Placed an order for delivery at 8.10pm, was promptly phoned and asked to change our order as they didn’t have cookie dough. 10.20pm still no delivery, so called them, to be told no one had come to pick up the delivery and they were now closed! Absolutely terrible customer service. Would have been nice if they’d phoned to tell us! Girl who answered the phone didn’t even apologise. Will not be using again. Will go to Mamas in future!

Food never turned up, time just kept getting later . Never again

Absolute disgrace! There is no other way to explain our experience. 2 of the cookie dough deserts came out and they were cold so when we told a member of staff they apologised and took them back to the prep area where they was given a massive mouthful of abuse from the girl who obviously thought the world owed her a favour. They then brought another cookie dough which was as it should be. Unfortunately when one of the previous ones were returned to us it had a hair on it. This obviously was not going to be eaten so we went back with it to which we were told “well it will have to wait!” In an aggressive manner. A refund was given as by this point we had had enough of all the messing around and verbal abuse towards both customers, but even worse the verbal beat down that the member of staff kept receiving from the girl in front of customers and children.

Items missing from order. As it was build your own with missing toppings money has been wasted. The food that arrived was enjoyable.

I was given the wrong desert and there was icecream missing

Super fast from ordering to delivery. Delivery driver was polite. Lost a star because it was tasty, but isn't what it used to be. Not as many toppings and milkshake didn't have as much flavour, seems like they've cut down a lot on their ingredients.

Waffle didn’t looked cooked right, was also cold

Waffles were great but delivery driver didn’t give us the ice cream and the drinks. Had already left a tip too so disappointed. awaiting refund for the drinks but doesn’t reflect well on Just eat/delivery. No problem with Waffle Inn.

Portion sizes decreased and not worth the money

They only brought one drink and no ice cream which we paid extra for.

Have been coming here for years (see previous review). Unfortunately won’t be coming back. Waited for 30 mins in an empty restaurant. They prioritised the just eat orders. No intention of preparing our order when asked. Two very disappointed kids.

The lady who delivered the food was very rude and abrupt to me and my friend! She kept asking for me to meet her but I was unable too as my young daughter was in bed. So my friend went and met her and she was shouting at him saying she only has 5 mins to deliver the food. I tried giving her directions to my house. And I also put it in the comments when I ordered the food. When she rang she hung the phone up on me twice and told me to find her.

Took too long to come, could tell it had been sat on the side as my banana toppings were dark brown and the crepe was cold

Quick delivery, a lot of money for what it is. Ice cream is £3 for a very small tub of vanilla with a flavoured topping

Swings for seats! What a fun idea! We had a sweet tooth and walked in here. Staff were lovely, plenty of seating. Very forgiving and did not mind my boys enjoying themselves in the back on the swing seats. I spent around £30 for nachos, latte, 2xbottled squash, build your own pancakes and waffle. Very happy lot we were today!

Finally got round to treating ourselves to some waffles & they were amazing. Will definitely have them again.

Usually would give a 5 star is its normally really good! But unfortunately whoever was working today wasnt doing too good a job as the topping were lack luster and the milkshakes were almost flavourless. Disappointed with this one but usually pretty good

Actual address was not what was shown on the map, and speaking to the driver, it wasn’t showing the correct address. It was showing TQ2 6WS by KFC rather then the actual address within church walk.

Amazing staff, helpful and not afraid to help you to choose from the extensive options, atmosphere is amazing and suitable for all the family, food is amazing, big portions for both waffles and milkshakes, needed take away boxes and cups, 10/10 recommend, best to dine in and have the full waffling experience

half of order missing. when calling the establishment somebody answered the phone and then put it down, then no answer thereafter. we had to the actually go to the restaurant to address the issue.

Pancake was cold, too many almonds and not enough strawberries. Definitely not worth the money

The service here is non-existent. Place was empty, except for us, and we left after 15 minutes because my disabled companion was expected to struggle back to his feet after sitting down, and walk back to the front of the shop to give the order, after being told by a girl-at-a-till in the front area to take a seat at a table at the back where there’s menus. The girl-at-a-till could not be bothered to walk 10 feet to serve us in a totally empty room on a Saturday lunchtime! One other teen staff member was fastidiously cleaning the underside of furniture structures around us and totally ignored us; getting a gleam on stainless steel and aluminium was more important than the welfare of the only two customers in the whole place ! The food was outrageously expensive for what you get, the menu card was sticky, poorly designed, and confusing. And the place looked shabby, grubby and on its last legs, quite frankly. Apparently you are expected to go into the dark interior of this building, sit down somewhere, read the menu and choose what you want, and then get up again and go to the front counter to put your order in. One wonders whether you have to get up again and go and collect your food once it’s been prepared! Waffle-Out would be a more apt name for this dive in the less salubrious part of Newton Abbot. We later realised why it was empty on a busy Saturday lunchtime, and any positive reviews must’ve been made by friends of the owners.

