Lovely staff but booked meal was very late ( although complementaru prawn crackers were proffered ) and not brilliant ( very very lumpy gravy and "roast chicken "appeared to be two chicken thighs from a multi pack not slices of roast chicken) - also quite expensive £19 for one course for sunday lunch

Visited a few time whilst staying at the nearby campsite. Dog friendly. Staff are extremely. Good local bays beers . Excellent Chinese food. It’s rare to be able to eat Chinese food out in a restaurant with your dog. The barman was excellent was the beer garden. A welcome escape from busyness of shaldon. Highly recommended

Tucked away a historic pub rich in shipbuilding history of the river. Garden out the back with covered area for all weathers !

We had what was advertised as a ploughman's with a melting pot of cheese. At best it was a little congealed cheese in a watery pot of dishwasher, disgusting and inedible and at 20 quid a shot was hoping for much more. Walk on and get a pasty or a nice crab sandwich.

Absolutely soulless, we visited on a Saturday when the town was busy and all other eateries were full. We decided to try it as there were tables available. To be honest, when we entered and saw only 2 of many tables occupied, this should have been a warning sign. The place was deathly quiet, no music, no chatting, cutlery chinking. As for the food, it was mediocre to say the least.
