If anyone gives a bad review then they are probably a bad review type of person. I have used this restaurant for over 6 years and always 100% happy with the total customer experience.. The food is absolutely outstanding

Unfortunately, my food order was 20 minutes late - driver was dismissive of the lateness and rude. When I asked him what I could do about the lateness, he was dismissive and stated he could take the food back if that was my choice. I did not want him to return the food, I just wanted an explanation and apology. Sadly he offered neither. I did ask for his name but he refused, which was disappointing. Not a great experience for a first time order with spice master.

I order a chicken tikka starter, chicken tikka Main, mushrooms rice, chips and poppadoms. I received instead plain rice and no poppadoms. The meal was cold. Tomatoes and onion salad was not included. Plus there was a service charge that was not mention at the time of ordering. Not sure what the service charge was for , because I collected. Plus a charged for paper bag. I understand the prices going up I don't understand the standard of the food going down. I will not be ordering from spicemaster again.

Absolutely terrible customer service, food poor abd didn't deliver what they should have and wouldn't give a refund, do not use the dodgy takeaway, they are con artist

They lie. Simple. I asked to pay over phone by card but they refused card payment. Tax man should look into as they want cash only. Parts of order were then missing which we discovered after they had left with the cash. They then refused to refund the cash and said bank transfer only ! Scammers.

Didn’t follow instructions on order. That’s the 2nd time now

food arrived freezing cold and more and more potato seems to be getting added to the curry every week to bulk it up.. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE.. The food is great here so I will give one more chance to see if this can be corrected before I use another takeaway. Not happy at all.

probably the nicest curry I've ever eaten.. The flavours of the curry was amazin.. the naan , chips ,rice , onion bhiji all cooked perfectly and delivered nice and hot... Big well done to the chef and all the staff.. Will be ordering again this weekend.. 👏🏼👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 10/10

Ordered via Just Eat, at 6:55pm for a delivery at 8:15pm. That time came and went, so at 8:30pm used the help system on Just eat and the restaurant text me saying it would now be delivered at 8:45pm. That’s fine, we will wait till then, that time came and went. So at 9pm I requested a refund through Just Eat as this was nearly an hour delay and we ate food at home instead. 9:05pm the driver turns up, I explained I didn’t want the food as I had requested a refund due to the delay, he didn’t apologise, he just said they had been busy and he didn’t know about the time delay. The restaurant then got in contact and said they would not be refunding me as they were extremely busy last night. Poor service, will never use again, shame as it’s in our local. Thankfully, Just Eat were great and professional and have refunded me.

unfortunately the special instructions weren't read . My husbands curry consequently was disappointing. we also couldn't find Ceylon chicken on the just eat website 🤔

Food was delivered on time and for the most part tasted good, however in one of the parathas there was a small piece of blue plastic. I requested a refund for this item only and wanted to avoid writing a negative review, but the refund was refused as the order wasn’t ’showing as delivered’ when I submitted the complaint. On all levels it’s not acceptable from the restaurant for there to be something in the food, but also for just eat to dismiss the complaint as the system hadn’t updated.

Been ordering from Spice masters for years but I was very disappointed tonight. I ordered our food at 6pm with an estimated delivery time of 7:10pm which was then changed to 7:25-7:45pm without notifying me. It eventually got delivered at 7:55pm and by that time it was cold. Some sort of compensation would be appreciated!

Food was delicious but delivered so early we had to keep in the oven for our guests to arrive. Allowing a time to be specified is pretty pointless when it’s ignored.

It's a shame our food arrived really late. We placed our order before 7pm and our food order should have arrived at 7.40pm. We had very hungry children waiting. plus the app didn't have any delivery tracking for the restaurant.

It took 2 hours for our food to be delivered and when it arrived it was average. Spice Master refused to issue any money back for the long delay and for ruining our evening. Very dissatisfied customer.

The food was hot and tastey however I could tell the rice had been cooked a long time ago and it qas lacking its usual colour! The Arabian rice I usually buy from there is more vibrant and has more fruit in. I buy it because it looks gorgeous and tastes it but today it was a pale creamy colour.

