Tesco Superstore in Tewkesbury

Cold uninviting store, please turn on/up the heating & then shoppers may spend more time browsing, potentially spending more.

I was recently visiting a friend in Bishops Cleeve when I popped into your store. I would like to express my gratitude towards a gentleman on checkouts named Jack. He served me and has outstanding customer service, and went beyond the call of duty to ensure I got exactly what I came into store for (especially as some shelves were empty) . I was having a bit of a bad day , and Jacks infectious, cheerfulness and chatty nature and smile certainly helped and was just what I needed. Jack should receive recognition for his excellent service. I noticed as I left the following customer also thanked him for being so helpful. Next time I’m in store I will certainly look out for his till. Many thanks.

A very helpful young lady called Tia helped me today by carrying a large, heavy bag to my car. I have back pain and she offered to help after seeing me struggle. I was very impressed with her caring attitude and the fact that she took time out to help me. Thank you Tia, your assistance was greatly appreciated.

I was very impressed by one of your staff today, who was on one of the tills ,her name was Kate and she showed extreme kindness to a Lady who had just paid for her Goods but was upset as she had just left her Huaband at home who has Cancer, she gave her a hug which meant a lot to her. Just visited Tesco's Bishops Cleeve, 10.15, shop was quiet and used the self-service till located right by the 2 assistants. Had problems with scanning. I had to call 1 assistant as the red light was flashing, which she eventually responded to, then the other assistant 3 times, she was so uncommunicative and miserable, each time. Next time I will go to a main till, or get home delivered.

Shop as expected. - 1 star: restricted car park - 1 star: trolleys are found all around local area, please put a system in place to make people return them.

Good store. Just your average Tesco's really. It also has a Costa coffee in it .

Great friendly staff and a good place to shop

Cracking staff, and always got what I need when I need it, I particularly like the large range of pet food offered, and the colleague I met down that isle when I was there was a delight and also very funny

Fruit and veg, are somewhat hit and miss, never very good and do not last very long, hardly any eggs as every numnuts go and buy more than they need, just an average convenient placed supermarket.

Good service but seemed to have several self service tills out of order at the time.

It's a Tesco, well stocked with everyday essentials

Despite customer services having a large sign saying they can help with club card they were better than useless. Their app is useless and their WiFi is non existent. Felt very let down.

Staff always make a store for me, and the staff at Cleeve are cracking. Always helpful and cheery

After walking the from the far end of the store, I asked an assistant where the basket till was, she was standing under a large sign saying basket till, she said rhere wasn't one and took great delight in directing me to a long self service cue, so much for customer service.

Empty fruit and veg section is becoming common place, especially after midday

Very poor customer service! (Lady) at the till was clearly having a bad day, so left with all my shopping in the till, will not be going back to this store again.

Most amazing fresh bread, unlike any of the other in house Tesco bakery’s…. I drive out of my Way & past two other Tesco stores to purchase my bread here, at Bishops Cleeve. Staff always happy to slice, the bread is so light & 5 🌟 quality, hats off to the in house baker, consistently perfect and excellent high quality products…..

The Tesco vaccine is actually insane like 3am although its not 3am but its still insane. Shout out to Craigy boy who knows insanity when he sees it. Shawn Sanbrooke is insane no cap me no tell no lie

Empty shelves whenever you visit, unhelpful staff, delivery lorries parking on the pavement making a public highway unusable putting people at risk when walking to the store and staff not caring and saying it's ok for delivery Arctic Lorries to park on the pavement and customers putting themselves at risk. So good help if you are elderly, vulnerable a young parent or a grandparent with a pram or pushchair or have any disability. Use the road which is busy to get to store. THE STAFF DO NOT CARE. WE KNOW WE REPORTED A INCIDENT THIS WEEK AND THE STAFF DONT CARE. Try Lidl across the road is our advice., Helpful staff, and shelves always full.

Walk in plenty of everything you need in a spacious air conditioned supermarket.

Decent, medium sized tesco with all the essentials. Large car park shared with various other businesses

I left my debit card at home and discovered this with a full trolley. Two lovely female assistants offered to put my food through the till AND pack it for me while I went home to get my card. This was SO kind and made my day-thankyou.

This is a big Tesco. Got a lot to offer for home supplies etc. Always a great supply of affordable plants too. Its my go-to Tesco and it's around the corner from my local Lidl. Never too busy either which is great.

Rude tesco colleague, and bought the manager over to watch us scan everything through even the bags 😂😂pathetic customer service. Plus there's nothing on the shelves disgrace to call that a tesco

Just been to Tesco in Bishop cleeve and used Gents toilet and they were filthy.

