one but when we sat around for nearly 2hr from start to finish we ended up just leaving most of it and walked out. Would definitely not recommend going here.

Visited today with my wife, asked if they had a table for two, a staff member started to check. Out comes another staff member (later found out it was the manageress) No! We’re fully booked. No effort to help. Rude and abrupt. The restaurant area was about 10% occupied. If we were starving, we wouldn’t return. Appalling service.

Very disappointed with this pub went over the weekend choice in drinks and snacks were limited. Horrible smell in the bar horrible so we sat outside looks very run down now.

Never eaten at a beefeater before, now I know why,,, what a complete mess, 3 of us ordered the breakfast, wish we hadn't, table next to us got theirs and straight away sent it back and walked out refusing to pay,, ours arrived after 40 min wait and it wasn't busy, poached eggs were raw in middle with raw edd white and water all over plate, sausages were burnt, beans cold and mushrooms aren't even worth mentioning, also black pudding not even cooked,,, perhaps they should employ a chef,,, just don't bother !!!

Of the 6 meals 3 were missing items by the time they were brought out the food was cold. Mushrooms looked like they had been peeled and chopped and put on the plate, bacon looked like it has been flash fried and was almost raw and the black pudding was shiny, undercooked and full of fat. Not 1 member of staff approached us to ask about the food manager not interested just stood around on shop floor drinking monster and left to young waitress to deal with customers. Chef unhappy that people complained items were missing. Absolutely terrible experience and will not be back.

Although the staff told us they were short of staff for the night, service was still pretty quick. Food was served not too slow as well! Food was a bit overpriced but that seems standard for the franchise.

We had a lovely meal at the Twelve Bells, hte best steak I have had for some time. Our Waitress, Rosie, was delightful as well and she took great care of us. A most enjoyable evening.

Can’t argue about the Food as it was amazing, however as soon as we were seated the awful service began. We ordered sweet potato fries with one of our meals and when it arrived we let the woman know it was incorrect but she said we were the ones wrong even though it was on the menu, she said it has never been served here for 2 years. I then asked for ketchup and the woman huffed as if it was an inconvenience so I apologized even though she asked if we needed any sauces! We blew that off and continued to eat our meal and ordered some more drinks where she was rude as I asked a question about the 2 for £12 as I know it’s normally 2 for £12 for the same drink and she got angry at us saying she was fed up of being asked this question, and said no it’s obviously for 2 different cocktails. Once we finished our meal my partner asked for the dessert menu as she had left us for a while without asking if we wanted dessert but when the question was asked she seemed infuriated so we left dessert and asked for the bill. She brought the bill on a receipt that took 20 mins to get the machine and we could see her just talking to her colleges. It was awful service no doubt but lovely food. Wouldn’t come here again mainly for the lack of service.

Ribs requested without sauce, I didn't taste the meat, too spicy. Served with very spicy sauce, still diarrhea the next day.

6 of us went here for Father's Day breakfast, 3 adults, 3 under16's. We had booked in advance, the table was ready on time. The cereals, baked goods, choice of breads for toasting, or not, tea, coffee, fruit juice, yoghurt, fresh fruit cocktail are all help yourself. Staff take your order for cooked items, order as much as you like and they prepare this while you enjoy whatever your choices were from the self service options. Price is super reasonable, especially if you have children, every full paying adult the price includes 2 children up to 16 years of age. The restaurant was very busy (it was Father's Day) and there was lots of noise from happily chatting families. Despite being busy staff coped very well and service was excellent. We had a great experience on the whole, aside from being very noisy.

Understaffed, only two waiting Inc Manager. 20 min wait to order. 2nd night refused table as not booked although told on arrival 3 days previous in Premier attached no need. Told each part nothing to do with each other despite it is part of meal deal by pub manager. Breakfasts chaotic as everything running out , plates, milk, pastries etc.. I am a share holder and partner ex employee but counts for nothing. A tip turn sharp left out of car park and at top of hill on left a beutifull Pub and hotel that has all this does not.

This is a review solely for service we received the night we arrived at Premier Inn and not the breakfast we had in the Beefeater. We were meeting family for a drink at around 21:30 so we stood at the bar for 20 minutes waiting to get served, lady behind bar was serving a group of 10. Absolutely no acknowledgment that we were there, no greeting, no ‘I’ll be with you in a minute’, nothing. She finished serving the group asked us what we wanted and finished the sentence by telling us the she was calling time at 22:00 and they were the only drinks we could get, we were waiting for family to arrive so we ordered them a drink. We double checked on line for opening hours which were listed as normal pub/bar hours. If we had arrived 15 minutes later we would have got nothing. There was no explanation, no simple apology that maybe they were short staffed or something it just felt like she couldn’t be bothered to stay open and fancied an early night. Very poor service and something I’ve never seen before. Be warned if you arrive later and fancy a nightcap you may be disappointed, there’s nothing else nearby either.

