The best restaurants in Teignbridge South West

Absolutely dreadful, the man who works there is unbelievably rude, i ordered before had a dreadful experience where he actually argued with me over evidence I sent of the state of the food I wouldn’t even feed to a ferret and refused to resolve the issue. I thought I’d try again as my usual place wasn’t open and again absolutely horrific however not worth the brain numbing agony of trying to complain. I definitely know from now on to stay away from this place so no, I wouldn’t recommend.

Booked an early meal 18.45 for two. Lasagne excellent Scampi excellent Did not have a starter but finished with predictable vanilla ice cream, very good

Lovely greeting and very polite. Place was clean and tidy and well stocked. Downside being it was warmer outside.

Overall, the Kings Arms is pretty good. It's an old building which is quite attractive but I'm not sure about the fairy lights everywhere on the ceiling! Beer is well kept and the food offering is pub grub - nothing pretentious and nowhere near 'fine dining' but good, wholesome, well cooked and presented food. The only downside was the service from the staff - one minute taking your plate away whilst you're chewing the last mouthful, the next you have to go looking for someone to take a dessert order! Why does no one serving customers scan the room theses days to see if anyone needs attention?

First time here today gorgeous food had a amazing Caesar salad a toasted sandwich a coffee an orange juice looking over the sea with the sun how more better can it get

You know what you get with a premier inn Rooms clean and sufficient plenty of tea and coffee available Be aware the restaurant is no longer a beefeater they've pulled the contract at this site Food is cooked and prepared by premier inn staff Evening meal is poor Menu is limited Pizzas are frozen ones from across Tesco and they charge £12 for this £13 for a frozen battered fish they describe as beer battered is shocking lol 🤣 The mark up by the company is huge Avoid eating in the restaurant No beer on tap it's all bottled beer poured into a glass

Another great meal tonight at the Claycutters. First off the play area was great fun for our 2 young children, it has a helicopter, speed boat, ride on mower as wells as swings and a slide etc. There were 9 of us eating in total and all of our meals were superb as always. The staff are all very friendly and proffesional. We always know we'll get a great meal and service when we come here and would highly recommend it.

2nd visit for us and a first for are really good friends , lovely pub and lovely welcoming booking is essential as it’s so popular. All guest went for the Sunday roast , beautifully cooked meat was amazing , beef perfect and the lamb was really good lots of vegetables and lovely gravy . No chips this time but hopefully next yr can highly recommend.

Popped in to get a meal deal ,but when i checked out it turned out that the one remaining bottle I had picked was not part of the meal deal. The gentleman tried to help by looking for the manager and a call was put out. The manager didnt appear and so I decided to go and look in the wine section for the correct bottle. I asked a young lad who was replenishing the shelves where I could find the particular wine. When I explained it was part of the meal deal..he said he knew where the boxes were in the warehouse and would go and see if there was any. He returned with 2 boxes, rose and red . Thank you LUKE, you are a credit to Tesco.

Visited for breakfast and my sister wanted scrambled eggs on toast while I wanted a large breakfast. They said they couldn't make scrambled egg. We said it was fine in the microwave even and they refused. So we left.

Always lovely food and acomidating staff It is a lovely place to visit with plenty of entertainment 😀 bring on the real summer months and lots of fun to be had

The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about. But what really put me off, was the way the cook was speaking to the lady taking orders. He was so rude to her when she was only doing her job. And she does it so well, I felt embarrassed for her. She's always efficient, smiley and happy to help. Usually the food is to a better standard, but the cook clearly had something going on tonight.

I popped in for breakfast and found it a bit awkward. The signs were to the breakfast buffet which I assumed would be an all you can eat for a fixed fee. Instead you order at the bar then take your ticket to the buffet where the chef adds the items you have paid for. I’ve been spoiled by breakfast buffets and left disappointed. There were only a few of us in there around 9:15am
