Yet again a wonderful lunch which my dear friends thought was absolutely superb. The Red Mullet and prawns stunned and so much food. Totally recommend this wonderful pub and never been let down. Thanks all for treating my friends to a great lunch with great service and friendliness. Pete.

An absolute delight and the best customer service i have seen in years. After a understandable mix up with my stepdaughter's order (the Mac n Cheese had just sold out, staff so busy, they hadn't had chance to take it off the menu) we were not only given a full refund, but one which had the 15% discount put back on. Such kindness by the staff was amazing. The venue itself is delightful, the food, gorgeous and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Lovely staff but booked meal was very late ( although complementaru prawn crackers were proffered ) and not brilliant ( very very lumpy gravy and "roast chicken "appeared to be two chicken thighs from a multi pack not slices of roast chicken) - also quite expensive £19 for one course for sunday lunch

A perfect end to our annual trip to Devon. We came across this gem on our visit to Shaldon beach and I immediately said to my husband let’s book here. So I cancelled our table at the Pig at Coombe our favourite and booked here. Roast was so delicious (ignore other reviews) and my daughter’s fish and chips looked great. I’m celiac and the roast was all gluten free (apart from the Yorkshire) so massive bonus for me. The weather was stunning so we managed to sit outside which had such a lovely atmosphere everyone knew one another. We went at a good time as we were leaving the place was buzzing which is a great sign. Thank you for the perfect ending to our little family holiday

I went because I wanted fish, thinking it would be fresh in this location. I had the fish stew but it was very light on the fish for £20. There were a few mussels in shells on the top but the rest looked liked frozen supermarket quality. We were sat right at the bottom of the stairs so you don’t get a moments peace with people up and down. And the toilets are vile!

Location is amazing, staff are friendly but the food is poor. We live locally and regularly try the ness about every year in the hope they have improved but sadly not. If you want to go for a drink and look at the view it’s perfect but don’t bother eating there.