The food has gone downhill,the salmon was over cooked, so was the burger,chips were cold,the gammon was very fatty. Considering the prices it was very disappointing.

Excellent value lunch time menu.

We had breakfast here whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door. The service was great and very friendly but we were disappointed with the things that they didn't have available that were advertised on the breakfast menu. The premises need a good clean too and refurbishment.

I booked a table for 21:00 on Saturday evening for 2 via their automated service. Arrived at 20:30, time for a drink and chill. By the time we asked for our table we were informed they'd stopped serving food at 20:45. Poor management, communication and no sense of customer service. Won't be going to a Beefeater again

It was OK, good service food so so, I felt it was expensive.

I took my grandson for a meal today for a birthday treat our table was booked for 12 pm there was another couple outside freezing as well as us 8 minutes past 12 Libby let us in she was so ignorant no apology I made a remark about opening the door late she just grunted and said yeh so rude

Average food and the worst ever hospitality i have ever experienced by a very rude and arrogant lady named Bri. (the so- called general manager of this place). She should not be working in this industry as she lacks the basic skills to be “polite” and have attitude to serve customers who pay 9£ for a “unlimited“ breakfast(as they sell) and she very arrogantly refuses to take order on the table and insists everyone of us(12 of us) to place order together and not call her again to place the order as she is busy serving other customers but forgot that we are her customers as well. Upon asking her to be polite, she screamed more and loud so other people around her can also hear her. She is the perfect example of being someone who can ruin person’s holiday mood in the morning. She talks very rude and loud and not ready to listen. She then go to each table and talk rubbish/bad about other people and brag her being “arrogant” and try to prover her correct. AVOID THIS LADY IF YOU HAD NO OTHER CHOICE BUT HAVE TO GO THIS PLACE.

The waiters are not helpful and they rush you to order, to eat and to pay. The food portion is small .

Amazing staff and that made the core difference esp., Jenny Anna and Rosie, who were spot on in delivering enhanced Customer experience, went out of their way to ensure I get a Hot meal, though the restaurant was shut..

Stayed at the Premier Inn on New Years Eve and had our breakfast at this place. Lady on front desk and running around everywhere was lovely. Hot breakfast was made to order and all great. Kids eat free so family of 4 cost £20 which is really good.

Excellent service here from attentive staff. Hadn't booked a table but didn't need to wait to be seated. Breaded mushroom starter was watery on the inside and the mushrooms were a bit chewy; the batter/crumb mix was very strong. Chicken wings starter was good. Lasagna main and Gammon mains were perfect and the triple fried chips crunchy and fluffy.

It's good and you definitely get what you pay for. Don't expect anything special, like ronseal, it does exactly what it says on the tin. Simplistic menu, with a surprising amount of choice on there. Definitely good on a budget.

Graham looked after us from start to finish, his service was impeccable and attentive. Eating out with kids can be difficult, but he made it much easier for us and providing us with with things like teaspoons for eating beans, etc without us even needing to ask. Food was really good a well, everything tasted fresh and it was really good value. Highly recommended and again, massive thank you to Graham!

Absolute Massive thank you to all the staff on Saturday 26th August. I arrived at 12 to set up for a family gathering for my father's birthday and straight away Adam and the other early staff were straight on hand to help me put together the tables and decorations how I had planned it and were on hand the entire time to help me and my family make sure my dad had the best possible time. The food was unbelievably nice. Many of us had steak and I complimented the kitchen staff on the way out as the steak was such good quality, very well cooked and was delicious. Literally the nicest I'd ever had. It was my first time here and my experience was absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much to you all for making my dad's days go so well

Great service by the team. Food ok. The only issue was that we were unable to swap garlic bread for chips. Charged for both!

Great pub! The food was amazing and it has a comfy atmosphere. The wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. The fish and chips were delicious and so was the burger.

Brilliant Sunday lunch. Had the Large, lunch, half a chicken, chunk of lamb and slices of beef. Well filling, the roast potatoes were superb,the meats moist and tender. Must go again, hopefully the service is a little quicker next time.