Poor food, they have upped their prices but down-sized the portions by half. Used to get a big bowl of cookie dough and now its in a tiny cardboard box. Will not be ordering again

Every time I order it's consistently 1 + hours, wait regardless of time of day, they accept the order then just sit with it, I ordered nearly two hours in advance today, they accepted the order an hour ago and it's still sat at waiting to be prepared, whenever the items arrive their soggy and cold, will just order from mama's down the road in future Now because I had left a negative review, after 3 hours of waiting they have cancelled my order, WHILE THE DELIVERY DRIVER WAS ALREADY AT THE RESTERAUNT AND THE ORDER HAD BEEN PREPARED FOR OVER AN HOUR

No flavour to the milkshakes at all may aswell of ordered milk

Paid £3 for flavoured ice creams but all that arrived was a tiny scoop of cheap vanilla ice cream with watery chocolate sauce on top (not Nutella at all!). Rip off.

The waffles are nice, wouldn’t recommend paying for the nicer “gelato” I paid £3 for two spoons of mediocre ice cream. On the other pancakes I ordered I also requested the free “soft serve” and did not receive.

Was craving something sweet so I thought I would try here. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I walked in and the menu is muddled, garish and confusing. Lots of v.loud music blaring and the decor is 70's chic brothel sauna.... The chef was an overworked wage slave baby who cannot cook he looked the part but did not live up to expectations. He was more interested in cleaning down and shutting up shop and seemed to be rushing. I asked about menu contents and he thought I was a lunatic cause I dont do cartoon menus so didnt get it. After waiting nearly an hour I got something on a plate thrown down in front of me and a half baked, fake apology for the wait from chef baby. I looked and found that I did not get what I ordered. But the thought of waiting another hour for pancakes and I got waffles I just took them anyway. The waffles were DISGUSTING. Under cooked, pale and stoggy and soggy and limp with watery chocolate sauce squirted on. Not worth £7.95 and no care had been taken with presentation just dumped on a plate. No maple syrup and not nice golden crispy sugar on top. Ive never experienced such appalling customer service in my life and baby chef needs to go to chef nursery school to be shown how to serve grown ups as he did not have a clue. I took 2 mouthfuls of said waffles and they were flavourless lumps of glutin and highly dangerous as a choking hazard. I just couldnt eat it and put plate on side and walked out. The Management of this place must be the usual cheap skate low life scum who uses this place as a shop front for Organised crime. Like everywhere in Newton it has no class and is tatt food for the masses. Baby chef needs to be fired and an adult take control that is not on parole or day release like Orsino Lounge. ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS.....

Went last night the 27/12/23 at around 7pm for my daughter's birthday treat. The young lad was extremely nice and polite interacted with my daughter and was very nice. Food was lovely and hot and perfectly cooked. We live in Paignton but will come back to this one 100%

Awful. Nachos were missing all the toppings, called the restaurant and they weren't interested. Said ' not our fault we don't hire the drivers' didn't even apologise just blamed the driver. The restaurant should check what they are sending out, it's not rocket science

The waffles were delicious as always, but I would like to thank and apologise to my driver: sorry for not hearing the phone ring to let you in and thank you so much for managing to deliver the waffles to us anyway, you're an absolute star 🌟

Terrible icecream it was like ice cream

Not a single item with the order was correct. It was 10 minutes late. We rang the restaurant to fix the issue and all they cared about was how the delivery driver inconvenienced them.

£10 for frost bitten ice cream and sauce . Didn’t get any crunchie bits . Won’t be ordering again

Food is good missing parts of my order though

James was incredibly helpful and suggested trying their hash brown waffles. We tried the Smoke & Fire waffle which was amazing. Also the best milkshake I have ever had.

Did not receive 1 of our 2 desserts that we ordered and now cannot get through to them for them to rectify.

I wish I could post a photo of the £7.50 "sundae" I just ordered through uber eats. I certainly took one. A plastic cup the height of a toilet roll tube if that helps you visualise, three quarters full, some ice cream or gelato in the bottom with a sprinkling of fruit on top. No cream, syrup etc just as described above. Save your money, buy the ingredients from the supermarket and make one. I actually feel robbed. Unfortunate. What was delivered tasted nice, but the size and lack of ingredients left me feeling seriously underwhelmed. I'd have ordered again multiple times in the future had I been treat right this time. I can't risk doing so.