First time customer at spice master after seeing their fb page... The food was delicious, worth the 5star rating and more.. We had a chicken chat starter then a chicken jalfrezi + two butter chickens all with mushroom rice with onion salads and mint raita with poppadoms....Will definitely be a returning customer....

Food normally is spot on. Ordered online and 2.5 hours no food, and haven't mastered how to answer a phone . Guess it's not coming. I'm still waiting for these guys, they are a joke.

The best Indian takeaway you will find. Meat samosa and mixed Naan are phenomenally good.

Simply put the Spice Master’s is the gold standard of Indian cuisine in Gloucestershire . The chef here is working some magic in the kitchen to make even the most “standard” of Indian curries taste incredibly flavoursome and spice packed. You don’t want to miss this place. I’ll definitely be a regular. Thank you the chef

Best Indian around but Have family come over tried calling 20 plus times for collection what a shame they’ve just lost a £300 plus order from us! All they had too do was answer the phone 😂

No complaints. I tried phoning a number of times, to warn you we were COVID positive. But as you were busy, no one picked up the phone. The food was absolutely fantastic. Thank you It was my fault that I didn't write that on a note.

Korma was a little spicer than normal. Still enjoyed it.

Been coming for couple years now but tonight probably has changed that damaged items then when you try call it says the number doesn’t exist I don’t rant about stuff because it’s life but when ur £30 down the drain with only a naan really eatable and can’t speak to anyone to resolve the issue the only thing I can do is review.

Food is always amazing, not greasey and nice and fresh. When attending on person, you can wait a while before anyone comes to serve or take the order. Online ordering charges, even for collection. Cards accepted which appears rare in the locality.

I think the food must of left the restaurant way before it got to us. We are only 5 mins away and our food was stone cold. Which is a shame as the food is beautiful as usual and our fave Indian. That let it down today very much.

The korma spicy possibly chillis the bhoona had no onions and a 1/4 tomato and was spicy felt like it had chillis in everything and hot Shame ordered before from here was good but unfortunately I will look for another restaurant

I've ordered from Spice master a good 50 times or so now. Here's my review of all of those experiences: Delivery: They tend to take slightly longer compared to other restaurants, on average I'd say it takes about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes for food to reach my door, my house is roughly 20 minutes away from the restaurant. Food: I usually order a Chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and some poppadoms. The Chicken tikka is honestly 10/10, hands down the best in the Gloucester area. The sauce is thick and flavourful, the curry includes a good amount of meat and the portion size is great too. The rice is average at best, other restaurants I've been to in the local area have slightly better rice. The poppadoms seem a bit soft, I'm unsure if they're being made differently but most other restaurants stay crispy for longer. Overall, thanks to the curry being so flavourful having a decent amount of meat and having a decent portion size, the food earned 5/6 and was only let down by the rice and poppadoms. The staff are lovely and I'm happy to offer a 6/6. The delivery takes as long as it needs to do, but I would like it to be a bit faster. I've had a few late orders recently too. 4/6 Overall it's an easy to recommend takeout and my go-to for indian food.

Cold when arrived ordered 2 mint sauce and only got one!! Not happy meal for one for £20 not happy at all. Had to come out to meet driver didn’t know where he was going even tho we have ordered a few times now. Not happy with food being cold.

It was Valentine’s night so probably busy, an hour was reasonable due to the day, my wife had prawn curry she said it was nice but prawns were very small. My rogan was nice big pieces of chicken, the chips where soggy and not very nice, I would said need a oil change or re-cook but just guessing, popadoms took one bite tasted stale

I had the "meat" curry, which I believe was lamb, the meat was so chewy it was inedible, which is a shame as everything else was tasty.. not sure we'll order again.

Have been a customer for many years with no issues but this time I found a bone which looked like it could be a chicken foot in my meal. Restaurant were not helpful and advised to phone JustEat to arrange collecting the meal in order to consider a refund - couldn’t find a phone number for JustEat so lodged with them and sent photos. Am waiting for outcome. Could not eat this meal and sadly will not use Spice Master again. Very disappointed, very poor customer service and where previously have recommended Soice Master will do the opposite now ☹️

Disappointed. Food arrived tepid. Only one mint sauce when I ordered two. Food all very salty and chicken tikka masala was bland and watery. It's a shame because I've previously enjoyed their food.