Most of the shelves quite empty. I feel like younger staff don’t want to be there. Often getting told off for being on their phones. Comments like “how should I know” don’t really help when a customer is asking for help! Otherwise not bad for picking up a few bits and pieces when needed.

Great staff always very helpful and friendly , great store.

What can I say but a huge thank you to Jim who is always greeting you with a smile. He makes my shopping trip so much more fun...would employ him tomorrow!

It's a supermarket. You can buy stuff. Everyone's a winner!

A lot of the female staff in here are incredibly rude, they are very brusque, lacking rudimentary customer care skills like smiling, making eye contact or even speaking at all when you make a purchase or require help at the self service machines

Absolutely love Tesco's return policy. They put full faith into the customers hands. I returned a tent due to a few marks and zipper was broken. Staff didn't question me and refunded the money into my account. Most companys wouldn't return or would definitely question alot. I was going to shop else where if they didn't accept the tent that I was returning. But I for sure will be shopping at tesco's more often and spending my money there for sure.

Can't fault the staff here at the moment. Difficult times for all of us, but staff are always helpful and positive. A huge thank you to all of you.

The store is staffed by rude children! Awful place. Use Lidl instead

Staff are friendly and polite. However, the store needs a good refurb as it looks very dated and scruffy. It is also always VERY cold, feel so sorry for the people on the tills as they always look freezing.

I'm so impressed with the provision for kids with allergies. A brilliant Free From Range with staff who are informed and really ready to help and answer questions. Really stellar effort. One for other supermarkets to follow.

Brilliant shop. Can be extremely busy!

Sadly they move things around way to frequently which makes it harder for the elderly or people who are fine in fimialr surroundings but start to get confused when things arent where they have been for the past 3 months. People like a quick shop knowing were things are stop moving them. Out of the 5 tesco i use this is the only one that does it. Shame

What can you say, it is a Tesco Supermarket, a good selection of produce, has a Costa coffee on site, Parking is difficult as serves all the other shops so if you want to park easily then go out of normal hours as it is open till midnight. Also has a bakery, fishmonger and butcher on site

Clean and reasonably well stocked.

Don't seem to have what you want when you want...lots of out of stick items on the promotions....and the old excuse while stocks last ....rather drive to asda or Sainsbury's

Too many chavs stealing the food and lucozades

The store is ok. Most of the staff are lovely. There are a few that block the Isles talking when supposed to be stacking shelves. Some staff are quite ignorant ( especially the lads in the bakery) 1 security bloke is very rude and puts you off shopping here. Carpark, absolute nightmare. Other than that, it's not bad ☺ oh and they need to check their fresh meat regularly as I won't buy my meat from here now. It's either really fatty and looks as if it's been chucked together or its going a very odd colour...

It's ok. It gets very crowded because it is not really big enough for the number of people here now. Staff are very nice and helpful

Yet another branch of the globally recognised Big T. The parking is great as there is a lot of it, the shop is big and the staff are friendly. They have all the regular Tesco goods and some 'cheap offers'. Although saying that I can't figure out how saving 15 pence on buying two things instead of one is such a big deal. But they manage to convince people that it's a super bargain so who am I to argue. I suppose supermarkets are all much of a muchness so there won't be many super savings that you can't pick up elsewhere. Also with Lidl just across the road you have an alternative to check out. (Unless you are one of those introverted snobs who thinks that only poor people use Lidl and you are above such things- believe me...I do know a couple of those types). But all and all Tesco are good at what they do so it's worth shopping here. Also, since they built up Bishops Cleeve there are now hundreds of local people so they need to be competitive with other local shops.

The store as a shop was fine but the toilets were disgusting. They looked like they hadn't been cleaned for days. The cleaners need to have some training on lifting the seat and cleaning under the pan.

Please expand your carpark as it's clearly not big enough for the amount of people that live in bishops cleeve anymore maybe when this store was first opened it was ample but now that the village has been developed you need to expand.

This store was build where Oldacres mill used to be , much prefer the old feed mill.

Usually quick service, however, store and surrounding areas not able to cope with quantity of people.

Called in,bought a few things looked at meat counter no one there,saw assistant serving someones n fish counter next door,the meat counter and cheese counter were separated by a chain so looked to the fish counter lady to serve me,waited whilst she served a lady,about ten minutes,expected to be served next but, another person came to fish counter and she was served first,so left and bought my steak in the butchers in Bishops Cleeve very bad customer service,ignoring customers visit no way to behave

Great shop. Wide range of goods and very convenient

Fab place to meet others in cleeve, always busy with lots of people to smile at and say hello to. Bump into some interesting characters, not sure why people are avoiding me.