The food was in eatable. The pancake came freezing!!!! The Brookie had gone to mush!!!! And cream came not ice cream. All ruined

Order arrived after an hour. Was only 2 boxes of nachos with nothing but cheese on them. Phoned to complain and the chef used inappropriate language and admitted it was his fault. Requested a refund and never got a call back. Waiting on justeat to refund now. I don't recommend and will not be using again if they can't do basic simple orders ontop of a long wait. Very poor food and costumer service that didn't even go through with compensation.

My item arrived not quite warm, the waffle tasted doughy and uncooked, almost with a sogginess about it. The restaurant said it would have been cooked thoroughly and that whatever happened between them and my address would have caused this. It was inedible and km awaiting a refund from just eat

The waffle was nice, a little cold. The almost favorite shake, which I have ordered a few times in the past and it's been amazing. This time it tasted like nasty cereal. Wasn't the lovely sweet salty shake. Also it's not very cold.

Was a very pleasant experience, I had a banana and chocolate waffle and it was one of the most well presented and delicious treats I've ever had, excellent service too and I highly recommend!

We didn't go but got delivered omg turned up one hr late and cold. phoned to complain told sorry but got to go to just eat.Just eat told us it was restaurant responsibility called back restaurant told sorry and told to come tomorrow to speak with manager as had already gone home which i guess explains the bad waffles and service.So before ordering make sure their is someone in charge that way you might get your order on time and edible.

Came here with friends last night, got a savoury waffle (Italian Job) and a sweet waffle (Go Bananas, Go Nuts), all really good food! Every time a family came in the kids were super excited about the swing chairs. Definitely coming back!

Really delicious food with a great sweet and savoury menu including lots of delicious vegan options!! Would very much recommend it to all the family!

The crepe was over cooked and hard, my partners waffle was undercooked and very doughy.

Found a piece of black plastic inside one of the waffles, we phoned up the shop and the first person to answer after we explained about the plastic just started saying hello repeatedly then hung up. We rang again and spoke to a different person who flat refused they used any plastic in store and said it wasn't them. They rudely suggest we bring it down to them. Not using them again.

My daughter and her friend went there today to have a savoury waffle and then was told there wasn’t any, so ordered some waffle fries. They were frozen inside and raw, my daughter’s friend went up to complain and was told oh okay, I rang up and spoke to the manager James who said that nobody went up and basically called us liars. There was dirty plates everywhere in the sitting area and there was dirty cutlery in the cutlery holder for them to use. There was no apology from the manager. They paid £5 each for the waffle fries alone to be served fries that were raw and only 5-6 of them. Real shame as we have all been in there before and have had really good service and food, such a shame but gave them a chance to rectify it. So won’t be going back. Very disappointed.

Sent me the wrong item. Ordered Malteaser Sundae, got sent a Malteaser Milkshake. When I called up they said they have no way of telling which one is which so just guessed it 50/50. Told me the item was the same price, but it’s not, Milkshake is £6.00 and a Sundae is £7.50. I am a regular customer here, but will no longer be ordering from here anymore. Shocking service.

Always order from here, and never had a problem, until now. Ordered two Ice Cream Sundaes for delivery, but what arrived was 1 ice cream sundae and 1 milkshake. Called up to query this, and they told me they don’t actually see whether it’s a milkshake or a sundae someone orders because their system doesn’t specify, so they have to guess 50/50 which one the customer has ordered. The girl on the phone then told me that the milkshake and sundae are the same price, when they are not. £6.00 for a milkshake, £7.50 for a sundae. So not only did I receive the wrong item, I’ve essentially been robbed of £1.50 Ridiculous way to operate if you ask me, having to guess what a customer has ordered. Won’t be ordering from them again, as when I called was offered no solution other than to “Contact Just Eat”. Lovely way to fob the problem off to someone else.

Last time we ordered they forgot part of the order and we had to call up. This time, we both ordered the same but one did not have the sauces advertised on it. So we had one that looked great and one that was pretty dry and disappointing but we're supposed to have been the same. I'd have expected they'd check something like that before they send them out for delivery.

Ordered on just eat was rung 45 minutes later to be informed run out of waffle mix fair enough running out but it took 45 minutes to ring and let me know kids were waiting if known sooner could orders from elsewhere as to late now

Waffle didn’t seem quite cooked enough and delivery took longer than said but believe that was due to driver making other deliveries along the way by looking at the tracker. :)

Unfortunately we received the wrong waffle due to the driver, no manager at the shop to help us with the wrong delivery and young girl was not trained in giving refund or sending a new order but even thou it was the wrong waffle it was very tasty and so was the sundae

A nice dessert parlour offering waffles, crepes, pancakes, shakes and ice cream. Our first visit and the young lady was fabulous. Good customer service and great tasting desserts. The second visit was two young staff members. The experience was not so enjoyable. They had to repeatedly confirm my allergen order as they were laughing and chatting (messing about) behind the counter. Worth a try nonetheless.
